The best fish & chips place in Riccarton, Christchurch. Fresh fish, thick cut, crunchy golden chips. My standard order: 1x battered tarakihi, 1x scoop of chips with chicken salt and a side of sweet thai chilli sauce. They never disappoint. 10/10👌

Our family lived in Christchurch between 1992 to 1997 and I remember the days when mom would drive me and my sister to this place to get fish and chips. Every time when I visit Christchurch NZ I would always come here to reminiscent of the old days. The last time I visited was back in 2015. The female owner is nice, she used to give us a little bit extra when we visited.

After a quick phone call it was only a 10 minute wait on the first day of level 3, and delicious as always! Fresh scallops were a treat! Never oily, cooked just right. Favourite fish n chip shop in Christchurch!

Small fish and chip shop on Church Corner. Decent service. A scoop pf chips and a fish is about $7 last i remember. Chips are reasonably crispy and fish is pretty good.

I was in need of a pace that sells good fish and chips in the location of Upper Riccarton, since I am very fond of fish, but I was not getting a single such shop. Later after a rigorous search I found out this particular take out. The taste is really very nice and scrumptious. Thanks a lot.

Fresco is one of the few places who know how to make crispy, clean fried chips. Our normal order consists of 2 scoop chips, 2 hotdogs, 1 fish and 1 crumbed hoki - all of which are great! In all the orders we have placed, they have been 98% consistent in terms of cook. 5 stars. Choice of salts: - Plain - Chicken - Garlic - Lemon Pepper

I was surprised, having seen the reviews, that this innocuous fish shop in an Asian market could be as good as suggested. But it is pretty damn great. Double frying for the perfect crisp chips and batter, and chicken salt available too. Happy to have found it.

Chips are very good, but scoop portion is a bit stingy as seen in the picture. Fish is tarakihi and was pretty good nice and moist definitely not overcooked.
