Good food and service although wasn't asked preferences re dessert on a 3 course meal. Felt a tad "close" under current restrictions.

We ordered a range of dishes from the brunch menu. Beautiful plates and presentation served with a smile. The meals were large with all of the components of a high standard. Highly recommended.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. Pasta and pizza that we had was awesome. Sour dough was yummy too. The food portion is good too. Prices are reasonable for the service and food. Friendly staff. Good customer service. Really nice people. The ambience is great for groups or to go on a date. Their Menu has enough variety. Food is tasty. Has enough parking behind the restaurant. The location is good. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great place for a catchup with friends. A group of 4 went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and the place was humming. The food was great, from the eggs bene to the beef cheeks, all excellent and the service was also good. We have already booked our next outing.

Nice homey atmosphere, awesome food, decent amounts, and beautiful presentations with friendly customer service. We ordered a few Mains as well as Sides and absolutely loved them all. Highly recommend.

The level of the chef is very high, the dishes are beautiful, the steaks are cooked just right, and the waiters are great.

Good dinner with friendly and professional service. I had the daily special (fish and chips) which was good. Hubby got the cannelloni that wasn’t good. Great beers. Dessert was tiramisu and it was just “ok”.

Great location, excellent atmosphere, fantastic food, friendly and attentive staff. We had a fillet and a ribeye, cooked to our requests, served with brocolini and gratin, the plate was excellently presented and a joy to enjoy. We also had classic tiramisu for dessert, tempted by terror-misu, but glad we made the right call, the dessert portion was more than enough for us two. The only disappointment was the kitchen was slightly disorganised today and didn't serve what says on the menu. And though staff forgot our drink for a moment, and had to come back to check how we want our beef cook twice, she was very well trained with excellent etiquette so it didn't bother us.

Contemporary style pizzaria/ fine dining restaurant and bar with Art Deco interior and live herb plants on display. Staggering set of light bulbs has brought the scene back to the industrial revolution. Mixed with warm ambience and gentle mannered waiting staff. See-through kitchen allowed us to view freshly baked wood fire pizzas. Delicious meals to complement. 5 stars.

Price is a bit expensive, but that's probably expected given the location of the place. Mains were really good, they don't come with the standard chips and salad though (you have to order these separately as sides), so we found them less filling. The “terror-misu” had so much cream and quite little sponge cake, it was a bit too sweet. Customer service was pleasant.

Great little place good food at a good price. The owner is really friendly, as are all the staff I have met. Try the jalapeno poppers, because they're amazing! The rest of the food is good too, but those poppers are incredible!

It’s been a while but once again you delivered! Great service from the moment we walked in the door! Then great waiter who delivered the menu, drinks & personality! Food on point from entree - mains & delicious desert! Would love to return to try the very special delivery of the smoky desert! So many GLUTEN free options too. More than most restaurants! I always love the booths! Thank you we will be back (I also hear breakfast is worth the visit too).

Better than many. There is no much choice of Italian mains, but they are quite good. I like pizza here but, avoiding weird kiwi combinations, I always end up with the Margherita one. The pizza is good, but they should make the dough rest longer as it makes you gassy after eaten as the yeast keep fermenting in your stomach. Lastly, the kumara chips here are just amazing... I do not know how else to describe it. I have been in Dargaville, advertised as the town where you find the best kumara in NZ and they are actually average. Here, in this pub, the kumara chip are just the best!! Loved it!! Overall it's a nice place for a dinner.

Went there for my fathers retirement birthday- vintage feel w modern well appointed decor and atmosphere- Food was beautiful, great selection and with a good range of pricing to cater to a mixture of dinners. Fantastic service from the staff, who went the extra mile and gave my father a lovely treat at the end. Highly recommend.

Celebrated my birthday dinner and, as always, we were overwhelmed with how wonderful everything was. Due to all sorts of circumstances, my husband and I had not visited for quite a long time, yet we were remembered, welcomed, and my husband even offered his favourite drink. The food was AMAZING (oh the lamb - to die for!) and so was the service. We are planning to try the brunch one Sunday soon.

I don’t often leave reviews but Rogues was too good not too. Great food, lovely staff and lovely area out in the conservatory. We ordered the fish and chips and the beef check with duck fat mash for lunch today and both meals were amazing - left feeling satisfied and full. Will definitely be back :)

Have been there for lunch and breakfast. Food is perfect and beautiful interior. Has a little courtyard in the back.

