I heard this is the best Korean food New Zealand has to offer. Some said the foods are even better than Auckland. Personally, I found the food did taste nicer than Few Korean restaurants I visited. I enjoyed the ox tail bone soup. My favorite is the seafood noodle soup which there are not many Auckland Korean restaurants has.

Hits the spot (: the staff are Korean so the food tastes authentic with generous portion sizes. Service was great too. I had the 잡채 $17.50 and 계란찜 $7.50. Would have loved to try their stews and pancakes - I’ll return for that next time !

The food is delicious. Staff are nice and welcoming. The place just looks fine but a bit of organization and beautification will give the customers a better experience. The parking is also limited here but you can park on the road.

Good food and big portions so be careful not to over-order! We had the stew ($50) and the seafood pancake ($24) and it was too much food for two people, so we had to get takeaway containers for $0.50 each.

This is my first restaurant to visit by myself. It's like my new comfort place. They have a karaoke and a wide variety of dishes. I highly recommend this place if you want to try korean cuisine while enjoying the atmosphere. Customer service is also noteworthy 👌 good job. I want to visit it again.

I had the fried chicken with sweet and spicy sauce. Absolutely delicious!

Came here for lunch and had a great experience, the food was incredible and the staff was so nice. Only "downside" was we ordered waaaay to much and ended up having leftovers for a couple of days. It's a shame there aren't better views because it's such a nice space with big windows, but I suppose Riccarton is to blame!

Yum!!! First time having Korean bbq and the hostess was Amazing! She took very good care of us, helping cook our food, recommending how to get the best flavours by using the sides. The food the service and the atmosphere were Amazing!!!

This restaurant used to be on casual street in town. Now moved to a larger restaurant with indoor space. However the parking space is comparatively alot less than the capacity of the restaurant. There are private parking at the back but cars will get towed if parked at the wrong spots, some parking off street. The food is as great as it used to be, large portion, authentic taste, quick table service even when they are busy. There are karaoke rooms available too, not sure how it works.

Great place to have Korean food. Yummy food with nominal price tags. My favourite was spicy chicken stir fried. BBQ was awesome as this place is known for. Samosas were also good. Stuff service was good. Highly recommended.👍👌

Authentic Korean food. Especially the potato beef soup was the best of best. Their side dish and the fried chicken were awesome as well. Highly recommend this place. The beef stew (galbijjim) was a bit sweet and nice but the portion was not enough for one adult man.

Very good Korean food with friendly and fast customer service. Their hot stone pot bibimbap and chicken soup (samgyetang) were delicious and authentic. However I give 4 stars for their average interior seating.

This was my first time trying Korean food. The food arrived fast, and fresh. The Waitress was super friendly, and had top notch customer service I can't wait to come back and try something new on the menu, I had the spicy squid and pork belly it was delicious!

Absolutely delicious and authentic feeling Korean place. We ordered spicy rice cake, pancake, pork belly hotpot, beef ribs, and steamed egg. All of these were amazing. Side dishes were fairly standard, but they do offer free refills, which is nice. The service was good and the prices reasonable. Would definitely recommend over ordering like we did and doing takeaway!

It’s not bad food. But I can’t say delicious. Just normal food. I’ll not go back this restaurant again. But if I should choose one good thing which I have experienced at Eden, I probably say parking area!

Went for first time a week ago. So good I've already gone back and taken others to experience it. Staff and very friendly and welcoming. Food is delicious and speedy coming out. Portion sizes are perfect and cheap for the size. The only down side is that credit cards have a small surcharge - this won't be stopping me from going back again.

Not many places deserve a true 5 starts. Eden Alley is one of them. Great tasting food, excellent side dishes added as part of the main meal. The "Don Katsu Bento" deep fried pork cutlet lunch box is amazing.

Great place to have Korean food! All of food was amazing and the price was reasonable. The waiter was very friendly. Many people visit that place, so this restaurant is quite crowded. The side dishes were really good and they offer free refill. The Karaoke system was perfect.

Our meal here was fabulous. The only qualms I have is: 1) We waited for 5mins to be shown to our table 2) Not having dined at a Korean BBQ before, it would've been appreciated if the process of using the hotplate to cook said food was explained in the beginning.

Pleasant service with good food. Quite authentic Korean dishes but not the normal large portion you would typically associate with asian restaurants. The good thing is the authentic constant refill of the side dishes and they're yummy, although some variety to change with different days would be nice. Parking at this outlet can be limited and DO NOT park at other lots except the designated ones for the restaurant if you want to risk being wheel locked.

