a.Good👍👍👍Definitely a good place to dining and hang out with friends and family. Their buffet style are amazingly attractive as lots of dishes we can choose. Finally I have the chance to eat at here tonight. We make booking at 530pm. Total 5 of us have eaten more than 100+ dishes😍😍😍😋😋😋
One thing to measure here is their staff. The staffs there are very friendly. And I wanna express our appreciation to one special female staff there name Lulu. She is a young girl with a good friendly sweet smile that is quite attracted the eyes of customer. Although she is wearing her mask but yet we can see her sweet smile. She is very proactive and pay attention to small details as well. She automatically say Happy Birthday to my partner even though she is very busy working that time. Although maybe this is just a small matter but for us we feel very happy and appreciated. I will recommend the employer to pay more attention to her as she really do her job well and very hardworking👏👏👏

T.Absolutely loved dining here. Our group did the premium all you can eat menu and let me tell you, those small dishes are so filling. Thought we could go longer but 4 rounds in and we were full. The cocktails were also really delicious

T.Appreciate the different available buffet price options. Good value for money and I personally enjoy the style of buffet (you order and they bring it to you) as it ensures you don't take more than you can eat! There's a teppanyaki grill bar that you can be seated at and watch too.
Cocktail options look amazing, although have yet to try. Car parking out back but easily missed when driving past.
Definitely worth a try!
S.Second time visiting. The first was for dinner and the food and staff were wonderful. Lunch this time was a little different. Atmosphere was off, staff weren't quite on top of everything, and a number of dishes were a little disappointing. Would happily try again but for dinner. Definitely worth a visit if you love Japanese and can put food away! Another downside is no coffee. That would have been a big bonus for lunch!
E.We love this restaurant and have come here many times now, sometimes as a couple or with friends and have always enjoyed it. Very fun experience and very beautiful fresh food. My favorite is the white fish and my husband loves the spicy chicken. The staff are always attentive and polite. Our favorite restaurant :)
C.If you are looking for a great experience and great food then Koji is for you! If you haven't tried Japanese buffet dining you won't regret it! They have different options for ordering. We choose the highest option @ $60 ea. You order up to 5 dishes and can continue that up until closing. A group of 7, we went to an evening session. We decided to order and share 35 dishes in the first 2 rounds and then choose what we individually liked after that! Don't worry they are small plates! Whether you are on your own or in a large group you will remember this for all the right reasons! ✅ from me for great food, wonderful staff, ambience, and easy location and parking on Lincoln Road.
J.There is a great variety on the menu and all very good. Such a wonderful experience. Great lighting in the evening. It was a mission but we tried our best to try just about everything on the menu and everything was great. Highly recommend! And if your gonna try attempt it all maybe share between a group of you haha!

J.Neat place on the outskirts of Christchurch. Essentially start off with a selection of dishes then continue to order small dishes whilst you dine in there.
Beef and lamb dishes were amazing!! Just cooked right, quite tender but not under cooked. Chicken was a bit blend, but not bad tasting. Overall not bad food, I would best describe this place as all you can eat but they serve the food and cook it fresh.
Service can get busy so sometimes a wait for drinks but when they do get your order they are generally quick.
Would advice to book as it is a popular place.
P.Great service from the host, he explained everything and was very attentive. The portions are small, which is good so you can try lots of different dishes. King prawns are delicious. In general there is lots of variety for everyone. The service was fast.
S.Undoubtedly one of the best buffet spreads in Town. Three levels of options and you pay according to the variety of dishes you want to sample and experience. I never knew Japanese cuisine could have this many variety of dishes until I saw their menu. There is no limit and you can eat all you want but make sure you leave some space for desserts if you want to enjoy the whole experience.
B.We have been several times now. Quite pricey, but you get what you pay for, which is excellent service and delicious food. I recommend in particular the spicy beef roll and tokoyaki. Great for a special occasion.
M.Loved the food and while the waiter was very nice and engaging, some of our orders were missed. The scallops had a green off taste, we didn't eat them after the first one, we told the waitress but nothing was done about it. But in saying this all the other food was perfect.

The food as always kept coming meeting all the people that ordered it. We were a bit disappointed the Japanese restaurant run out of raw salmon 🤷🏻♀️ However happy the other options were delicious as well.
I.We love this restaurant, have been 3 times and look forward to going again, Lord knows how many steps the staff do each night as they are back and forward to tables at such speed, they are always polite even when I'm sure they need a pull string after repeating the way the restaurant works time after time. Food is delicious, hot and nicely presented. It's always busy which shows its popular and the food is fresh and is brought to tables quickly. We travel an hour to go there so 2 hours travel return home, lucky its not closer as I'd be there every night stuffing my face! Thanks team look forward to seeing you soon.
A.Really good food, just be careful when it gets busy the food takes a bit to come out, and the cooking quality gets a bit random. Always get the mushrooms.
Update: The food somehow got even better recently, and they're more consistent and faster with food.
B.Great food, we have been multiple times now and it's been an amazing assortment of flavor every time. It seems a bit hit and miss with the service though, the staff are really friendly however sometimes the dishes come out really quickly with few mix ups and other times we are waiting quite some time. The other thing that seems to happen is the allergen dishes (GF) often get put on the table with no identifying them
A.Went here for valentines dinner with my partner, the service and food were delicious. We had the premium option and because we showed up almost an hour late we could choose 7 dishes instead of 5.
Everything was really fresh and delicious. You can sit right in front of it all being cooked if you want to as well.
The green tea ice cream is pretty good with the tempura banana and you can have up to 5 scoops per dish. The takoyaki(squid balls) and karage chicken were epic.
The only thing I didn’t like is that I couldn’t take anything home in a doggie bag.
A.Lovely environment. All you van eat for $27/person lunch is worth the money and tastes great.
One table must select one of the options and cannot mix. If you take buffet, you cannot order dishes for individual price.
S.My partner and I loved our dinner here. We both got the $39 buffet and ordered 36 plates between us throughout the night. The service was absolutely fantastic, the wait staff were always there to offer more dishes or clear the plates, very present without being over-bearing. The value is fantastic, we went on an empty stomach specifically to try everything. They have a really good quality range of dishes, make sure to have space for banana tempura and ice cream at the end too, yum :)

