J.Was our turn to choose a restaurant for our dinner group so decided on The Strong Room - Mel booked us in & said the Vault downstairs would be ideal for the 10 of us. All our friends live in Palmy & most hadn’t been before. The Vault was perfect - seated at a long table we could each other talk, the service was impeccable as was the beautiful food. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they ordered & the portions were such that we were able to enjoy 3 courses. Thank you to our waitress and the Chef for making our last dinner for the year a memorable one!
s.The meal was absolutely beautiful and will definately go again. Fantastic service. Disappointing people coming in without masks walking around people to go to toilet without them. A group of 6, couldnt imagine they were all excempt.
T.An after graduation dinner for 5. We arrived early and were seated straight away. The service was friendly and quick, but not too quick that you felt they were trying to get rid of you. My lamb cutlets were melt in the mouth tasty. Not huge meals but enough for us. Dessert was yummy.

After a busy day the Strong room was a perfect place to catch up with a friend over a fantastic meal.
Good was cooked beautifully and left us wanting for nothing.

B.Absolutely blown away by the service from one particular lady. First thing I noticed was how welcoming and nice she was. Also her big smile even through a mask. She would remember our whole tables order without writing anything down. She nailed the whole service and I would recommend coming here purely because of her! 10/10 :)

A.A lovely dinner here. Good atmosphere, loud but not too loud. Casual/smart. Lots of choice of food. We chose smaller sharing plates. All tasty. Service was attentive if a little serious. Would return again... and would recommend. Would love to see staff smile and have some fun in their roles too.

M.I have been to The Strong Room several times now, my last visit was on the 2/2/2021 when I had the Eye Fillet with a Blue cheese sauce. The meat was cooked perfectly to my request [medium rare] and was beautifully tender and flavoursome. The sauce was very well made and complimented rather than overwhelmed the dish. The combination of vegetables was crisp and very enjoyable and the meal arrived piping hot.
They have a good wine menu, and the Chapel Hill Cab Sav I had was great.
The staff were excellent, engaging and attentive. I really enjoyed my meal, congrats to the team and of course, based on my experiences, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
R.I have eaten at the strong room before and the food is excellent. This time around it was a private function, in the room upstairs.
Room was a good size, but very hot and stuffy at times.

T.I have visited the strong room several times. We have had a dinner meeting here and they were kind enough to situate us in a uqiet corner. The food is yummy, particularly the entrees as they are great as tapas plates. They also have a great room for larger groups/gatherings.
B.Great place to eat. Nice food which is pretty normally priced (for a nice restaurant). Really nice atmosphere and aesthetic with friendly wait staff. The main burger is the business, be warned however it is massive so bloody hard to eat as a burger

S.Was here early November for a private function - nice place, nice food, good staff. Came back with family on Thursday, just before 3pm, hoping to grab a bite. The sign was out, tables and stools were set up outside, tables inside were set with plates, etc., lights were on, but.. the door was locked. We knocked a couple times, but no staff or even guests to be seen. Called their phone and voicemail said they were open til late. Still no-one to be seen. Not sure what was going on there, so we left rather disgruntled, as this was the third place we wanted to try and found closed.

Beef burger, fish and chips and definitely try the Scotch fillet!!
You can sit for hours with friends and family and not feel like an inconvenience :)
T.Food good service great. We had to pay first as we were sitting outside. I understand someone had done a runner in the past however I believe the staff should be allowed to use their descretion. Not treat us all like we won't pay.