Delicious food, super friendly, funny, kind staff. We got complimentary starters and the waitress helped me pick out my first ever sura (which was delicious!!) wish our table was just a tiny bit bigger to fit all the delicious food on it. Reasonable prices for the food and portions you get!

We came as a group of 5. Eat quite a lot but the veggies tray for BBQ as if it a proportion of 1 people :) The waiter seemed seemed to be quite mad. Not sure what happened to him yesterday. But he is fast in service. In general, the food is good and the atmosphere is cozy.

Excellent Korean food. Some of the best Korean food you'll find in Christchurch. The service is very good. The premises were slightly dirty, which we found off-putting. But we keep coming back because the food is so darned good and we know we'll always be happy.

Decent food but the service was lacking

Went here for date night on Friday night. We received prompt lovely service from the people working there. The food was delicious, it was wonderful to get it all at the same time. We also used the karaoke service afterward. All in all it was a great night!

Great tasting authentic Korean food. Friendly and genuine staff. Good atmosphere. Parking is limited, so you may want to park elsewhere nearby. Always have a good time and great meals whenever we go.

It is a good place if you are craving korean food. I recommend the spicy pork no.18 if you are a fan of spicy food but if you prefer something sweet and beefy then no. 32 is the dish for you. They don't have much for their dessert menu. The place is good but it can get packed during dinner time but the food is worth coming here. They also operate a karaoke room for you to enjoy with friends and if you want that party vibe with a good karaoke system then this is the place to be. It's near Ancestral which is good because nothing beats a milk tea after a delicious meal. I highly recommend to friends and family.

Ordered number 18 spicy pork as it had been recommended in the reviews. Sadly, it looked nothing like the picture and was really just a plate of cabbage with very little pork. Tasty but not what was pictured in the menu.

A little spartan, like many Korean restaurants, but the menu is pretty good. We had the seafood soup for two which had squid, lots of muscles, but -- oddly enough -- no fish. My wife and I have had this same dish in L.A.'s Koreatown, and Eden Alley's version doesn't match up, despite the NZ$48 price. Really? You can't put any fish in seafood soup? Service was good. The decor, again, spartan.

My favorite korean restaurant! I must have ordered everything from the menu. My all time favorite is marinated beef stew. The ambiance is nice a clean. Can sometimes be loud, but everything’s good fun! Very accessible as well, plenty of parking.

Best Korean food ever had! The chicken wings are must try. Service could be improved though. A bit slow and lack of attention to customers. All other things are perfect. Will be back soon!

Quite authentic Korean food unusually available outside of Korea. Great tastes with competitive prices. It’s a bit casual atmosphere and comfortable. Amenities of the restaurant may need se improvement but they cannot be reasons of not to revisit by no means. Strongly recommended if you are looking for real Korean stuff in Christchurch!

Great food, quite affordable too. We had the sundubu jigae with beef and the pork hot plate. Each came with rice. We ate for 2 and were stuffed. Lots of parking outside the restaurant. Opens til late too.

This is Korea food restaurants. And the taste of food is really smillar with original taste. And there is karaoke room in the restaurant so you can enjoy the Korean food and singing songs at the same time. And they normally open the restaurant very late in the weekend. It is one of the best Korean restaurant in the Christchurch.

Food was really yummy and authentic, however we were served one set of sides among three of us while I would expect a set of sides for each person, but they refilled our sides when we asked:) The prices are also really good. We had a feast of beautiful, fresh, tasty food for 3 adults for something like $60

I love this place! Been there twice and the service is great, very friendly and will come over and ask if/when you want more side dishes. This will be my new regular place to eat. The food quality is amazing and delicious and the portions sizes are quite big :)

Excellent place, great staff, definitely a place to get authentic Korean dishes with all the sides, afterwards you can choose to do karaoke in their awesome rooms with great sound systems and lighting * for an all over fun place i highly recommend 😀

Eden Alley has been my go to restaurant for the last year, since moving to chch. Seriously the food in amazing, great atmosphere, and lovely servers! Definitely reccomend trying out the korean bbq. Restaurant easily accommodates for a couple or large group! Big menu to choose from, as well as the huge amount of side dishes and sauces they provide. ONE OF MY FAVORITES HANDS DOWN!!!!!!

Excellent place for authetic Korean dishes. Huge selection of choices on the menu and all very reasonably priced. This is our usual go-to place for our Korean cravings and fix. Car parks can be a nightmare so we normally park on Mona Vale Ave off Riccarton Road and walk there.

Still looking for that professional kitchen that can make fried chicken better than what we can do at home. One point for the fare and another for being one of the rare places that the kitchen is still open after 10pm, another for the service.
