The pizzas are not that great for the price in my opinion. The store is clean, well maintained and presented. Staff members are kind, welcoming, friendly and helpful which makes their customer service good. I was recently offered a full size large pizza for half the price as the store was almost closing late at night and there were two lovely guys to help out.

Mmhh, Sal's. To say I was super duper stoked that this opened is a serious under statement. I love me some Sal's 😋 This Sal's in particular has so far been the best I've been to. It may look small from the outside but it's any but. A bar table outside, three booths on one side and two double tables on the other which faces the TV 😎 The tables and booths/chairs were kept clean as the cashier/waiter cleared tables as soon as customers waved goobye, and served you with a smile upon entrance. The cabinet, fridge and Jerry's freezer was well and fully stocked. When our box of pizza was done, we ate with gusto as soon as we walked back to our picnic area back at the beach park. Well done and thanks for keeping me fat and breaking New Years resolutions 🍸👏

We had dinner here on Friday the 25th September. The staff member took our order efficiently and there was a fifteen minute wait. The restaurant was clean. The pizza itself was nice but at over $40.00 for a pizza and two softdrinks we think this was overpriced (admittely for a larger style pizza)

Delicious pizzas by the bay! We started with 2 slices and ended up getting 2 more slices thereafter. Flavours were good and crust was nice and crisp. My favorite would have to be the classic pepperoni slice!

Stoked when this place took over the run down pot. Pizza here is the usual Sal's standard. Top notch. If you have not tried it before get the buffilo chicken pizza, it's hands down the best, and not on the menu for some reason. Service has been been fast the times we have eating here, staff are nice also.

Best NY Pizza. Really tasty, just like New York. We tried the pepperoni one. Big one. Free water in the place. Really fast serving. Other things looks really good but we didn't try it.

I had my first Sal's Pizza on Saturday night. Not totally fussed over all. Topings were sparse and a bit tasteless i thought. Fairly over priced for what I got. $45 for one pizza is a bit steep. Upside was the staff were really friendly and the service was excellent

We had a great pizza lunch here, the pizzas are a little expensive but very large and filling plus very good flavours, they could do with a more kids friendly menu but over all we would be happy to return the next time we are in Mission Bay for lunch.

Have gotten food from here heaps of times and it’s ALWAYS been great but thought to make a point to mention this experience: I called and made an order for my husband to pick up on his way home. Once he got home I realised the order was completely wrong. I went down to switch the sauces (my husband had already eaten some of the pizza that was made wrong so I wasn’t going to take it down with a slice missing). They were so busy when I came in but the guys still gave me their attention and were incredibly kind and apologetic. They switched my sauce and compensated for the wrong order. This is all we can ask for in hospitality! Things go wrong and that’s ok. It’s the solution that matters and I appreciated their attitudes. Not only is the pizza and garlic knots good, the service is great even when things go wrong! This says a lot about a place. Definitely recommend and will definitely return.

Had their pizzas a couple of times - both Mission Bay and Mt Wellington. Each time I looked for the smallest mistake / issue, but gotta hand it to them, they've impressed me every single time. Great toppings, great crust and yummy sauce. Good on ya Sal's.

Loved it so much, the kids insisted we go back a second time, just a day AFTER the first time! Just a cheese pizza for the kids and a pepperoni pizza for the parents, but everything was delicious. The staff was great too! (Note: both times we went to the Mission Bay location).

You can buy pizza by the slice here, and the slices are huge. The pizzas are good simple flavours. Maybe a little oily. But the quality and taste are top-notch.

This is my local Sal’s. It’s nicely located, but when it comes to baking, it’s neither right nor consistent. They are quite expensive, so I would expect their pizzas to be perfectly baked and it’s not the case: they are often under baked.

The staff are very friendly. The order us usually made in a timely manner and it is always up to the expectations and standards! Definitely recommend this place. Great view and great pizza !

On par with all of the other Sal's restaurants, which is to say very good. It's the only NY-style pizza chain in NZ, meaning it's a real treat for Kiwis who haven't had the chance to try the real thing in NYC.
