Great service! Super nice and smily staff. Thank you so much for such a great meal. We went twice because the food was super good. They offer Gluten free options and they also sell dumplings. I will definitely be back and recommend this place to everyone. The prices are so good, the meals are between 10 and 14 nzd, and each bowl includes the meat of preference, egg, rice and salad.

Me and my partner decided to try eating here for lunch and we were presented with a nice atmosphere with two or three people cooking and preparing meals. I ordered Pork, and my partner ordered a beef meal, we were extremely surprised how good these tasted, the pork meal was ready, cooked with egg, rice and pork, and lots of other healthy foods inside, even better this was Gluten Free too! The beef meal tasted pretty good also. The customer service provided was friendly and warming. We ended up going to order food the next day for lunch also, thank you.

This is how food should be. Never have I been greeted with such lovely smiles, the uplifting atmosphere of the staff shines through the food! The service is spectacular and the interior is nicely done up for those wanting to sit inside (or outside). Then there's the food. Wow. So much flavour, so well balanced, so reasonably price. Every single item is so tasty, definitely coming back!

For $11, the no. 5 chicken is amazing value. With a salad, rice, a scrambled egg and chicken on top, it is one of the healthiest food options for the price point. The dumplings, priced the same as the no. 5 chicken, are definitely not very good value in terms of the amount of food you get. I have tried some of the other meats they offer and found the quality of the cut of meat was a lot lower, although the rest of the dish (salad, rice, egg) are identical to the no. 5 chicken.

Super yummy, googled cheap eats chch and this place came up. Had bul go gi. For $13 brilliant!!

Awesome food, simple an easy menu, great value and friendly service. Will definitely be back! The only thing that I thought odd was that the tofu option cost more than the chicken or pork options 🤔 Also, the volcanic BBQ chicken really is worth the warning label!

Pork Dumplings are so juicy and tasty! Love the bulgogi bowl and lamb bowls as well. The owners are super nice and sweet too. Highly recommended!

Beef bulgogi rice bowl is a delicious meal made with Korea’s signature BBQ stir fry and hot steamed rice. The BBQ beef is coated with addictively spicy sauce and it is sure to please anyone who loves korean food. It tastes like Korean BBQ but in a bowl. We love it and would come back again!

Delicious korean dumplings, very juicy and flavourful! There were some veggie below the dumplings, a nice addition. Beef bulgogi rice bowl was very tasty too, it is slightly on the sweet side, add the separate chilli sauce to adjust the spicy level.

I love coming here- the food is delish!! But nothing tops the customer service here. The staff always make you feel welcome. Such great service!

I had the Buldak Spicy, food was real cheap and tasty but the cabbage and sauce were cold for me which made the whole meal cool down fast. For a spicy meal it wasn't spicy. The people working there were friendly.

It's one of my favourite spots in the city. Their food is amazing, it is always fresh and tasty. The staff is kind and friendly. It's always my first option when I am in CBD. They have the best KFC in Christchurch. The chicken is crispy and juicy.

Staff was nice, food was delicious, atmosphere was good. The bowls come with rice, slaw (veggies), meat of your choosing (I got the bulgogi), sauces, and egg. I would recommend coming here for a delightful lunch. The staff was really nice and the place was modern and clean. I would give 4.4 stars :)

I had the Bul go gi Bowl with Korean chilli sauce, which was amazing. The owners were super nice as well and were so happy that my friends and I liked their food. Can definitely recommend going there for lunch!

This place is so good. The price is what you'll pay for Mall food, but the quality is so much higher. It's a tiny little spot for a restaurant, but makes good use for seating, and it's in an area where you're free to get outside. The food was subjectively amazing, and no questions in it's objective quality. I hope this place has a good future in Christchurch

Great place, friendly staff and most importantly great food. A good mix of western flavour with original Korean food make this place approachable even for those who can't take spicy and stimulating food. The store mainly sells cupbop which is pretty much rice with stir fried vegetables and your choice of meat on top. This finished off with the level of spice you want on your cupbop with their special sauce make this great a good eat with plenty of parking spaces nearby. Would recommend everyone to try it out and try something different!

The food is excellent and portions are perfect for lunch. We got it for lunch at work and everyone tried something different and everyone agreed theirs was amazing and we will definitely go back again. The prices are perfect for a lunch meal, the shop is tidy, and the gentleman who served me was absolutely lovely!! So cheerful and seemed genuinely happy to serve us :D 5 stars in all aspects!

A delightful little restaurant which serves little boxes of asian food for cheap. The atmosphere is excellent, with cute posters and designs on the walls, the proprietors were friendly, and the utensils and packaging was biodegradable. The food was healthy and delicious, with spice to taste, and the shopping center had well maintained bathrooms. Go here if you get a chance.

Just had the Bulgogi cup. As good as my ex mother in law used to make. My partner had the KFC burger (Korean Fried Chicken). He thought it was REALLY tasty. Beautiful food!!

I love their cupbop, it's just the best - the mixture of rice, meat, sauce and egg is spot on and the best I've found in Christchurch, its a favourite of mine! :-D

Small homely Korean Cupbop place run by a lovely Korean husband and wife. For those that don't know, Cupbop is similar to those Asian Noodle Boxes. It's pretty much rice, coleslaw, scrambled egg top with your choice of meat and sauce. I ordered the beef bulgogi option which turned out quite good. The amount of each ingredient was well balanced and it was not overly saucy/salty. Definitely somewhere I would be happy to come back to again!

I always order the same thing when I come here - the Korean Style Beef BBQ - because it tastes so darn good. There's a good seating area for customers and they provide a free jug of water, with a hint of lemon.

Had lunch here and my god was it delicious. Good size portion of bul go gi. Sooooo good. Will be back, would recommend.

Quite possibly one of the best food places in the city. Studied nearby for a few years and went there all the time. Staff are super friendly, minimal wait for food, and the food is amazing!

Steampunk Lab is awesome! Best spicy pork plus you get to add sauce with varying degrees of heat. I go Korean sauce which is 3/4 heat. One word - yummo!!!!!

Best place to have a good value Korean feed. Serving sizes are nice. The owners see value in good customer service with good food for reasonable prices.

I love coming here. Me and my boyfriend love getting the meals and splitting the dumplings. The food always has a bit a of spice to it too.
