Food and ambience both..well worth it. Love all those lanterns 🏮. Service was good. Recommend booking ahead of time as the place is small and fills up very fast.

Food was fine- taste-wise- although Kung Pao Chicken consisted of 60% chilli peppers. After being told it would take 10-20min for our takeaway order, we waited 40min. Another person came in during our wait to pick up an UberEats order and when they followed up, they were given a free can of coke as an apology for the delay, but nothing for us- not saying we were entitled to it or anything but was just interesting to note the differential treatment.. perhaps we should only order takeaway on UberEats?

Tasty dishes with an authentic feel. As the name of the restaurant implies there are some chilli dishes here, and also the usual favourites like sweet and sour pork. Service was good and friendly.

We had a fabulous lunch here at the Chilli house. The food was served fresh, hot and fast. Even though we weren't in a hurry we were very grateful for receiving quality food in a timely manner. We had, fresh veggie spring rolls as an entree then we moved onto Asian burgers, 1 chicken and 1 tofu burger which were both delicious and to finish we had a mix plate of dumplings, pork, prawn and chive and chicken and chive with the house special sauce and these we absolutely devine, homemade, fresh deliciousness. To all those who reads my post head over to the Chilli house either in Cambridge or Hamilton and enjoy the delicious foodie treats this team has to offer. Good all round pricing no complaints from us on this visit. I lookforward to returning when I come.back to the waikato.

The food is a little expensive, but the quality very high. The seating is a little tight, but there is always room. Good staff, quick to respond and polite. A good Chinese drinks range. Some foods arrive quickly, such as noodle and dumpling dishes, but some some of the more complicated mains naturally take a little longer. For me its a great place to eat good comfort food in cold months. However, despite all the positive, the menu is missing set combination meals, where a single person could have a small amount each of several foods as a single meal: since we are reticent to share dishes during the pandemic such an option would be great.

I am the annoying guy who turned up at closing for takeaway Dumplings and a pancake. The service was amazing and swift. The dumplings were some of the best I have ever had, fresh and perfectly cooked. Simply delicious!!!! I highly recommend!

Great tasty food. Very busy in the seated area and a lot of take away traffic. The people that run the place are lovely especially the front desk lady. Portion sizes are generous. Ambience is good too. Recommend booking for weekend nights.

Did a 10 year stint in China. This brings back the memories. Really authentic Sichuan food, not as spicy as they serve over there, so us mere mortals can hack it. Really enjoyed it. Even got a broad range of dumplings and broth with no spice for the delicate among us.

This place is amazing. Order always arrives on time with their online ordering. It is so addictive delicious, that since trying their food I have made four more orders in two weeks. Just when I think I've found my new favorite food I order something new from the chilli house and fall in love with the new dish. If your think about going in for food or ordering on line stop thinking about it and say hello to your new favorite restaurant.

Had a great meal at Cambridge Chilli House. Followed another reviewers advice and had the beef and coriander starter and a Tsingtao beer (massive and amazing). Also recommend the spring onion pancakes and the pork and shrimp pan fried dumplings. The portions are big-particularly the starters so consider sharing. The atmosphere was buzzing and will definitely eat there again.

Awesome food and atmosphere! Wonderful memu with lots of variety. Staff are friendly and efficient. Some of our favourites include beef & coriander salad, spicy beef hotpot, and the spicy fried chicken is incredible! Tsingtao beer is a perfect match. Highly recommended!

This is a great place! Lovely restaurant, they offer authentic Szechuan food of great quality. I haven't had real Sichuan food in nz for long long time. This was just amazing. Great dan dan noodles, mapo tofu, amazing dumplings in chilli oil, best dumplings ever. Beautifully decorated, along with super friendly staff, efficient and welcoming. Terrific proper Chinese restaurant, all kinds of meals, so many different and unique options, and so far all delicious! Would definitely visit again, great Chinese restaurant!

Every single thing that came out was delicious - My favourites were the Spring Onion Pancakes, the Beef & Coriander salad, and the pan fried dumplings. We went with a group of 10 people and it came to $210. Will be back again.

It is recommended to use fenugreek instead. Fried Udon is delicious. ———— We came from Tauranga to try this and it didn't disappoint us. The Chinese burger tailors to local taste, so it is different from the one you will get in China, but it's definitely a sucessful expriment. We love the taste and varieties! Pan fried dumplings were delicious, especially with the home-made chilly sauce. For the Youpo noodle, the sauce was awesome, though it would be even better if the noodle can be more chewy. There is nothing to fault for the service even at a busy time. Highly recommend.