C.Have been wanting to try this place for a while now but having tried it I think I can say I won't be back. Have tried it nothing special. The tempura squid was greasy and the tempura very thick. The spicy chicken was dry and thinly cut. The spicy is just lots of sriracha. The yakisoba sauce was very salty. Definitely have had better elsewhere. Ribs were tough.

A.I can't recommend this restaurant more! My husband and I had a wonderful experience here. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the waiting staff were amazing. I was very shocked at how well they catered to my gluten and dairy allergies! If I would give it 6 stars if I could. I only wish we had a wee bit more time to finish our last bites before having to leave at 7pm for the next wave. Next time we are in the area we are coming back for sure!
S.We went with the smaller menu option and had heaps of choices and loved being able to try so many things. And ordering more of what we liked. Will definitely go again. No photos as we wanted to eat everything as soon as it arrived!
A.Quick and good food. The smaller portions allow you to try multiple different foods and because you only pay a set amount you can keep going for as long as you want/can.
Really good for a social event like a birthday or work do.

T.This would undoubtedly not only be the best Japanese Buffet in town it would hands down be one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever been too. We went for my mother's birthday. Mum is a bit of a connoisseur of all things Japanese and my goodness was was she impressed. The food was so fresh and so tasty and the service flowed like clockwork. The chefs that work there are magical food artisans and the lovely ladies that attended our tables were like floating angels carrying food temptations. A special thankyou An(n) one of the several lovely table attenders who served us and helped to pick our favourite dishes. This restaurant has to be seen to be believed!

J.Just had our first visit here and I can't be positive enough about our experience. We were here at 6pm on a Thursday and pretty much had the place to ourselves for half an hour. The staff were incredibly attentive, even when there were other customers and the food was fantastic. We had the premium buffet and were only able to try about 40% of the options before we ran out of room. The space is beautifully decorated and had great atmosphere. We will be coming back and if you are a fan of Japanese cuisine and like to eat as much as you can you will walk away happy!

S.Walked in and thankfully got a table. We had the $57 menu and ended up eating 17 plates, but was very full. I would recommend coming here early and on a very empty stomach. My personal favourites were the King prawns, spicy beef roll, octopus balls, and banana tempura. Maybe upto a 5 min wait between plates, while sometimes it can be served seconds after you order. Great atmosphere and food.
Update: September. Went back during lvl 2. Most of the fried food was a tad salty but not overpowering.
No takeaway food option if you havnt finished your meals, but maybe you could take a napkin.

You select from the menu and get small dishes bought to your table, and as you finish your dishes you can order more. Selection of two buffet selections $39 or $57. Highly recommend Koji.

J.Great food and variety. Unfortunately we were sitting where they were cooking and could see the vegetarian dishes being cooked on the hotplate with the meat and meat fat. Staff were lovely but didn't offer drinks through out the night and we had to keep asking.

Then everyone else had already ordered and started to receive their next 5, and my last one turned up. I ordered my second 5, and only 4 items eventuated. By then I was over it. Won't be going back.

E.All I can say is WOW, this was a fantastic dining experience and a hidden gem in the Christchurch restaurant scene. Value for money you cannot beat Koji. The food was delicious the wait staff friendly and it was a very enjoyable experience all around. I would certainly recommend Koji. The variety will keep even the fussiest person happy with so many dishes to choose from. I would recommend the $37 buffet or the $27 lunch buffet. Yum Yum Yum Yum Yum.

Well first of all street frontage always looks like it’s going off in there with all the lights on, once you walk in you feel like you’re not in Christchurch any more, the staff are friendly and helpful.
Now the food WOW JUST WOW. 53 bucks for the premium buffet worth every penny. They’re only little plates so order five at a time 3 done 3 rounds and we were FULL.
A must go.

R.We wernt going to stay as the menu wasnt explained to us properly to start with. So we were dissapointed when we went to order and found out we all had to order the same menu. The Resturant Manager goes above and beyond - REALLY glad we decided to stay. Absolutley full of flavor, dellicious and fast service. Rated as a new favourite of ours. Great to have a buffett cooked to order as well.

J.Wow! This place is awesome, we ordered the premium buffet and the food was amazing! The food is cooked to order, so you basically sit down and order small plates from a menu with a wide variety. Some favourites were the salmon sashimi, the squid tempura, the katsu oyster and the Karaage pork ribs. Then there is the service, which is really friendly and very helpful. Highly Recommended!

T.Great new Japanese Restaurant on Lincoln road. Can't fault it in terms of food, service, ambience etc. The cooked to order 'buffet' does work and all the food was decent quality. We had the premium menu and while the Teppan prepared food didn't seem to be quite as high end as a more traditional dedicated Teppanyaki restaurant, it was still very good, and the upside was the variety of dishes you can order for one price, not much waiting, eat as much or as little as you want. Will definitely go back.
