Always love this place. Amazing food and wonderful setting - I wish the Bannockburn Hotel was closer to home.
We came in for some late lunch snacks after a wine tasting on Felton Road and ordered the fish tacos and the halloumi special. Both were so delicious and we wish we could have stayed to have more food.
I had a couple of half glasses of rose and it is such a great idea that they let you do this. Also having a Emerson’s Bookbinder session ale on the menu was great for my husband who was driving. Restaurants need to offer more quality low alcohol craft beers.

Oh what joy! This marvelous establishment was just over the road from our Airbnb accomm, so we visited three times in two days. The tapas-style food is phenomenal and the wine list is vast. Across the 11 dishes we tried, my favourite was goat cheese croquettes with honey and balsamic. Bliss!! What's more, Anna and her front of house team are witty, friendly and quick on their feet. If I could give six stars, I would.

Been here several times for lunch over last 5 years. It has always been good but the last lunch meal was outstanding. Just good value small dishes and the best wine selection by the glass. Remember to book in advance as they can fill up even mid week in winter

Myself and my wife done a 8 day trip around the south island directly after Christmas and booked into the Bannockburn Hotel - Wine Country Restaurant & Bar for dinner at around 6pm. Firstly having a wine from one of the most comprehensive wine lists i've seen. Fantastic views and outstanding service especially the older gentleman who was very professional, polite and knowledgeable (Even recommending a local Cafe in old Bannockburn to grab a coffee and cinnamon swirl the following day at Armanos).
The service and dinner we had was outstanding. We will be back for sure and also recommend to friends and family in the future.

Absolutely love this place! We’ve had some great visits to the Bannockburn Hotel over the years, and today’s lunch was equally enjoyable as our past experiences there with fantastic food, excellent service and an amazing wine list. All our food was outstanding, and the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend you try the croquetas, lamb ribs, fish tacos and truffle fries - all were delicious (and try and save some room if you can for dessert too).

Visited Bannockburn Hotel for lunch they were busy and advised us on arrival that we would have to wait approximately an hour for lunch service. I asked if we could still sit in the garden and drink and they were happy for us to do so excellent.
The service, staff and food were exceptional and we loved the up front attitude will certainly return 😀 👌
We did go to Mount Difficultly first and the had very few guests and the staff were not very welcoming and borderline rude ....so we left and will not return

What a fantastic Tapas meal shared with our daughter, son in law and grandchildren. We shared delicious beef, lamb, pork, meatballs and excellent chips. The puddings were also top quality. Thanks so much

A primo spot to stop for lunch. Fantastic views, friendly welcome and excellent service. Great menu options - tapas to share or individual meal options. Extensive wine list. We both had the steak sandwich with shoestring fries. Yum yum - I'd have to say the best I've had.

We were lucky to get in at the last minute and thank goodness. Impeccable attentive customer service, delicious food and an amazing extensive wine list. Definitely book this place when you are in Central Otago.

Make sure you book a Table as none available in arrival. Super friendly staff.
