Putting my order in I made mention that last time my chicken was dry hoping it would be fresher and moist. Unfortunately dry this time as well. I will keep on coming back I must strike it lucky soon as the first time I had Texas Chicken ( they had just opened) it was absolutely delicious.

Good service and much nicer chicken than kfc. The chips are much better also, not soggy. Give them a try you will be pleased. Only down side is there small flimsy drink containers. Being straight up. Regular customer now 😋

Texas Chicken is the first place coming into the mind whenever we are craving for fried chicken. Always go for bucket meal which is enough for a small family. It is truly mouth watering when we think about their unique marinated, crunchy & crispy bone In chicken pieces. Must try meal…

This is delicious.. I got a tex sepreme non spicy with a snack sized wrap and 3 butter honey buns.. those fries are incredible.. everything was really good much better then i thought it was going to be.. 5 stars

Sadly upon our visit here, my brother experienced eating a raw chicken, hes a people pleaser and felt rude telling the workers so he ate it anyway, besides that the chicken was very moist and tasty

Been here twice. Ordered wings both times. The first time I was more than impressed as the taste, quality was really good. The second time I was kind of disappointed as the wings tasted stale and dry. The fries are really good though and service is nice as well. Surely better than KFC!

We went in for lunch to take away. Positives: the food we got was nice, the honey butter bun was absolutely delicious, the chicken was well cooked and tender. Negatives: one of our orders wasn't cooked, and was completely missed until we queried it. One burger was ordered as big club, and we received just the club burger. I asked for no tomato, which showed on my receipt, then received a burger with tomato in it. I may go back in future, but it won't be my first choice. I would strongly recommend they get a screen rather than calling out order numbers, as it was difficult to understand what number was being called.

The chips are crispy and yummy and the burger is absolutely delicious, much better compared to the direct competitor. High quality standards, as the fried chicken tastes fresh and it is not oily at all.

We went there yesterday for lunch and very surprised to have a nice food and good price. Chicken was tender, juicy and tasty, crunchy chips,faster. Toilets clean and tidy. Friendly staff and atmosphere.

Best fries ever and huge pieces of chicken. Kids chicken nuggets are awesome, and has a smokey bacon flavor. Chicken tenders need the dipping sauce for flavor else pretty bland but really tender. Get the wings with or without the spice....both are still yummy

Lower fat than kfc. Very tasty. Portions seem bigger, and more tasty and fresher. Burgers and wraps are very nice. We travel across the city to purchase their food. Only gave 4 stars as while the chicken seems bigger, the potato & gravy is smaller than kfc. Or at least in what we purchased.

The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Most importantly, the fried chickens and burgers were so juicy and delicious. I tried the spicy ones and they were great. Spicy enough to have a kick and still enjoyable. Side fries were really nice as well. (Note: It would be even better if there was non fizzy option for drinks.) We would definitely come back.

First time visiting. Staff were friendly. Restaurant was quiet. Chicken Pieces were fresh, juicy, and succulent. Hot Chips - yummy. My only cons is that the burgers looked like they'd been slapped together with not much thought. Anyone could slap some mayo and lettuce between two buns so nothing special to differentiate their burgers to say, KFC. Last, I poured myself a large Coca Cola that tasted more like water than it did Coke.

Generally underwhelming. basically off-brand KFC. Went here with mates, wasn't actually feeling it but was hungry so ended up getting some chicken. On the plus side, there was heaps of food in the 2PC chicken, and it filled me up, which was automatically a plus in my opinion. The chicken itself was ok, but to be honest I would have preferred KFC. The fries were probably the best part of the meal, they bumped the rating up from 2 to 3 stars, but they weren't good enough for me to want to go there again.

Chicken was so juicy. The fries were coated with some sort of chicken salt and the gravy in the potato was certainly different and one I prefer to KFC. I opted for spicy chicken in my burger. Very nice. I like the spicy option. Refillable soft drinks is always a good thing with kids. Very nice 👍

It's not bad, the burger was the best thing that I ordered. Chips are like the ones from Wendy's, potato and gravy is nice, gravy has a strong chicken flavour to it. The honey buttered bun is different, don't really know how it goes with everything else in the menu, it's very sweet. Wasn't asked what flavoured drink I wanted when going through the drive thru.

