Got the green shakshuka with spiced butter and tomato fenugreek chutney and it was incredible. Really nice coffee too!

Wonderful breakfast and fun Cafe. They a good selection of breakfast and all day lunch options. My only suggestion would be to add a kiwi big breakfast, otherwise good menu. They also offer a nice selection of sides if you need to girls creative and make your own breakfast.

It was o.k but quite expensive we both had fish and chips. The fish was super fresh but the salad was literally just a pile of lettuce.

The opera kitchen has the most creative menu & there is an elite range. Always the most excellent service provided , especially by the front of house staff member Carlita who aims above and beyond to create a one of a kind experience.

Coffee is strong taste, recommend to have a large size. The noodle fired chicken is juicy inside and crispy out side. This is a creative cusine. However, the pickle celery tastes strong sour from the vinegar, and the cheese sauce is not making a balance taste, as the fired chicken is heavy taste, I will prefer a light texture sauce instead of heavy creamy sauce. May be a kimchi veg salad works well ?

Great service! Amazing selection from all day breakfast and all day lunch menu. The house granola is divine and the beef burger is incredible! Not to mention a great selection of cabinet food.

Great service, lovely and friendly staff. Kai is refreshing and delicious. You can also have your dog in the heated rear cage. Coffees are also fantastic. You can have discrete to moderate size meetings here as well!

Coffee was all good ......but ....... Wanted a peppermint tea. We don't have peppermint tea but have fresh mint tea. Well it's exactly that, mint leaves in a tea pot. Mint growing in garden outside ...... So $4.50 for mint in a tea pot that hubby didn't even drink because he didn't like it.

Coffee and cakes are nice, friendly customer service don’t go when it’s busy the wait in line is rather slow, great shop with interesting artwork on the walls. My only downside was someone had a fish dish and the smell was off putting.

From our first communication about a hens' party brunch, Opera Kitchen staff were accommodating and friendly, making sure we'd get exactly what we wanted. When we walked in, it was immediately obvious that they'd taken time and trouble to make it feel like a special event. The food was exceptional - particularly as they catered for food allergies in an inclusive way, which is harder to do than it sounds. I could eat their granola for the rest of my life, and the rest of the food came a close second!

First time visit for us today. We were greeted warmly and chose a table outside. We were bought sparkling water to start and offered drinks/coffee. We ordered and didn’t wait long for our meals which were all delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Will certainly visit again.

Attention to detail! The staff are friendly, attentive and informative. I come here often to study and I am blown away by the way the staff approach their guests. Today one of the waiters remembered my usual order which was very impressive! The outdoor area is wonderful on a warm day and the interior of the building is minimilastic and industrial with a smoothing serenade of chill music. One of the best cafes in Hastings no doubt. Thank you for the impeccable service and perfect Flat Whites.

Best coffee I've had in NZ so far. Lovely, light place with warm and friendly staff. And they put sparkling water on the table so 10/10 for that. I just had sourdough toast and the jams were delicious.

An excellent place to meet for a coffee and have a business meeting. The tables are not squeezed in so that you have no room to move. The service, coffee and food is of an excellent standard. Well worth a visit.

One of the busiest spots in Hastings, this place is never a disappointment. The coffee is always spot on and they know how to do an amazing scrambled eggs on hefty sourdough!!! The menu is standard cafe fare but with a gourmet twist! There's interesting art work on the walls and lots of hustle and bustle all around which creates great atmosphere! And even on days when it's incredibly busy with no available tables, they still seem to be able to fit you in!
