The staff were friendly, and the food was tasty and what you would expect from McDonalds. We had to ask for the table to be wiped when we arrived as it was dirty. It took around 15mins to receive our food. The bins were overflowing and needed emptying. Given covid and the emphasis on cleanliness this restaurant fell short. Happy for a manager to reach out and have the opportunity to put their best foot forward so we can experience a well run McDonalds.

The drive-thru service is efficient and fast, the place is set at a very busy area in Hornby next to the main shopping hub in the area. The drive-thru are however need to be driven around twice as you pick up your food.

Took ages for food to be prepared, told to "drive around and come back"... Packed the wrong order while we were sitting there, didn't believe that a combo was missing a drink o.O when asked where it was, closed the window so we couldn't hear what was being said. 25mins wasted on a 30min lunch break when only 1 other person was there! Don't recommend going here if you fancy a midnight snack wait till at least 5-6am when the staff are actually capable, listen, and don't screw up your order several times.

Getting better, have been given cold chips and no sauce with my nuggets. Also had to return on 1 occasion to get full order, it was left out of my order. I don't like the new straws or spoons, I go home and use my own.

Opens 24/7. Ordering counter area can be a bit crowded during busy times as it is a tidy space. Their drive thru design is a bit ‘funny’.

McDonalds doesn't always get the greatest marks for customer service, but one young man who works here really impressed me a few days back. I had ordered a good amount of food, including some Happy Meals for my daughters. As I was trying to figure out how I would carry it all to my car, the gentleman behind the counter (whose name I regrettably did not catch), offered to help me without my asking. He then proceeded to walk with me all the way to my car with a smile on his face and not a hint of feeling inconvenienced. A very professional gesture indeed! Thank you!

What stands out the most with all my visits with the kids is, its always busy but tables and seats are always dirty. A busy place should have someone wiping down surfaces. Serving and cooking the food is only part of the service. A Clean Restaurant is just as important. Also no one moniters the big kids who are in the play area.

Sunday 1st September approx 11.25am we were greeted and served by a lovely young lady with short hair. Possibly Shannon? Not 100% on her name. She was superb. That's what I would expect but haven't always got there. I'd have her training new staff or have them watching her. Fantastic service. Coffee and food was nice too.

They were really really busy inside and in the drive through. It took some time to be served. However a good Macs gourmet burgers are always nice to eat. The sundae machine wasn't working and apparently takes more than several hours to clean. Anyway we got through the car queue and enjoyed a nice meal from McDonalds.

This place has always run smoothly when we have visited. We had an issue once with our coffee and the staff were very quick to make a new one with no hesitation. We have always had great service here and love dropping in for a hot chocolate after meetings at night. It is also great they are often on double click Tuesday! Not having been to McDonald's for quite some time I downloaded their new app& went & had a bite or two & was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent & the food arrived @ my table very quickly plus it tasted good. Years ago McDonald's have a reputation of serving up food that tasted like cardboard but not any more the food I had yesterday had plenty of taste & I would gladly have had second's. 😋

Drive through counter staff are always great. It pretty much stops there. Why work in the public arena is your not customer friendly.The delivery staff at the window leave a lot to be desired. and having to park and wait for a black coffee is a joke. There was 5 of us all waiting this morning on food to be delivered. Drive through its not!.

Sometimes a sight for sore eyes on a long road trip. You know what you're getting, it's going to be reasonably priced and always happy to get some local renditions in New countries. Had a Kiwi Burger as a Traveller from Canada and it was quite the treat! Sometimes it's the little things. Service was solid and the food was as you'd expect from McDonald's. Old faithful!

We went to this maccas at dinner time so it was very busy. They must have run out of hot chips so there was a big wait for our meals... 5 stars because we recieved extra freshly cooked chips (seemingly to compensate). They were also very sorry about the wait.

My choice of venue . Always polite and helpful . Just wish they had a fuller menu in display at the drive through section but that seems a problem at all outlets. Can't expect me to try alternatives if I can't see them. Also I would like two menu boards on the drive through , you can be in a queue waiting to get to order and haven't a chance to plan your order. I would buy more if I could view the menu end route to the ordering window, as it is now I am very conscious of holding up the queue and order quickly, my usual fish burger and a small Fanta. Don't like fries or hash browns and have time to check out anything else. But otherwise Hornby outlet top notch

The staff were really helpful. I ordered two B&E Muffins in the evening.... and two hamburger paddies separately so I can make my own Sausage & Egg as they aren't in the all day best menu. The person delivering it to my table asked what I wanted done with the two patties. I said I was going to put them in my muffins. She offered to do it for me....and they did. That's the first time anyone had really thought about what's going on. I was impressed.

Service was good as there was only few ppl in. Sadly chips were cold, this has been an ongoing issue with chips especially. I know they like too keep it quick but having to go back is only ok if you eat in. Reheating isn't a gd option for any fast food. Staff member was great at sorting out my order to just what I wanted and saving me money by combo-ing it. Chrispy chicken wrap no lettuce was just that and as when I took my chips back they upsized to large I ate my wrap for tea cold. I really enjoyed it as I don't have any take aways anymore often.

Nice, clean McDonald's restaurant in the Hornby shopping mall area. Dedicated parks onsite and a drive-thru for those preferring to place their orders without going into the restaurant. Tidy and clean washroom/toilet. Friendly and helpful team of staff.

The Baristas make the best mochacino and service is fantastic. The staff who get to know you will know your order and as soon as they see you they put your order through so quickly (unless you make a sly change), brilliant, thankyou. What can I say, it is an American burger 🍔 joint. They sell Big Mac to McChicken to Fillet O Fish burgers. The taste is consistent with all other Mcdonald's restaurants in New Zealand. However, the staff here are very friendly and helpful. Free refill of drinks and it is self-service from the drink station. Carparks are limited and drive thru lane is quite hard to drive around. You have to drive around the building when you first coming in from the street and once you finish ordering, paying and picking up the takeaways, you then need to drive around the building for the second time to get to the street. There is a small indoor kiddy playground with limited seating. They accept cash, eftpos and credit card payments for those who want to know (i .e. visitors) There are self-service ordering machines or you make your order directly with the staff. This building is highly visible from the two ✌ main roads, and it is operating 24/7. Would I go back? Maybe, only to satisfy my cravings for burgers but there are other places that sell nicer and tastier than this burger joint. Would I recommend? No. 🙅 Too much processed food is unhealthy. Food ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ out of 5. Ok only, nothing spectacular. Ambience ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ out of 5. Very standard set interior deco. Very McD feelings. Price ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ out of 5. Reasonable pricing. Well it's a Mc Donald's, can't really say too much about this place! They have a lot of the "order yourself" machines where you can make your own Gourmet Burger, has a small playground area for kids, even has after hours pick up door. One of the smaller Mc Donald's stores but still has everything. Also has a fill yourself drink machine.
