C.My partner and I were just passing by, we thought the decoration and simplicity of the place was very attractive. We shared a big size burger with some sides and we got pretty full. They cut it in halves for us to share, presentation was amazing and the flavor was powerful. Definitely we would like to give other stuff in the menu a go.
B.Best burgers in Chch! My partner and I love to come here for the great burgers and delicious chips and gravy. Getting a burger, pint of chips, gravy and a beer for just under $24 is incredibly good value. Last time we went the service was a little bit slow but that's probably largely due to a big group that was there at the time. Burgers and chips were delicious though, just wish the gravy was thicker and there was more of it. Would highly recommend though.

R.I was part of a work group who visited here last weekend and would like to give a shout out to all the hard working staff they were all great. I have a food allergy and the chef made me my own meal when he found out.👍 The food is amazing and words can't describe the meat❤️❤️. Would recommend the place for food to anyone they also have some amazing Beers

G.Visiting Christchurch for the week, on our first night we were brought to Burgers & Beers Inc to meet up with friends for a casual bite.
One can say the burgers were excellent value for money, the place didn’t have any air of pretentiousness other than being a quirky, straightforward diner with a few craft beers thrown in the mix. It genuinely felt like an American-style diner, with a fun hammer-horror twist. It captured the US burger-bar feel perfectly, right down to the help-yourself filter coffee. The burgers themselves were big, but a bit sloppy in the construction.
I was on a special diet and had to commend them on how easily they adapted the menu to create something suitable, in my case a fish salad. It had great flavor, especially the wasabi mayo. Tom was a great server, very amicable and he remembered who had which burger when delivering to the table.
I understand Burgers & Beers is a few years old now; it has that feel, the fixtures and furniture showing the age a bit and could use some upkeep.
On balance great fare for students and real casual dining, but for my companion the burger experience was a bit lacking compared to other eateries in the same genre.
T.The chips are very crunchy, the outside of the chip was like an oil shell. No flavor to them at all just salt. You do how ever get quite a large box for $5.90 chips and gravy. which is decent if you enjoy them. staff were polite and welcoming. nice outside area around back.

*.Blown away by the service.. Its my luxury burger choice and this place never lets me down.. I had the beef burger with the blue cheese in.. They got all sorts of burgers, they are the REAL Deal.. Regular burgers are big, and they have even larger ones that will feed 2 people easy.. Make sure you try the fries and onion rings...
C.First of all the service here is great!! I didnt get the girls name but she helped me decide on what to try. The food was amazing I had 1 burger and ordered another to take away 🤤 along with fries and onion rings which was my favorite part of this meal! It was so good I ate it before I took a photo. Pretty neat spot to be at on a lunch break 😍 I would definitely go there again when in Christchurch!
M.Burgers and beers always delivers the goods. More expensive than your other fast food type burgers, but you get a really fresh tasting and large burger for the price. The chips and gravy also compliment any meal. Service is always great

K.Visited on a Tuesday night, 6:30pm. One waitress swept off her feet, the restaurant was busy and the Uber Eats pickups didn’t stop she handled it very well. We found the restaurant to be uncomfortably cold, we asked the waitress to turn one of the two heat pumps on-she had to ask the manager/chef who declined.
Food was on point, waitress worked exceptionally well under pressure but the temperature of the place was horrible

R.What an experience! Not only were the staff inviting and a joy to talk to, the food was incredible too! I'd had a relatively late breakfast and still found the room to finish their out of this world "Sunday Roast" burger. Their fries were also phenomenal. Brilliantly coupled with their gravy, they were the perfect ratio of potato to crispness.
I'll certainly be back and won't think twice about it.

B.Burger buns were amazing. It doesn't get too moist like most burgers from the sauce. We had the bearnaise sauce burger and the flaming Mexican and they were great. Easily one of the best burgers I had.

r.Great haven't had them in years, great taste chips taste amazing just like chips used to be fryed and comes with gravy and you can get tomato sauce in those tomato shaped bottles. Your burgers were so awesome great taste and made well, could be cool if there was a burger off the day on Friday and Saturdays. M.The staff here are super friendly not only will they make you feel welcome but they have a great menu to feed the whole family. They offer fine in and takeaways and have a great selection of drinks, their milkshakes are a great choice. The restaurant is very tidy and has a great atmosphere if burgers are your thing then stop in a check them out. Best burger stop in Christchurch.
A.Nice and friendly with absolutely fantastic kumara chips. Made with beef tallow so crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. No nasty canola type oils. Lovely.

S.I remember when burgers and beers had cornered the market in Christchurch for gourmet burgers. This was back before the earthquakes around 2010. For whatever reason since then, they've unfortunately lost out to the likes of Burger Fuel etc. The chips and gravy here are still superior to most places however, and the burgers are still larger than anywhere else, but they're just not as nice as some others. The burgers are all pretty greasy which isn't always a bad thing, but due to the size it can get a bit sickly towards the end. Though they do have some lighter options, it's definitely not somewhere to go if you want a "healthy" burger. They do have some combinations you won't find anywhere else which can be interesting to try if you're a gourmet burger fan. If they lifted their standard slightly, they'd be back on top

H.Well the burgers are great. Possibly best in town. But the beers? Not so much. They have Beer Library literally 30 meters right next door, yet they serving beer that wouldn't stand a chance anywhere in Europe.
Also in the winter this place is really cold.
S.I loooove the burgers, and chips + gravy here! This place is my go-to on a Monday night with 2 burgers for $20, or on other nights if I can't be bothered cooking as it is quite close to home. Also love the setup in the restaurant, and the staff are friendly!

B.You get what is described - good burgers but takeaway standard. If you "eat in" be prepared to eat out of a paper bag and get lots of serviettes
to keep wiping your mouth! Personally would have liked the option of being served on a plate.

P.Fantastic veggie burger options, and their onion rings are great. I recommend that you avoid ordering at really busy times though. The quality of the food is much better when the cooks aren't rushed.
J.What it lacks in finesse it certainly makes up for in the food quality. Truly the best burger I have ever eaten. I ate it all, which for me is a first. Really impressed by the bar staff and the chef, certainly well worth a visit.

W.Grat burgers, but sometimes really soggy. They keep going from being awesome to average. If they were consistent I would easily give them 5 stars. But you really need to try them out.

S.Good evening sun in the carpark outdoor area. Happy staff really make the place more than a burger place even with an on licence. Monday not a lot of places are open where you can have a beer, burger and discuss a mates mental health from a marriage collapse.
Not really a date destination better than KFC and an upsize of her fries and drink but if on a Monday it would do. I would suggest add it as a destination to start a stag do or gathering point for the boys on a boys night out, everyone gets a burger and a couple buckets of beer for the table.
P.A very basic place that is exactly what the name suggests. Great craft burgers and a selection of bottled beers served in minimalist, unpretentious surroundings.

K.Vampiric undead chic branded looks bloody good. Rdu app gets you some good deals like free chips and gravy or a discount on the super burgers. Some cool concept burgers like pulp fiction or iwi birger but probably needs a bit more care in the kitchen to make it taste as good as it sounds.
Staff is nice and friendly and theres always a small crowd at all hours.

Menu is very extensive and like a lot of NZ restaurants cater to many dietary needs such as GF (gluten free folk), DF (dairy free folks) NF (nutcases) and FYF (Fill your Facers..we're in this category). They also cater for those who like bulls, sheep, birds, pigs, deer, fish and ice cream.
Huge plus are the deals...especially the ones including drinks of the alcoholic and non alcoholic types.
So, if like us, you are in need of some huge burgers, great chips (not fries...chips)... come eat here!
