It was quite a good experience with Tuktuk Thai. We went there without any reservation and got a nice place to dine in. The menu covers a good range of dishes. We ordered deep fried squid, spicy lemongrass beef, pad thai with prawns and steamed rice. We enjoyed all of them and I loved the beef specially. Convenient location, heaps of parking, neat and tidy, nice staffs and ambience. Recommended!

First time at this restaurant. Absolutely awesome food and every mouthful popped with different flavours. The service was amazing. I dropped my napkin on the floor and another one was rushed over to me. Support this business at Bush Inn. You won't be sorry. 👏 UPDATE FROM 3 WEEKS AGO. I have phone ordered a takeaway, weekly since dinning in and it is ready when I arrive. Such awesome customer service, always with a smile. Their food is so fresh and yummy. 😀

One of the best Thai restaurant in Christchurch City. Best food.. Best restaurant... Best location. We ordered Thai chicken green curry and Satay Sauce Chicken. It was really delicious food. Different flavour and taste. I really liked that. Service was good. Interior was great. Its middle range restaurant (15 to 25 NZD per dish) but worth it.

I have yet to try the wonderful lineup of Thai Street food, but I have tried the various options on the Smoke Shack menu. I'm a massive fan of burgers, and I can say with absolute confidence that the Pork Belly Burger is possibly the best tasting burger I have ever had, and I don't say that lightly. The pork is cooked to perfection and is so unbelievably tender that it practically melts in the mouth. If you're looking for a new restaurant to eat at with friends, don't sleep on this one!

This restaurant is co joined with the Smoke Shack so I opted to utilise the Tuk Tuk’s menu. It is Thai street and BBQ food. I had the satay chicken with rice and vegetables. Absolutely delicious - it came out hot and thick with the satay. Loads of chicken and vegetables. Rice was perfectly cooked. I would definitely go back there again. The service at TukTuk was fantastic!! Very friendly and smiling all the time.

We had a work team lunch here. Prices are a fair bit more than other Thai restaurants. The portions were mostly fairly reasonable and the restaurant is pleasant to be in. Staff were friendly although not willing to accommodate some requests such as making a meal with chicken instead of beef. A few people found the food too spicy and difficult to enjoy. Not a bad experience by any means but probably won't rush back either.

Delicious food, good quality and cozy ambiance. Excellent service! Definitely value for money. We tried the Thai street BBQ pork skewers, chicken lemongrass pad Thai and apple crumble. Dessert was not great. But the starter and mains were superb! Would have been a regular customer to them if they were in Auckland 😀

Went out with friends for a good meal in a long time. The food was great and the ambience was very good too.. Very helpful staff.. If you are not sure what to order do ask them they will let you know how much spicy the dish is going to be.. We had a good time here, definitely recommended.. Pineapple fried rice with pork was a great surprise and would recommend to try.. Thai green curry is good but I didn't like the lemongrass in it.. But hey it's my choice and preference.

Great food, pleasant decor and friendly staff. We just happened to be passing and are well glad to find it. Our food was ready I'm about 5 minutes which surprised us. The sharing platter with satay chicken, rice balls, crispy wantons and Currys puffs with a sweet chilli dip was great for 2 people. It might be a stretch sharing with 3 people tho. Chicken pad Thai was soo tasty and loads of peanuts. Will definitely be back here.

Staff are great..our waitress was amazing and made us feel welcome as well as the young guy at the front counter who gave us a huge smile and welcomed us. Food was amazing...we ordered Red beef curry...satay chicken and fried pork with wontons...and rice. Food was amazing and we had to make an effort to eat it all.I have two sons who are huge eaters and they couldnt eat it all...its amazing if that happens lol. All up cost was 100 bucks...that's including drinks and is reasonably priced in my books..awesome restaurant and have no hesitancy in recommending to all

Literally the best Thai food I have ever had in my life. I would recommend this over any other restaurant. Need to make booking coz its always busy. Their service and waiters are literally the best. They explain you the whole menu and I would say I have had the best experience of Thai in this restaurant. The dishes are super delicious especially the Pad Thai Noodles and all the other dishes are also good. Their pork is amazing!!! They also have a bar and tap beers available.

But over the last year we have found although the food is good, it is too expensive for what we get. Sorry Tuk Tuk but other restaurants also have great food....for a lot less than $50 for 2 people avg.

