One of the few restaurants I’d gladly visit days in a row. The food incredible, and the service, par excellence. After 3 years stuck overseas, dining here again, yet only 2 nights in a row, was an absolute delight. Wish I was in Hamilton a day longer and Michelin visited New Zealand.

My favourite restaurant. The staff are warm and well served. The dishes are beautiful and delicious. Riverside restaurant. It's a good choice to take the riverside trail after dinner. Coffee dessert is also very good.

Came here first time to try. From the outside you dont really see signs anywhere on the ANZ building that this place is here. Anyway we got here and was given an hour to eat since we had no booking which was plenty of time. Staff service was attentive and serving of food was quick. We had the crispy cauliflower, chicken kungpow and the market fish tapas. The cauliflower was excellent, fried nicely and pairs very well with the creamy dip sauce they have and the tumeric, also because its fried, it is actually quite filling. The kung pow chicken was definitely a bit of asian fusion mix here. I do prefer the original Kungpow chicken but this one wasn't bad. A lot of flavours so I wish they actually served with some rice as this dish normally pairs with that. The market fish was fried snapper. You get 4 medium pieces of snapper fillet which was cooked very nicely and goes well with the not so overpowering sauce. Only thing about this dish is $39 for 4 average pieces of fish which is quite expensive. However the other 2 dishes was more value and we were quite full at the end due to most of the dishes here are quite strong on flavour. Overall a solid 4.5/5

Lovely waitress, lovely food, they even fitted is in a little bit earlier than our booking. Food was delivered quicker than expected, which was great.kung pao chicken was so beautiful, I was blown away as I was not sure about the pickled veggies, but was my favourite! Lovely arancini, and cauliflower was crisp and delicious. Was abit skeptical, bit will definitely go back.

Had lunch at Gothernburg between our trip from Rotorua and Auckland. It was a pleasent surprise at the quality of the food. The most memorable dishes were Kang Pow chicken and deep fried cauliflower. Staff were very friendly too.

Amazing food quality and the outdoor dining area surrounded by nature and bid old trees. But dishes are a little too expensive or foods too small for the price.

Big difference between the indoor and outdoor styles, the former is more commercial like gathering, and from the latter, you will enjoy the sunshine and the river views. The meals are delicious, highly recommend the crayfish rolls. Place is a bit hard to find out

We ordered a takeaway (the plan was to dine in but Level 3 restrictions didn’t allow that). Ordering was easy over the phone. We were given a specific time and the food was ready to collect on the dot. We ordered 2 tapas and 2 mains for 2 people. In hindsight we should have ordered a little extra cause the food was very very good. I was worried that ordering takeaway fine dining might not be as good but it definitely did not disappoint. Well worth it EVEN during lockdown. Photos of the 2 mains - Sirloin steak and Lamb ribs.

A beautiful place to eat, by far the best in Hamilton. The ambience is relaxed with great views of the river. The food is consistently good (I eat here regularly). The menu is well thought out with something for everyone. We never miss having dessert as well! The staff are friendly and efficient, always there when needed but not in your face. I will definitely be back yet again!

Visited this restaurant for the first time and had lunch. The food we ordered tasted exceptionally good but the dumplings were not it. They tasted very dry and chewy this is because its pulled pork inside which is unusual to what you would usually expect in dumplings. Overall the customer service was great and the lady serving us was very welcoming.

Had lunch with few colleagues out there. A must visit place if you are in Hamilton. The staff members were welcoming and friendly and they offered us the best seat with the river view. The menu offering was decent and fairly priced. Would highly recommend this place if you want some me time or a good catch up with friends or family get togethers. Worth visiting ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Consistently excellent and I would say one of the top 5 restaurants in Hamilton. My go to for taking a special someone for a special occasion. Recommend you BOOK! It's almost always busy! Indoor dining is chic and intimate. Outdoor dining in summer has wonderful river views and trees. Everything on the menu is delicious and they have an excellent range of craft beers and wines to match. It's Tapa's style so expect to share and the dishes are quite expensive but definitely worth it for the amazing tastes. They also do a vegetarian degustation menu which is definitely worth trying. Staff are friendly and food comes out as it's ready. Expect a dinner for 2 with a few drinks to cost around $120 to $160 depending on menu choices.

I cannot fault this place. Have been so many times now and every time is it amazing. Tapas are the best idea. Having more than one dish rather than committing to one main meal and risking being disappointed with it. Love having a variety.

Food great as usual, however how many in the restaurant were there without any staff viewing or verifying vaccine passes ?multiple people noted entering the restaurant without scanning in also. Extremely disappointed no one asked to see my vaccine pass so it was not viewed at all! Colleagues I was with had to ask if staff wanted to see their vaccine passes and these were NOT verified using the app and no identification was asked for to verify the person carrying the pass.

If your into Tapas this is the place to be, very nice meal options to choose from, great decor and service. We'll recommended, this is a higher end restaurant so the prices reflect that as well but the food is well worth it.

The food was pretty epic but the service was hit and miss. Sometimes it's the service that lets a place down. Servers were not as helpful or attentive as expected in an establishment like this. But the food gets all the accolades. The Beef Tetaki was sensational The cauliflower was the best I have ever had The crayfish roll was a large sized portion. Pork and kimchee dumplings OMG Salmon ceviche was so refreshing and cleansing. The cheese and honey was a prefect finish Taking my husband back to try this food becaus it was that good.

