Absolutely love here! Delicious, consistent, quality food at a good price, and vegan friendly, yay! Happy, friendly owners that run the place and they make a yummy hummus, authentic tasting!.. also one of few places that do a 100% gluten free hot chips which is a big bonus for me 😊 definitely recommend..

Under new ownership. The new owners are the most genuine and lovely people you would ever meet. They greet you as a friend. Not only that, they serving some great flavours in their food. They're absolutely amazing. Great food. Great people.

My partner and I both had Iskender meals. Lamb was very tender. Falafel was delicious. Generous and tasty. Run by lovely friendly couple. Recommended.

Really nice kebab with friendly staff. We asked for more dressing on the side and the woman who worked there gave us a cup beside directly. We also wanted to share a kebab and she split it for us without us even asking. Recommend this place! The kebab was good, fresh meat and vegetables. The only minus was that we wishes even more dressing (even though we got it beside later but would be even better with it mixed inside from the beginning).

One of my most favourite restaurants in Dunedin! The falafels here are the best I have ever eaten! I never used to eat them before this restaurant, that is how great they are! Prices are affordable and the people who worked at it are very lovely with big bright smiles on their faces! :)

The falafel itself tasted fresh and pleasantly crispy. Overall the falafel kebab is not as flavoursome as it used to be under the old owners. There's room for improvement, can't quite put my finger on what's changed. Still, pretty good for the price.

absolutely loved my lamb kebab with their signature sauce at Nesli. good size, wonderful flavours and freshly prepared. reasonably priced, I believe a rolled lamb kebab was $12.50 and a small pita bread kebab was $10.- great for eating in (they have a little sitting area) as well as a take away window. there's free 30min street-parking in front of the restaurant.

My personal favorite. If you want quality tasty food and not in mood to go for a expensive restaurant, you should check out this restaurant. Taste, quantity and price all reasonable, and the cooks/owners are absolutely friendly to adjust the spice if you want.

Always tasty and generous size. If you don't like cheese in your wrap make sure you ask for it to be left out. Why do Turkish places start doing this? Recommend for food, but Please stop smoking out back, it's stinky and gross!

As a newbie to Dunedin, I was recommended this place from a fellow Aucklander who also studied at the University of Otago to check out this place saying "I wouldn't regret it"- now when someone makes a claim like that- being a person who is obsessed with food, I had to check it out. I actually realised that I'd be too lazy to cook on a Friday night so I headed to Cafe Nesli Turkish Kebab and ordered a Chicken Iskender Combo- now unfortunately I didn't realise that the combo didn't come with a drink and fries as I had assumed but that was okay. Size wise of the combo was basically a big rice dish in the takeaway containers for the price of $15. I still would have liked to have fries and a drink with the dish, however by the time I actually finished eating the Chicken Iskender I was so full I couldn't move! TASTE: Coming from someone who tries nearly every Turkish kebab place in every city I go (which is a few)- This place DESERVES a 5/5 rating! The food was AMAZING, the customer service was SO LOVELY and I found myself checking the pennies in the bank to see when I could come back! Hope this helps!- Now gotta thank my friend who recommended the place and recommend it to other people including my colleagues in Medschool who aren't from around here too!

My friend and I got the mixed grill (ALOT OF MEAT), pita and zucchini kebab and it was delicious !! Owners are cheerful and super friendly. Definitely coming back again!!