Had a really nice lunch here with a medium sized group. Menu is a bit smaller than I am used to from a thai restaurant but that's not necessarily a bad thing, usually there is too much to choose from. We got an assortment of dishes to share between us and they were all delicious. Food came out quite quickly and the portion sizes were good.

This place is awesome. I went there for a friends engagement dinner and ordered the Pad Thai (I'm a sucker for it). It's the best restaurant bought Pad Thai I've had in ages and it's my default order at new restaurants. It came beautifully presented moulded to cylindrical shape with a perfectly fitted egg net encasing the whole thing. I didn't even have to ask for lemon! Well and truly worth the slightly above average pricing.

Portions have been made bigger and the food is really tasty but a lot of the meals just say they have meat in them and when i asked if they come with other things i was told that they didnt really and that the one i was ordering a char grilled beef one was just going to have a very small side salad with sauce. So, my meal was beef pieces with no flavor, luckily the sauce had a lot of flavor and it had a very simple very small side salad (lettuce with one piece of cucumber and the tiniest bits of cabbage) with that sauce for 19$. That meal is not worth it. This restaurant needs more rounded meals.

The food is usually pretty fantastic, fresh and zingy flavours, the last time I was here though the wait was so long at lunch time, with hardly any customers in restaurant and the chicken was chewy. So not great. The service was bordering on shocking... the main guy there a tall young guy is friendly but everyone else is terrible! Swearing in front of us slapping things down trying to talk about their own lives to my friend and I, it was just innapropriate and unprofessional. If the food wasn't so good (most of the time) I'd not go back because of the service so props to the chefs there.

Overall this is a nice place to eat. The food was amazing, the staff were good. However I do think they had a bit of a bad day today. Haven’t been here enough times to know how they operate normally but today’s experience has put me off suggesting to go back willingly. The wait times today were horribly long. It took half an hour for the starters to arrive and another half an hour for the mains after. Even the waitstaff knew we had been waiting for a long time. We were on the verge of considering canceling our orders and going somewhere else. When the starters did arrive, the wrong quantity were given. We were given 2 skewers instead of the 3 we had ordered to share, we ordered 3 on the suggestion by the waitress too and I saw her writing it down and then repeating our orders back to us. We also ordered desserts to share at the end. Unfortunately the waiter didn’t ask if we had finished with them or not and just proceeded to clear our table. We didn’t even have time to react as he already threw the serviettes onto our plate. No, it wasn’t closing time and no, there were plenty of empty tables, so we definitely didn’t overstay our welcome. When the bill came, the skewers we ordered came back to haunt us. We were charged for two full plates instead of the 3 skewers we ordered. Lastly, we were seated at a table by one of the side doors. On a day with nice weather it wouldn’t have been a problem, but today was raining and cold so cold air kept flooding our tables each time the doors were opened. I would’ve given more stars but tonight wasn’t a perfect experience. As a manager in retail I have a few pointers to give: - If you know the wait time will be long, especially due to circumstances like an influx of customers or unexpected happenings, you must communicate this to the customers! Having them wait without an explanation is poor service! - If a mistake was already made on the order, make a point to double check everything to make the rest of the meal go smoothly and check the bill is calculated correctly. - Assign a couple of tables to each waitstaff. It is hard for them to keep track of all the customers coming and going if they are waiting on the entire restaurant. If the same table has been served by all of your waitstaff and they are doubling up on the same questions you are not running your restaurant efficiently and effectively. - Train waitstaff to know that they have to constantly keep an eye on their respective tables, be able to read cues from the customers, keep track of how long each table has been waiting and proactively go check the kitchen for the orders, and make it second nature to ask if the customers have finished before clearing the table. Clear transparent communication goes a long way. - As a manager, if you are aware a couple of things has messed up for a table, a personal appearance to make an apology can solve a lot of problems. Going the extra mile to waive a small charge such as a starter or a dessert, or even a drink on the house or a voucher for next time will keep customers happy and less likely to make a complaint. It shows you are aware of your own faults and are transparent with them too. - During poor weather conditions, consider blocking off certain entrances and redirecting customers to the entrances that provides more shelter from the elements so exisiting customers are not affected. This is certainly not a bad establishment, improvements can be made to make it a great one. Hopefully you will consider the points I have made to make every future customer have an enjoyable experience. Your food deserves to be savoured and not soured by silly mistakes. Best of luck.

The food was ok but considering the price that they charge for it I would consider it to be below the mark. You would pay the same prices in other restaurants in Chirstchurch but receive far better food and far better service. On that basis I would recommend that people consider other options.
