Reviews of Try It Out Restaurant

Really wanted to try this place for a long time, heard lots of great things.
I think a really good word to describe the whole meal is FRESH. All the ingredients tasted really fresh and high quality. I’ve had slightly better bun bo hue broth at other places but the ingredients were top tier. I love that they provide fresh chillies too!
Spring rolls were good, really crispy and of course tasted so fresh. The price for the spring rolls did seem expensive at first but they’re much longer than similar spring rolls I’ve had at other places.
And service was very quick even though the restaurant was mostly full!

Heard of this place from a VICE video, ended up going quite late on a Sunday night just over an hour before closing. Not a ton of people and the staff had started cleaning up but we were still able to order and eat. And yeah just as other people have said and as people have seen in the VICE video this places offers some amazing Vietnamese food. I had the pho with rare beef and it was really really good. Tasted fresh, very flavourful and fragrant, exactly what you expect out of great Vietnamese food. If your in the area or even if your not it's definitely worth it to Try it out.

Arguably the best Vietnamese noodle soup restaurant in Auckland! The toppings are of premium quality, and the bowl is always served super hot. Totally worth stopping by when around south Auckland. Money's worth even with slight price increase, and no paywave.

As always, still busy and nice customer service! Tasted good and I will recommend it to my relatives and friends. I will come back again.

This place is really tasty - highly recommend combination vermicelli, pho was really authentic and nice with extremely tender and fresh beef. Banh mi (lemongrass pork) was a bit of a let down - the meat was amazing but felt like it needed more flavour which could have been added with some fresh chili, pate (very sad to not have this), or by pickling the veges.

Enjoyed our meal! We got deep fried spring rolls, fried calamari, rare beef pho noodles and lemongrass beef vermicelli. Soup was really flavorful. Prices aren’t bad but reviews suggest there has been gradual increases. There is parking outside the restaurant.

Because I have very high standards when it comes to pho, I'd give the food a 4.
Nonetheless, I highly recommend their iced tea. Lychee milk tea was nice. Jackfruit milk tea would be better if it had a stronger jackfruit taste.
I found the wrappers for the wontons and spring rolls to be a bit too thick for my liking so it was a bit floury for me. They also just gave a handful of sprouts and lots of noodles- not much broth.
Restaurant and toilets were clean. Servers were nice.

Pricey for a low-mid range restaurant. It was a good option for a reasonably priced nice food - not anymore. We have ordered three noodles, a set of springrolls (served 2) and a salad and a drink and cost us $100. $33 per person? hmmm
