We ordered the Chinese meals it was pretty expensive. Compared to what we had in Auckland. The sweet and sour pork was doughy we couldn’t finish it and we always finish our food except for the ones that doesn’t seem to be cooked fully. The chow mein was delicious though. I personally wouldn’t come here again mainly because of the price.

Best fish in chip shop Fairfield area they just need garlic. Salt and I would have given them a 5 star recommend doing a phone order to save you on wait time recommend to all

Ruby Takeaways quality has always been good. This afternoon the Service was non existent by a tall Chinese man. Very ignorant to the extent he did not repeat my order, no please or thank you and I ended up with 10 Mussels instead of the 2 I ordered. I only found out as I questioned the order. In these COVID times these businesses need to appreciate the customer or get out. My bad 😞

Had been craving a nice greasy lot of fish and chips, had snapper and steak fritter. Just what I needed!! Thanks Ruby's

Been our regular for 5 1/2 years. Tried everywhere else in walking distance but no match. Friendly family run chippie. Clean and great tasting. Whether you are looking for regular fish n chips, Chinese, or their special dishes - all are wonderful

My family nd I honestly enjoyed our meal. I would suggest they cut back on the salt tho.

Great local takeaway. Delicious hearty Chinese food packed with flavour. Chicken fried rice is a go-to favourite. Nice fish and chip options as well - the chips are always cooked to perfection, crispy/fluffy and well-salted. Highly recommended for a good night in. Accessible from the street front or the back carpark, with counters at both ends.

This is our local. Pretty reasonable prices and a good mix of food items available. Fish is always nice, sometimes they have snapper available but it is expensive.

All I have to say but there's places for many many many years in a row I brought steak fried rice from this place and it had a tastes I couldn't put my finger on but couldn't get get enough of, it was delicious and amazing and i had to go back for more and more it was almost like I was in a relationship one built solely around the sensation of pleasurable eating...... in saying that a taste didn't nothing else from there except for chips and the honey chicken I got from now didn't taste like honey but from what I hear everything else has been freaking tastic.......... selectize if you enjoyed reading my posts and the pictures are posted please like and give it a thumbs up

Can never really fail with Ruby's. Fish'n'chips always taste nice and the Chinese food is clean and yum. Only thing is a bit stingy on the chip👍🏻👍🏻

After 20 years of using this Chinese takeaways, we can honestly say that they have the best sweet and sour pork, egg foo yong, vegetable chop suey and combination fried rice in town!
