Was a fairly nice experience this time, the food was yummy, a little pricey for the amount you get but I guess that's becoming the norm these days. I think the menu is seasonal so I wanted something not on the menu anymore. Bummer. Good service.

Absolutely wonderful. What a great place to eat and the food was amazing. Over a number of visits it has been consistently excellent quality. Last night we booked for 7 - even through the group grew to 9 they simply made more room available. And the wait staff were excellent...

Food was delicious and service was very friendly. We had the haloumi bread, crispy filo and calamari to start, and the spicy lamb and chicken souvlaki. We could not fault any of the dishes. It was our waitress first day at work and it was a very busy evening. Service might not have been perfect but it was very pleasant.

BEST CALAMARI I HAVE LITERALLY EVERRRR TASTED!!!
And yes I’m writing that in capitals because you simply cannot go to or pass through the Havelock North let alone Hawkes Bay/Napier without booking in to this little Aegean/Turkish gem literally just to experience that entree. So fresh, melted in the mouth, all three of us had our eyes rolling back into our heads we were in raptures. I’ve travelled the world and nowhere has comes close to serving something so simple up that good - could’ve eaten a bowl of it. And of course the rest of the menu is so good you’ll have trouble making choices (cue sharing small plates), mains are beautiful rich and authentic and well portioned. I had to order half a takeaway of my beef moussaka because I’d overdone it on the insanely good halloumi bread starter and still wanted to make room for Tiramasu. Happily washed it all down with a bottle of Trinity Hill Syrah. This place is so unassuming but absolutely worth venturing out to experience / support some local homestead-like hospitality. I’m going to be daydreaming about feta wrapped in filo with toasted seasame seeds and a drizzle of delicious honey on the drive all the way back to Auckland. And sorry, ate the calamari so quick I forgot to take a photo, but the moussaka and Tiramasu made the cut. Thank you FIKO - such a pleasure!