We were after somewhere for a 50th celebration that had a menu for grown-ups and for kids that wasnt pizza and Rogues was perfect. Online booking was efficient and their communication really good before the night. Service was friendly and engaging. Food was excellent and quick too as we were pushed for time. Would definitely recommend. I dont usually give 5 stars but cant think of a reason to give them less. Thanks guys.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Declan is so very friendly & welcoming and has a great smile :) I had the Rogues Salad for the first time and it won't be the last! It was delicious! Love the menu options - particularlry the Gluten Free ones and also the wine list is terrific too.

Finally a Bar in Riccarton 😊 great location, great layout. Love the art. We're regulars at No4 in Merivale, Fiddlesticks in the city but finally we got our own in our Hood!!! We love coming here and that's not just because the beer tastes great. Staff are amaze-balls 🤘Keep up the food work.

Food was absolutely delicious and staff very friendly and helpful. Cater well for gluten and dairy free diets. Would have been nice to have had a salad or vegetarian option for a main; the Caesar salad shown on website wasn’t available. Having said that, everything else was great; shared platter was excellent value for money. Can’t wait to go back!

Returning home to NZ is fab but strangely the veg options in restaurants seems to have regressed since I left🤔. However Rogues provided a reasonable choice, their corn fritters and my sister salad was delicious, filling and hit the veggie button right on. They use Hummingbird coffee which is not my preference but the service was excellent...long suffering and polite of my pecadillos. Will return.

We had a fantastic night out at Sneakys Bar at Rogues. The food and drinks were fabulous (as they always are). The Rogues team were awesome and Eva did a great job keeping everyones drink full and checking on us regularly to ensure everyone was happy. Sneakys bar was a great venue for our team function - we had our own space and that allowed us to interact and mingle without disturbing other diners. Thanks Rogue team - you're awesome.

If you are after a more elegant, decadent ambience, then Rogues on Rotheram St is the place to go. Somber, soothing lighting around the bar, relaxed but very professional, well trained staff, that you can have a bit of banter with. A small boutique style bar and restaurant. You can relax in either one of the courtyards or in the more formal part of the restaurant with plush velvet booth seats. Great place to stop in for a drink at the bar after a busy day to unwind, or for a relaxing delicious meal, that is a cut above the rest (and they know how to cook a great steak perfectly!). Best GF garlic flat bread I've ever tasted. They even have my favourite French black rapsberry liqueur Chambord 🥰 Also lovely spot for an intimate, romantic dinner. Music ✅ Staff ✅ Food ✅ Decor ✅ Ambience✅ Acoustics ✅ Fun ✅

Delicious brunch! We celebrated my daughters 13th Birthday and we both chose the beef cheek on a duck potato hash, soft poached egg, slaw and smoked mayo dressing. The egg was perfect and once you cut it open the running golden yoke coasted the tasty beef cheek which was slow cooked to perfection. The potato hash was great too. I tried the signature bloody Mary medium spice. Highly recommend Rogues! Thank you!

Often walked past this place wondering what it was like. Decided to try this evening and was not disappointed. The Beef Cheeks was excellent and the Tiramisu was the best I have ever had. Totally recommend them.

Pizza was good, the crusts we're burnt to a good degree for a nice crunch and the eggplant pizza was unexpectedly rich and wholesome at the we time. Service was lovely and consistent, a little too over the top but overall a good experience

Fantastic. Canot speak highly enough of the place & the staff. Our large family group arrived unannounced last night after the terrible days events in Christchurch. We were looked after extremely well and placed at a large table to seat all 12 of us. The service was outstanding & the fresh pizzas were fantastic. 5/5. Highly recommended. 👍👍👍

Ate here on a recommendation. Glad we did. Chris loved the Grapefruit Margarita and I had a very good special beer on tap. Chris had a Caesar Salad. I had a wonderful Steak Sandwich. Very tender and tasty. Not enough room for dessert but they looked delicious. It was comfortable and quiet on a Wednesday afternoon.

Food was awesome! But the service was shocking. We were greeted with a glass of water, and then nothing for 18 minutes! The wife got upset when I went up and ordered food and drinks at the bar :-/ Food came out quickly... with one of the drinks. So then I had to remind the waitress to grab the second beverage after she had finished at another table. Still, the food was excellent, and once ordered came out quickly!

