f.Read the reviews, listened to friends and yes it's a pleasant place to go have lunch. Place and staff are well presented, clean and tidy. Added feature of a kids area is a bonus. Good food and atmosphere. Kids menu is well thought out. Something for everyone. Well priced and good servings.Well worth the drive out. Recommend to all.
The gift store is a very nice surprise. Something for everyone there too.
A.Very nice presentation. The hot cakes were delicious, maybe even best I've had. My mushroom benny lacked a bit of seasoning and there was no salt on the table and noone to check on us that we could ask for it. Overall a nice experience and the food came out fairly fast. Price wise a bit steep compared to similar Cafe's, but if you don't mind paying a bit extra, probably worth the visit.
I.One of the most beautiful breakfasts in a while. Our server Olivia was so kind and lovely, her service was outstanding. Delicious flavour combinations that impressed us beyond measure. We came as a quick bite to eat after the airport but I would make the trip to Hamilton just to have this breakfast again. The quaint shop next door also had the most wonderful selection of fresh flowers, homeware, fresh baked farm goods and an adorable children’s section.
C.It requires a very skilled chef and their team to take you that far off the beaten track of mainstream dishes and surprise you with completely unorthodox meals that your taste buds just want to cheer in euphoria.
It's no surprise that is place is always buzzing and waiting times can occur but it is worth every single minute waiting.

M.I am loving this place a lot. Come and try them. I recommend the miso/aubergine salad with the salmon, and the Mimosa drink. I am sad to have forgotten our male server's name, he was wearing black rimmed glasses, he gave us superb service.
N.We visited from New Plymouth, and the food was beautiful to look at and to eat and the environment was amazing. We met the owner and she was so lovely and genuine. Have already recommended to so many people and will absolutely go back next time I'm in the area.

J.Great options for gf and coffee was good. I felt a lot ignored at first though as they ask you to line up to be seated and then staff walked past constantly without acknowledgment. It was very busy too so I can understand, it just made me want to leave when no one came over for a while. I got takeaway and felt awkward standing around, but would go again.
B.Beautiful and sunny rustic themed place with friendly and helpful servers. I made prior bookings so seats were not a problem. Coffee was good and we enjoyed the big breakfast and strawberry + yogurt pancakes. It's a great place for dates, weekend brunches and family dining. Highly recommended.

A.Punnet is one of our favourites after going for the past few years. The food is amazing, the servings are seriously generous and I’ve never had a bad coffee there. And there’s a wicked playground for the kids too. We’ll always be regulars there

The shop next door sells fresh fruit ice cream which is a must try. there is plenty of play area for the little ones too. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
A.Lovely, spacious setting, with plenty of seating both indoor ander outdoor. Nice little playground outside for the kids. Food was delicious, although my Freakshake was oversold: flavours were all there, but it was more like a smoothie with some toppings. I'd definitely buy the cheese scone again!

We had lunch in the Seedling Shed which was adjacent to the kids playground. Very handy for young families.
Full breakfast was tasty. Coffee superb.
And the service, exceptional. The waiter made me a fresh coffee because my coffee had spilt into the saucer. I didn't have to mention it. He just replaced it. Now that's service.

j.nice food but over grilled unfortunately after eating I had a stomachache. the waitress were lovely and awesome service but the manager's attitude was not so bright.
T.We had a number of sides for lunch today, our bill came to $73 for two of us. I can't say either of us were impressed with one chicken tenderloin for $8.50 (that's each), and a side of scrambled eggs for $15 (no cream)!

Decorated really well, nice and attentive staff, loads of room, a fireplace, dedicated venue areas for events and an amazing shop next door too. Oh and a play area if you have kids too

j.What a little gem of a place, a little of the beaten track but worth the journey, place has always been busy when I have visited, staff are very friendly and helpful, good menu and coffee is good quality and good dessert options. Only negative is working out where to sit, recommend finding a table before heading up to the counter to order

M.Such a great menu and venue! On entry you are tempted by delicious cabinet offerings only on being seated and cast all previous temptations aside to order from the varied and intriguing menu. Meals are huge, the coffee is great, the service friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is bustling and chic. Pictured is the belly pork with noodles substituted with tofu and the kids chocolate milk. Enjoy your meal in peace while the kids play in the large and quirky play area. Would be happy to return here many times.

S.Delighted with our lunch experience here. Fabulously tasty dishes with great fresh ingredients. Great labelling for vegans, dairy free, gluten free and nut free. We had the vegan feast and the bruschetta. Beautiful setting. Check out the gift store too.

I opt to have customer meetings here regularly. They also change the menu with the seasons, with some excellent additions for Autumn/winter (2017).

Open-air tables comfortable and not too close to each other. Excellent fare on offer, very varied selection. Recommend.

W.Went for lunch with three friends on what must have been the coldest day of the year. We all kept our coats on the whole time. Even the wait staff were shivering. The food we had was very nice but disappointing that there was no soup on the menu which would have heated us up. I had a decaf long black but found it quite bitter.

T.A lovely little cafe, it has an outdoor playground and ice cream shop which my kids love! The food is a little over priced and I paid $9 for a "smoothie" which was just a glass of milk and strawberry syrup...... extremely disappointing.
V.The vegan feast is something to celebrate! So much delicious food on one plate. The cavolo nero was well seasoned, the bread and chilli jam are the best, rosti was yum but way over salted. Staffs were friendly and service was faultless.
N.Great cafe, the flat white I got was actually flat with the perfect amount of coffee punch (regular size). We grabbed burgers and I had a Black Beauty toasted sandwich, highly recommend! Service was excellent and they're doing really well with current Covid guidelines. Very cool shop attached, an awesome kids section and delicious deli goods. Big outdoor area with heaps to do for kids. Overall a really cool place well worth the visit, well done guys!