1. Need to fix ventilation I was there twice 12 and 6 pm. Probably at their peak time. The restaurant literally filled with smoke. I saw the smoke came out of the sliding door even before I walked in. 2. Staff at the counter, I think they should have someone there to take order at all time. Rather than three people putting order together at the same time. 3. Food, I love honey butter buns. Chickens and fries are also good.

The 5x Roads store has great Customer Service, the chicken is awesome way better than KFC!!! I have taken my friends and family there and they also enjoyed the meals and service We have dined in and also had takeaways and both experiences have given outstanding service, that's why I go nearly everyday!!!Keep it up Texas Chicken 5x Roads Awesome Work Team!!!

Love the chicken, but every time I've been they've been out of something, and the other night it was a half hour wait for chicken. Also super gutted they don't offer a BBQ sauce option anymore. Was excited when they came to town but the ball has been dropped.

Comparing Texas chicken to KFC here, fairly long review For burgers, the buns at texas chicken taste fresher and fluffier. Texas chicken was using a fresh tomato salsa instead of the regular tomato slice which was awesome tasty but I don't think they're doing it anymore. The chicken on the burger at texas chicken usually seems bigger to me compared to kfc but not 100% sure on that one. The taste of the chicken patty at both KFC and Texas chicken are similar, both really good. Texas chicken chips seem crispier and fluffier than kfc's, I think kfc uses cheap tastless potato imo and season it to make it taste better. Potato and gravy at Texas chicken is sweeter than KFC. Potato and gravy from both places are really good though. The honey butter buns taste as good as they sound. For straight chicken though KFC is superior, Texas chicken chicken seems a weird greyish colour to me, it doesn't look appealing. Texas chicken coating is ok, it's crispier than KFC but I prefer kfcs coating Price I feel that Texas chicken is slightly more expensive than KFC but not 100% sure, upsizing combos I'm sure is more expensive than kfc

Crunchy, juicy and tender but bland ... All about the sauce that goes with it I guess. Bun/biscuit was really sweet, that was a surprise. Almost cake like. Interesting experience. Will try again.

I went in after reading the reviews and i agree with most of them. The chips are nice and so is the potato and gravy, the service is good and had no problems ordering and have my order taken. The biggest let down was the chicken. It was very crunchy which was good but had next to no taste and unfortunately the chicken was very very dry. I didnt enjoy any of the chicken i ate sadly. I never tried a burger but i highly doubt i will return again to find out. I prefer kfc for a tasty chicken fix. I cant see them being a threat to the colonel. More of a 2.5 stars but i cant do a half star

My chicken wings we're really dry. But Mustafa was very kind to give me some fresh tender ones that we're delicious. You can tell the place is understaffed. Whoever's managing this place should realize that being stringent on wages negatively impacts customer experience and thus branch reputation.

It just opened today and my first impressions are pretty good even with the staff being rushed off their feet when we were there. Also my first time at any Texas Chicken, the prices are reasonable compared to KFC and the food I had was pretty tasty but I still prefer KFCs chicken.

I'm not much of a chicken person, so I was hoping for something to entice, inspire and motivate me towards chicken. Nope. It was also busy when we visited and the chicken was REAL hot so that was a pain also. I had some of the original, with gravy and chips. Very crunchy and tender, and hot, a bit bland compared with KFC, chips were OK, no chicken salt, gravy was different and had a little kick. Also tried a little burger which was OK. Nothing really grabbed me. It was OK. Not amazing. Greasy - just like KFC. It didn't do it for me, but like I said - I'm not a chicken person.

Spicy chicken and mexican wrap is delicious and customer service is far better. I have had the most amazing experience in this place. specially yog kumari ( blonde hair), she has been so efficient and wonderful. My friends and i really enjoyed her customer service.
