Very recommended, good food and friendly staffs. My husband and I bought some food takeaway and the cook give us one more free Naan, such a surprise! Enjoy the nice India restaurant🤗

First time I've been here. Ordered my food , sat down and looked around. The floor needed vacuuming the glass was all dirty, scuffmarks on the bar kickboard and those poor fish. Swimming in a green algae covered fishtank. First thoughts after noticing this was, omg I hope the foods good. And yes it was very tasty. Well done, but hey come on . Clean your place up. Would have given them a higher rating if the place was clean.

I liked the taste of the food that they serve. I had chicken Hyderabadi. It was very well made. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Good customer service. Clean bathrooms.

Very friendly and polite service. Great food too. Loved the Chicken do Pyaza and Garlic Naan. Chicken Hyderabadi was nice and something new. Tandoori Chicken could have been spicier..

I have been to Yellow Mirchi few times. Friendly team here always welcomed us with a smile and delicious food. My kids love Butter Chicken with Cheese Nan. My favorite is Chicken Biriyani with yogurt Raita. Its simply delicious, you will never find this taste anywhere else. Must try. Paneer and Veg curries yum too. Relaxing decor, amazing service, visit and see/experience it yourself.

I seem to have a different experience each time I visit. I usually order the lamb tikka which often doesn’t have any capsicum in it and once it was just lamb and sauce! It’s also impossible to know what level of spice to order because it’s so inconsistent. The naans are amazing though and I’ll probably be back as it’s the best Indian food in the area.

Yesh the chef was very friendly and made us a delicious and slightly unique curry with lots of flavour! Was very nice for a change up from your basic butter chicken. Rich, creamy and sweet, and tasted very authentic. Was good value, would recommend.

The chicken lollipop dish is one of my favourite dish here...so tasty and addictive. The vegeterian curries are awesome too and wouldn't go wrong with some cheesy naan. Staff are friendly and easy going...highly recommended!

We took our three teens out for dinner tonight and shared the chicken lollipops, onion baji, prawn saagwala, lamb Hyderabadi and chicken Tikka Masala, with 2 garlic naan. Everything was perfect, very tasty and fresh. Friendly service and just the right amount of attentiveness. Relaxed atmosphere, but lively. Clean premises. Perfect for an informal family dinner.

I love this restaurant! My partner and I go once or twice a week since new management. We used to go when it was curry leaf but the quality of food started to decrease towards the end and we stopped going. We thought we’d give it a try once Yellow Mirchi took over and the Curry’s are so much tastier! I could never finish a curry leaf curry because I got bored of the flavour but the new Curry’s are so tasty and I always take the left overs home!!

Been here twice for dinner. My experience here was so good. Staff are great and very fast service, great staff. And the food here is great and reasonably priced...Love the entrees :)

I say their butter chicken & rice is pretty good along with the other dish takeaways I had and the owners are really down to earth when you chatt to them, I haven't yet experienced dining in the restaurant yet so it's a 4 star for now. Possibly when I do dine there I'm sure their hospitality is awesome, but until then.

Just ordered a Butter Chicken from here - drove home to west Habour and it was still hot - it was so fresh. The taste is amazing. But the restaurant was empty - westies can I encourage you to support this restaurant - the food is amazing.

It's a good restaurant for dine in or take away. Probably more appealing to European pallette with a decent balance of spices and flavours. Good enough for a neighbourhood Indian restaurant but don't go in expecting 'authentic' Indian cuisine. Some of their dishes are sub par with restaurants in Central Auckland. Recommend if you're feeling lazy on hump day.

Food was fantastic, hot and tasty. Super impressed however no one in the restaurant and i think the man that took our order could put a smile on his face and be a bit more engaging but hey the chef did an amazing job to out class the service. I think i will preorder next time and then just pick up

Great tasting curry and pretty good service. Only downside was that it took 40 minutes to receive our order of two curries and 2 naan (takeaway). I'd suggest calling well in advance :)

Just had family meal here and this is now our go to place to eat, awesome service awesome food, awesome atmosphere and awesome price. If you havent eaten here yet then its got to be on your must do list. Our meals were just beautiful.

This establishment is of high quality upon a quick inspection (i performed) i determined the structural integrity of the building is sound and the double glazed windows make you feel secure and is good for kids, infact it is great for kids. The floor has a clean wooden finish and after stamping on every inch of floor i found no squeeky boards which is great for kids. The floor is clean there is a small robotic vacuum the is constanly vacuuming dirt to ensure no slips trips or falls can occur making it fantastic for kids. The menu is large and very good for kids ranging from naan breads to butter chickens to diet coke the merchi has it all and tastes better than even curry shops in india. The merchi is superbly managed by a genuis man named Potamo, who since being in management increased sales by 20%. Eating the yellow merchi brings alot of health benifets like improved bell movment, 20% increase in speed, 5% increase in hearing, 31% increased eyesight and 14% strength increse. All these benifets provided by the yellow merchi are exellent for kids. All in all the merchi is the finest curry shop in all of west auckland and possibly the country 5 stars all day long.