Yes fruit was fresh & tasty with hotcakes but sauce did not taste homemade was typical sickly maple syrup. Nice venue but very pricey. Cakes are cut small & slim but cost à lot. Coffee was served tepid. Must have been sitting for while.

D.This place is delightful. Our brunch was a piece of art and amazing selection of flavors. 3 of us shared ricotta pancakes a and chilli scramed eggs. Both are highly recommended but we loved the eggs. The shop is interesting to browse. A nice destination Cafe.
B.The food here was excellent, worth the journey out of town, even the gift shop come deli was well stocked. My only criticism would be the bathrooms could be cleaned more often. We left just before closing and after a busy lunch rush it was clear the bathroom hadn't been cleaned for a few hours.
C.Lovely cafe, awesome play area for kids and wide variety of food to choose from. Only disappointed in the fact staff dont understand parenting. I took my oldest son to the toliet, leaving my friend to supervise two toddlers. We were gone for less than 5 mins and come back to my food had been cleared (well mostly) but my friend managed to save the kids food that had only been nibbled at (ya know busy kids come back). Our table still had bags, and shoes at it. Clearly occupied! Lost the rest of my expensive raw slice. Parents want a place to chill and keep kids safe, not be nervous to keep leaving there table that food will disappear! Hope this was a one off as would love to come back

V.Such a wonderful atmosphere for a group of people of all ages.. from the indoor seated area surrounded with open doors to the outside area that let in a cool breeze on such a beautiful summers day which allowed us parents a view of our children having fun filled playtime in amongst the playground area, the meals of good portions and quality, would definitely be coming back again at our next visit to see family in Hamilton :)

N.Oh Punnet, you always make me happy. Not only is the cabinet food to die for but their coffee is strong, their bacon is thick AND their little shop has so many goodies to choose from. If you're looking for anesthetics, atmosphere and good food, pick Punnet.

R.Went there before the all blacks game on the 7th with my wife and another couple. We ordered two full breakfast to share and coffees and after that some other stuff to try. Food is not the cheapest, but good servings and very tasty. I'd already naturally recommend the place, but must highlight our waiter service, that brought the whole experience to a much higher level! Axel was brilliant all the way through, and probably one of the best waiters I've ever had in NZ! We'll definitely come back!

N.Wow this place is busy! We were a party of two and were seated within 10 mins. But I would recommend booking for larger parties and especially on the weekend. Food was delicious and the gift shop is nice to look around. Highly recommend it!

J.Punnet is a great place for brunch. It is one of our go-to cafes in Hamilton when we have visitors. Staff are friendly, service is good and food is delicious. There is a children's play area to keep children occupied. There is a store selling nifty foodstuffs next to the cafe. Decor is great, with plants and greenery surrounding. Would definitely recommend for breakfast/brunch/lunch.

S.Went for a birthday lunch here on Sunday, been a while since we’ve been here. Had chicken burgers, cake and coffee. Great meal, lovely cakes, although wish they’d ditch some of the raw cakes. Good size place, but need to book to guarantee a large table, sell fresh fruit ice creams, nice shop and play park for the kids. Definitely worth a trip and worth driving 10 mins out of Hamilton for.

F.Usually like Punnet, but last time found the $10 platter of plain shoestring fries very average and not worth the money. Got the $26 rosti with mushrooms and was very small on a large plate. For that price, I thought it would be enough for 2 people! Service took too long. To get a spare spoon took an incredible amount of time waiting inline. Love the shop there and playground but the food I'll steer clear of for meals. Not worth the high price and wait although of course it's popular. Hope it improves. Expensive lunch.

My only concern was the playground, it is a blessing to find a cafe with such an awesome playground however the concrete flooring needs some protection as I saw a preschooler split head open when they fell out the train.

The waiter did not make it clear that the sparkling came at a cost and we were charged $5.50 per person for it! The corn fritters were unpleasant to eat, lacking sauce and crumbling apart. Overall, the ambience is great, but the food is overrated and really overpriced.

A.This place was such a delightful spot for brunch. The attentive staff informed us of specials and menu highlights. The drinks were on point including the bloody mary. I had the royale hash stack with house smoked salmon and a side of house made chili jam.... delish. Highly recommend this spot which is kid friendly and has a cool outdoor area to entertain them. :)

K.This is the third time I have been here over last 12 months. Food is good but the wait for drinks and food orders and delivery is ridiculously slow. One time had to walk out due to lack of service and no improvement today albeit the staff were hospitable and apologetic. Need bigger kitchen and more staff.

H.I was there for their special summer weekend. I was not impressed by the savory items on their menu. My plate was mising an item and i didn't get any courteous reply from their manger or the cheif. The girl at cashier just said sorry. The kids menu was not healthy at all a big bowl of chips with a couple of tiny fried chicken tenders too much carb to protein ratio. The funny thing is that some of their menu items sounds ethic but in fact they are not authentic and realy lack flavour.
Other than that the food experience. I realy enjoyed the atmosphere, the ice cream bar and the kids play ground was fun.

I took my elderly aunt here for breakfast after she collected me from the airport. She likes coming here as the complex is on one level and its easy for her to get around with her walker.
A staff member warmly welcomed us on our arrival into the café. Fortunately for us they were not busy so we were able to sit at a table by the fire.
Fantastic scrambled eggs, 5 grain/seed toast looked pretty white but the generous size of the teapot made up for that.
Prices are slightly on the high side - more like one would expect at a hotel or in Ponsonby.
R.Not my first visit. This time they were really busy and service was slow. The food is great but plate sizes are smallish. We were there for lunch and mains/brunches we're $25-$26.