Nice decor, good service, comfortable seating, good food, good price... will definitely come back again. All four of us chose the fish and chips, all of us were very happy. Other patron's meals looked great too, will make sure to try other things next time. Only minus - running out of sausages on a Saturday...

I brought a traveling group of 16 to the Rogues for a meal in May 2019. It was in the planning stages for months and Tuesday was incredibly helpful and prompt with her communication throughout that process. When we arrived, we were brought to a private function room and the food began to arrive. The group and I were very pleased with the quality of the food and the presentation was spot-on. Some guests even asked to alter their dessert selections and our server, Jannae (I hope that spelling is correct!), was incredibly responsive to the last minute change. The establishment is very high quality and our experience couldn't have been more positive. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great night out with quality food and drink. Cheers!

Events manager is brilliant, staff are amazing - warm, helpful, unintrusive service for a recent function at Sneaky's Bar. Drinks were a highlight (house made lemon lime and bitters the best I've ever had, and the other guests were impressed with their mixed drinks). Food was ok - probably a little pricey for the actual flavor/meals, but no-one disliked their meal and everyone found it nice enough to polish off. The lamb and beef (cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare) looked nicer than the pork belly I ordered (no crackling, and missing a bit of flavour and moisture). I wouldn't order sourdough bread again (quite dry), but the tasting platter on the set menu was really beautiful though.

This place would be one of the few that get 5 stars from me. Great service, wonderful atmosphere, beautifully presented food. This cost little place, produces high quality, fresh food that surmounts many high-class restaurants yet for a reasonable price. Their main breakfast is my one of my top 5 favorites.

I love this hidden gem in Riccarton. Rogues bar is the cool spot that seems almost out of place so close to a mall. I've been here for drinks after work and brunch on a Saturday morning. Both experiences were great. Very helpful staff, tasty food and bar snacks. Brunch had some great alternatives to the classics like eggs Benedict. Will be back for sure.

It was a busy Friday night and the place was packed. We asked the server if there was any chance we could be out in an hour, as we had to catch a movie ... no problem! Delicious food, delicious drinks, great service. In and out in 45 minutes. (It's probably a great place to hang out for a couple hours if you're NOT in a rush too.)

Food was great as was the atmosphere...unfortunately they only have one payment station and group ahead of us decided to split and discuss the entire bill so took 10 + mins of standing at the bar to settle our bill.

Been here quite a few times. As someone has put it, a "hidden gem" in riccarton. Nice setting and atmosphere, perfect for summer evening but also cosy with heaters in winter. Food is delicious but the cocktails are even better. Fave place

Nice place for dinner with intimates. They have a great ambience and the staff are really helpful in checking in on you and ensuring that you have everything you need. Food is great although it is a little costlier than most places. They have an area at the back of the restaurant that I'd recommend booking for private functions.

This place is fantastic. We had pumpkin soup and lamb flatbread and it was great. Lovely ambiance on the back patio as well. My boyfriend was also pleasantly suprised that there was a gluten free option for the flatbread.

Late lunch. Chris had Caesar's Salad. I had the Steak Sandwich on a recommendation. Really good. Thin and crispy chips (fries.) Service was friendly. Very comfortable and quiet when we were there.

Let's start with the good: its a really nice place, cosy and comfortable. It looks like it is perhaps really good for a drink and a pizza. However... We were there for dinner. First course was the croquets. Ok but nothing to write home about and a bit salty. As mains we ordered the two chef specials. One was sole fish, that arrived with a very fishy aroma. While not horrible, it suffered from the overpowering flavors of the things around it and from not really being that fresh. The sirloin was to be made well done. It was not. Medium to medium well i would guess. The waitress noticed that something was wrong and returned it to the kitchen. Same steak was put back on the grill, which is just a no no. It came back still red inside but completely dry. The waitress suggested to get it back on the grill again. We politely declined. We were charged full price although it wasn't touched. So, bottom line, very disappointing dinner that should have been a pleasure.

It's all good at Rogues. Food service etc can't reasonably be criticized and it's a very pleasant environment. Far superior for example to Ottos Italian restaurant at Woollomoloo in Sydney.
