A.My partner and I were treated to a vegan 3 course (plus platters and sides) meal for a family birthday. Everyone including us had a wonderful time, cosied up in the beautifully ornate and warm dining room, with a great drinks selection (shout out to the Peach Bomb cider) and fabulous service - all at a great price. Would recommend Copper to anyone, and would just recommend phoning ahead for vegans so that they know and can prepare .
E.I decided to have a late lunch here with a friend. I got the eggs with spinach and bacon which was amazing! Hats off the the bread especially.
The service staff was so kind and lovely. I love the vintage style and recycled dinnerware!

A.We were initially disappointed by the limited lunch menu over Christmas but the lamb sausage roll and the French toast ( with maple syrup, strawberries and bacon) were well prepared and presented. Looking fwd to dinner there.

F.Been interested in this place for a while, and finally got around to trying it. Cozy atmosphere with a great amount of sunlight, food was good. Ordered some coffee along with corn fritters with salmon and scrambled eggs with bacon on toast, and the eggs were done perfectly. Definitely want to come back here to try their dinner menu

M.It must be difficult being a cafe directly across the road from No 7 Balmac, possibly the best local restaurant in New Zealand. Tonight, however, they made us happy that No 7 was fully booked.
I've visited Copper a couple of times in the past, but was really, really impressed this evening. The food was outstanding, and the service was exemplary. I have an autistic 4 year old, who is not always easy, however, they managed to make our visit pleasant for us, while also giving him some special attention.
The food is slightly more sophisticated than a good home meal, but not to the point of being pretentious or inaccessible. Everything was well seasoned, and the details were looked after well.
We had a great evening, and I am happy to recommend them.
f.Kelly, the night manager at Copper, was wonderful. He epitomizes what ' great service and friendliness ' is in the industry. He immediately saw we had a granddaughter with us and made her experience special by custom making her a plater meal. We both ordered pan fried fish on a salsa 😋can not find words for how to describe the deliciousness 😋 Full, satisfying and definitely returning to Copper. Make sure you look at eating here on a Thursday ~Friday or Saturday evening, so worthy 💥

R.Very nice contemporary cafe. The coffee was good and the cabinet food reasonably priced. The menu food looked spectacular but fairly expensive. The staff were really friendly, it's definitely worth a visit for a quick coffee and a bite to eat. In a nice area of Dunedin as well.

b.Great and skilled brewed coffee and service. Mid sized but very comfortable with a great atmosphere. The food it great and they have been known to host the occasional pop up restaurant. Great while waiting for the school pickups or afternoon tea with the kiddies.
M.Nice place friendly and polite staff. Has a couple of outdoor tables out the back which you wont spot unless you ask. I had a scone and a coffee. Both were good. The cafe is also environmentally aware, arranging for all potentially compostable material to head that way, or at least plans are in discussions. I'm not going to say it the most fantastic place in the universe the indoor acoustics are terrible, hence the outdoor table appreciated. Being in the centre of a well to do area it's full of coffee groups mums during the Sunday I was there.
H.Hi My Daughter and I had breakfast this morning at your cafe.We both had French Toast which was delicious. Also the waitress who looked after us was so friendly. Really enjoyed the Breakfast and excellant service.
M.have been going there regularly for some time, there coffee is always fresh and served at a great temperature. the cheese rolls and are massive and the baking i have tried is great, there all day breakfast is very fancy compared to what i am used to, it was delicious. great place to go friendly staff and a good ambiance.

M.Best coffee in Dunedin! The baristas here are all wonderful, and we've never had a dud coffee. Highly recommended. The staff are so friendly, the house-baked goods are delicious, and the ambience is great.

Both times were exceptional. The food always goes beyond expectations and although items were nominally the same on the menu, they incorporated seasonal produce as available. I also like that the atmosphere is relaxed and there is nothing pretentious.
Currently my favourite restaurant in Dunedin.

M.The ladies and I had our Christmas lunch here. There was a dozen of us so we were pretty organised when we ordered so that they could prepare the food for us. The quality of the food was good and so was the coffee. It is priced just right. The place is a bit small.
K.It has the perfect setting service and menu for an informal evening meal, good wine selection, inexpensive high quality, great value. Loved it.
M.Food and service very good but no vegetarian option (staff suggested we should have phoned ahead that a vegetarian option would be required! ) and no vegetables served with mains. If you are into well presented meat, this is a great place. The food was beautifully presented and flavoursome. Women in the party suggested the room was not warm enough.
c.Awesome staff. They will go out of their way to spark conversation and will learn your name and order all while wearing a smile. Wifi is available and they have a sunny back patio. The prices are fair and food is delicious. If you want to feel immediately like you've been a patron for years, here is the spot for you.

C.I’ve only been in once and never went back. We walked in, stood at the counter and were flat out ignored by every staff member for a solid 5 minutes or more so we turned and left. Maybe it would have been different if I’d been driving a brand new Audi and was dressed in a Gucci suit?

D.Last Saturday we held a wake at Copper for our mother.
The atmosphere is lovely with all the beautiful china & furniture which was very fitting and from Mum's era.
Kelly was a pleasure to deal with from the first contact and the food was not only delicious but the quantity and the type of food, was just what we wanted and the coffee was great too!
So a big thank you to Kelly and his team. We'd definitely recommend Copper to everyone.
