C.Great little place that does a seasonal menu that changes daily. They were very accommodating last minute and the waiter was great. We had amazing meal - flavour that slapped the tastebuds. Would come back!

F.Such a nice meal! We were walking on the street when we saw this little restaurant with some fancy cookbooks on the front window and we decided to give it a try.
3 course set menu only, my kind of offering where I don't need to stress over what to chose out of an extensive menu.
Starter was a miso glazed eggplant with a pickled onion, cashew and mint salad. Delightful.
Main was lamb rump with courgette, potato and pesto. So tasty!
Dessert was a slightly savoury chocolate mousse, rhubarb granite and cardamon cream. Very playful.
Will definitely be back on my next trip to Christchurch.

Perfect for couples as it has a very cosy and intimate ambience.
Sometimes, a restaurant is perfect for the food and/or the person you are sharing dinner with. In this case, it was also because of our host, from India. Not just a great service but also we could share our Stories. If each dish comes with its story, people also do :-). Thank you for a great evening.
N.Epic restaurant! The food hère is exceptional, exciting and unexpected. The Chef Shafeeque is friendly and when we ordered the same dish again (because it was so good), he whipped up for us a variant of the same dish which was better than the original.
Amazing food and service.
E.So good! Easily the best brunch we have had in Christchurch so far. The Challah French Toast in particular was exceptional. A large, beautifully presented plate of food piled high with caramel, nuts and mascarpone. The Hummus and Pita was delicious too, the falafel was tasty and crispy on the outside. The baklava was a perfect treat to take away and demolish while exploring the rest of the city. Good coffee and friendly, excellent service. We will definitely be back.

L.Delicious food! Not a huge range of vegetarian options and the meals are small for the price charged, however the meals are fantastic! Tried 4 entrees and main was the short rib which was very good. Also tried both desserts and would highly recommend both the chocolate tart and feijoa mousse
R.Best hidden gem of Chch. The restaurant doesn’t look appealing from the outside, but man they have amazing food! Every dish is a surprise, with South Asia fusion.
Serving size is smaller than the average restaurant sizes, but guarantee satisfaction.

G.We came. We saw. We dined and left completely satisfied. Five of us chose the five entrees and shared. The Thar (special) was special but the sweetbreads were to die for. Five entrees followed by three deserts, also shared, were almost more than we needed. Don’t faff around get in and delight in the flavours. The photos are in progress. None of those fancy before photos.
C.Absolutely cracking meal had at Story, the boys in the kitchen were pumping out some of the most delicious food I’ve eaten in NZ. Yam starter and feijoa dessert were phenomenal. Especially the feijoa dessert, please put this dish back on the menu next autumn!!
Set menu for entree/dessert and a choice of two options for mains. Succinct but high quality drinks list. Would give this place more stars if I could!
S.I am a traveller and a foodie .On my trip to Christchurch ,New Zealand, I saw this good vibe restraunt and thought of giving it a try...What an experience..Tried a few things but My favourite was Feijoa mousse with ginger beer gel and yogurt white chocolate ganache .The first bite was like heaven on earth...Memorable .Highly recommend it !The food was Awesome !Staff was super Awesome ! Beautiful presentation!👍👍👍

P.Story is our favourite restaurants in Christchurch, so it was an obvious choice to have our wedding dinner there. The food, service and drinks were to the usual high standard we have come to expect here, but somehow they managed to lift it all to a new level for us on our special day.
The food was delicious and arrived in timely fashion and there was plenty for all. We had around 26 people all enjoying the food at the same time, which was awesome.
We were able to meet with the chef to help design the menu, then had a wine tasting as well to pick the wines to complement the food. They were all around very easy to deal with and very generous.
I tell lots of people I meet that they should dine at Story if they can. I cannot recommend it highly enough for a romantic dinner for two, a meal out with friends, or even a larger celebration like we did.

L.Had a fantastic meal here last Saturday. Although the menu only has a few options, the flavour combinations were interesting and sumptuous to eat. I can recommend the eggplant and corn rib entrees especially, though my main of. Lamb was not far behind. Best meal I've had in Christchurch for a few years. Service was great too.
I went there again more recently. Sad to say that although the food was great, service was not this time and it detracted from our enjoyment of the meal. Service was generally slow with our meal taking almost 2 hours and my main came out 8 minutes after the other 3 diners at my table. Fortunately I told my dining companions to start with out me or their food would have been cold. No excuse or apology was given which I was shocked by. We quizzed the wait staff when paying our bill and again no apology was forthcoming about the slow service.
S.Definitely one of the absolute best meals I have had in Christchurch. Such beautiful attention to detail, thoughtfulness and respectful service. I wish you full bookings as you deserve it. Can't wait to come back.
m.Wonderful night - food was outstanding - interesting and delicious. We thought $65 for the set menu was good value considering the quality. Amazing team on duty - service was excellent and the chefs doing an impressive job in a tiny kitchen. The environment wasn’t as good as the food though - ate upstairs and it was way too loud on a sat night, and the flashing lights from outside were a bit distracting.
L.Story is so special! Shafeeq is an amazing chef and their FOH is so kind. The service was awesome, the food was delicious, and the wine was mean too! We sat upstairs and the team moved us to the window table once it was cleared without us even asking which was so nice! The set menu was so good and made the experience really easy and relaxing. The happy hour rotis are also tasty as. Story rocks 🙌
D.Amazing lunch time bagels. Maple, Salmon and Cream Cheese with dill was incredible. Lots of delicious combinations bacon, avocado - sensational. These folks are very good chefs and know flavour, presentation and service. For delicious dinner or lunch - a real experience AAA+

E.Last night was our first time dining here. Didnt bring much expectation but was really blown away by how good the food was! We had the king salmon and the beef short ribs. They were amazing and cooked to perfection! The chef is really good with his spices :) will definitely be returning!

N.AMAZING food, great service and delicious wine! Started with the crispy cauliflower, then the fish of the day (pan fried groper in a creamy spiced coconut sauce, potatoes and pickled veg) and finished with the salted chocolate tart. Will be planning a return visit very soon.

M.Beautiful food on Valentines Day. Excellent service however seated at 8pm. Bites from menu arrived within 20 min. Mains a little slow arriving at 925pm. Still worth the wait with impeccable detail and venison was stunning with complex flavours. A real delight.

L.Decided to have something to eat here when walking past and we were glad we did. Had a lovely meal of venison with beetroot and curry butter. Really enjoyed the flavours which you wouldn't usually get with a venison dish. The desserts were also amazing.

D.I had the pleasure of eating here - ok, three times - while I was on R&R in Christchurch. For a new restaurant, they made the smart move of keeping the menu and drinks list very concise. Like they say, it's easier to start small then grow versus starting big then cutting back.

適当にぶらぶらしながら見つけたお店でしたが、とても手が込んでておいしかったです。
なす田楽もありました（アレンジバージョンですが）
特に日本料理を勉強したわけではないそうですが、
そのへんの和食屋さんよりよっぽどおいしい田楽でした。
ラムもおいしかったです。