The service and food here is amazing. If you are wanting an all round experience I would recommend getting the chefs sets which cost $60/70/80pp, you get a variety of dishes to try out. I have been here a couple of times and it's always a great place to be. There have a wide range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Great place for functions or a special date.

If possible, please take a seat outside as the view of Waikato River is good, and the atmosphere of enjoying delicious tapas and river scenery is great. The pork belly I ordered is delicious and crispy, but I think the dish will be better if the puree can be provided separately as the moisture from the puree will be absorbed by the pork belly, making it less crunchier. The prawn my wife ordered is not what we expected, the prawn tastes ok but too small, and the mayo come with it makes the overall flavor less fresh and light. Above comments are purely subjective but there is one thing should be addressed. When we were ordering, we asked the waiter if we can change to another table closer to the river. He informed us that the table has been reserved. However, when we finish our lunch at our original table and ready to leave, about one hour later, not any guests has sit at that table. Perhaps it's reserved hours later, but I do feel that the waiter can reply in a way such as "the table has been reserved in a later timeframe, and it's our own discretion to decide if we want to stay at the original table or to change to that table but to leave immediately when the reserved guests arrive. This may better satisfy the need of customers but also inform them of the consequences for the decision they made. Other than this small hiccup, it's quite an enjoyable meal.

Chef’s special was absolutely incredible, if you come here that is the best way to order! There wasn’t one thing we didn’t like, we only have one picture because we ate everything else so fast! I wouldn’t come here if you are trying to eat a nice dinner on a budget... but if you are wanting to have an absolutely lovely dinner for a higher price, 100% recommend it! The food was amazing, portions are small (as to be expected with tapas style) but with the chef’s special it was more than enough for us and we left very full! The ambiance is also lovely, especially if you go while the sun is still out and you can enjoy the greenery surrounding the floor to ceiling glass. We will definitely be coming back!

Innovative tapas, favorites were the beetroot gnocchi and beef tataki. Flavours are a fusion from all over the world. We were here on a weekday night so couldn't get to appreciate the view. Just ordered a takeaway menu this evening for my family and I. We have never tried it. Was given a voucher last year so had to use it up. Called over the phone, they were very polite and very knowledgeable and helpful with menu. Went to pick up my order and girl at front desk was amazing, greeted me and made me feel very comfortable. It’s so beautiful inside, very clean, warm and inviting . The food oh my goodness is absolutely delicious, portions not so big but definitely filling. My favourites were the Skagen rora, Beef Tataki, dumplings and pork belly! It is now my favourite restaurant in Hamilton.

As always, wonderful food. A bit different having it at home, but it was very well packed and all still looked lovely. Beef tataki and skagen Rora we always enjoy. All dishes got 5 stars from us. The king pao chicken was very good, but probably not something we'd get again, 4 stars.

Best food in Hamilton by far, very tasty menu, some of them a bit over salty, but overall very nice and yummy food, not a cheap but value for money if you have a special day to enjoy a nice meal and nice location. We spend $135 for 2 with 7 dishes, from prawn, scallop, beef, squid and more plus coffee, 2 juices. We will be back again.

Honestly, i'm no food buff and I don't usually care too much, but every single dish we had (and between us we tried quite a few!) tasted amazing. If i'd known it was possible to make kale appetizing, i would've had more of it sooner :) The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great for a small group of people. It's pretty pricey given the size of some of the plates, but if you take the whole experience into account, you're unlikely to feel hard done by!

First visit for dinner the other day. Just visiting Hamilton for work from Australia and wanted to try this place based on its reviews. Loved everything about it - good vibe, friendly and attentive staff, good service and the food (at least what I had) was superb. Not the cheapest but you really do get great quality and taste for it. I had the Salmon Sashimi which had amazing flavours with all the other elements on the plate. Also tried the Kimchi Pork Dumplings and they had been tasty. Liked the place so much, went back for more a few days later!

Shared a really enjoyable lunch at there lovely, restful setting, looking up into the huge trees and seeing a little of the Waikato river. It is not a cheap restaurant, but the food was very good. The staff were attentive and pleasant. I will definitely be eating there again, but it's better to go with friends who like the same type of food as you do, as the idea is to share.

We sat on the outside patio which smelled like it was in dire need of being hosed down -- some combination of spilled stale alcohol and cigarettes. The food -- all tapas style small plates -- was inspired in print, but uninspired on the plate, while the menu descriptions were not entirely accurate -- for example, my iceberg salad seemed to be more sprouts than anything. The waitress had a bossy-mother kind of personality that we found to be pretty awkward. The view of the river was inarguably beautiful.

Great magazine to read, I felt welcomed and enjoyed a drink while I waited. Several staff asked if I needed anything else which was great. Then after maybe half an hour another staff member asked if I wanted to wait upstairs in the private room where guests would arrive very soon....this I also appreciated and wandered up the spacious stairwell to catch up with 40 others. Our tapa meal came out in quick succession about an hour later and was absolutely devine, each and every plate of the 10 courses was delicious, hot and announced by the staff.
