Celebrated my birthday dinner at St George's and their chefs 6 course menu did not disappoint us at all. All dishes were very tasty and colourful! You can adjust the tasting menu to your liking, which I thought this is quite nice. The best part was that most of their veggies served are all grown on their lifestyles. This restaurant is quite sustainable on its own. Had a super full tummy afterwards.

5 Gold Stars...Absolutely stunning food. My wife and I visited with both our daughters ( 17 & 21 ) who were treated to a gastronomic delight served by the very capable and friendly Aby and Braydon. The starters we choose ranged from the Bostock Chicken , Salmon Gravalax and the Heirloom tomato dish all 3 were outstanding and visually stunning on the plate. We went gor a different main each my wife chose the Pork belly , my daughters had the Lamb rump and Organic Hereford beef and I chose the Groper which was market fish of the day. All were beautifully presented with accompanied veggies and pickles and lastly we could only manage 2 deserts ( we were full ) those were the Orange and saffron Creme Brule and Strawberry Meringue ( not like any Meringue mind you) and they finished off a perfect night of stunning food....if your in the Hawke's Bay this is a must place to visit only 20 mins from central Napier

Five stars all around. Lovely atmosphere, food and location. We enjoyed our time here this evening, and every single component of the meals were perfectly matched and cooked to perfection. It is lovely to look out at the garden and see the produce being grown that we are eating.

St George’s went above and beyond to create the best day for our wedding. They sourced vegan wine and designed and prepared an entirely plant based menu for our guests. The food was amazing and presented in the most artistic way, our friends and family are still talking about it months later! I was really looking forward to the organic veg being the star of the show, unfortunately they were all uniformly too sweet and I battled to identify the individual flavors, the chardonnay was overly chilled when served too. The meat was perfect, the red wine was amazing, and the wait staff was very attentive.

Highly recommend. Fantastic service, food and wine list! We were super impressed with the fact they grow all their own produce, have a fantastic wine list including Organics, and our waiter was v.knowledgeable with great recommendations. And a bonus to allow our dog join us in the courtyard. Loved the setting and low key ambience too.

Delicious food! They look like smallish servings but are definitely filling and the perfect amount by the time you’re done. Everything comes with an incredibly interesting salad built in - although salad is too mundane a word for the myriad of adventures sitting on your plate - so no need to order too many extra greens! Plenty of the food is picked from their own gardens as well. Several vegetarian options too: our vegies ordered the courgette flower dish and enjoyed it very much. On the expensive side but worth it for the food if you feel like splashing out. Nice shaded outdoor spots as well as indoor, with a real country garden atmosphere. Lovely service, even got an entrée on the house, and a good selection of drinks. And GET THE PORK. It’s to DIE FOR.

Thank you for the most amazing dining experience! The whole evening was perfect from start to finish! From first walking in, first impressions were great. I loved the overall vibe, the music was chilled, and the simplicity of the decor with the brightly coloured wall hanging was just beautiful. We were warmly welcomed and our service from Aby was exceptional, he was friendly, had time for us and was generally a top guy (who is great at singing 'happy birthday!'). The food was out of this world, we had a main course each and dessert. All the vegetables are fresh, organic and grown on site and you can taste this in the quality of the the food. I thought the bright colours on the plate from the great selection of veggies was fun and was a nice touch alongside the of course amazing taste of the food of itself. The chef is also clearly very talented! Desserts were like no desserts we had ever tasted. My friend and I had the rosemary creme brulee and deconstructed lemon pie, both wonderful. Lastly, I would like to compliment Aby on his cocktail making skills! The espresso martini is delish and involves a special, unique twist compared to a regular one. I can highly recommend, thanks again!

Excellent food and service. Our 3 young children and one coeliac dietary menu were all catered for. Not only is the food fresh and delicious, most of the vegetables are grown organically on site. The crockery and food presentation are a visual delight. Thank you.

My husband our daughter and I had a beautiful Sunday lunch here, the food was delicious and presentation was fab, service was fantastic too. Only reason I haven't put 5 stars is the layout of the restaurant is a little confusing (entrance way wasnt obvious) and decor of the building is outdated. But otherwise Francky your food rocks especially the crispy pork belly and the rosemary brulee

Walked in the restaurant at a wet night, the food are colorful, nutritious and tasty, 90% of the ingredients are grown from their own organic garden, not far from the town center, glad we made the right choice.

My now wife and I chose to have an elopement style wedding here in Hawke's Bay and couldn't be more grateful that we found St. George's Resturant. We were initally attracted by how colourful and delicious the food looked and arranged to meet Kathryn. Cannot thank Kathryn enough. From recommending photographers, make-up artists, celebrants and where to shop for dresses and suits to helping the whole event run smooth on the day. She really went above and beyond to ensure our day was one to remember. For that we are truely grateful. The outdoor courtyard was the perfect place for us. No doubt it will be the perfect place for many other couples who choose to have their wedding here. Whether you're visiting Hawke's Bay for a short or long stay, have an event you want to celebrate or just fancy as delicious meal, a night here is one you'll remember. Lots of smiles, laughs and full bellies!

Really great fresh produce from their own gardens. Creatively put together, in a way that had interesting flavours without overwhelming the beautiful flavours of the base products. Across all the dishes there was a very high standard. The stuffed zucchini flower was the envy of the table. The blown glass apple dessert was a work of art. Extremely accommodating to have made it for when it isn't even on the menu at this time of year. The service was excellent, delightful attentive staff, each dish was explained to the recipient. All the food was delivered to a large group at the same time. The decor is fresh and welcoming, style without snobbery. The wine list had interesting options, the Malbec was magnificent. Overall an excellent place for a special night out, it was a memorable meal. Will definitely come again. I've been to several award winning restaurants in A Hawke's Bay, and this one beats them all.

Amazing food, service, and presentation. It might be a bit pricey, but well worth it because most of the ingredients are grown fresh on site. Definitely one of the best places you can go in Hawkes Bay! It seems a bit out of the way, but it's really not. Give it a try if you haven't been. You won't regret it. 🥰

We have been several times and are always surprised how good this out of the way restaurant is. They have amazing fresh ingredients, many grown on site (the tomatoes are to die for). Dishes are innovative, delicious and well presented. Service is friendly and attentive. Very nice quiet spot with indoor and outdoor eating. Can’t really fault it in all the times we’ve been.

St George's is a very special place. I got married to the love of my life here. They were so accommodating of our vision for the wedding, and great at helping us find answers to the questions that we didn't even know to ask. We've been back a few times for meals since our wedding, and have always been welcomed with friendly smiles. The wait staff go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable, and happy with how your stay is going. The food has been consistently outstanding with most of the elements grown in the surrounding land. Ultra local. I have ceoliac disease, and most of the meals are gluten free by default. Couldn't recommend St George's more if you're in the mood for a more formal dinning experience. Oh, I have to add, everyone needs to try their rosemary creme brulee!

Absolutely the best fine dining I have had anywhere. Great ambiance, service and selection with amazing combinations of mostly organic food grown on the premises. Every little detail so meticulously completed. But most of all the tastes were sublime with an excellent selection of wines to choose from.

I recently held a small gathering to celebrate my 70 th birthday Frankie and his team were most obliging in every way! Each time I phoned he answered personally, he sent me a copy of the set menu to approve before the event and created a very inviting relaxed environment for our dining!( almost like being in Tuscany!!) He takes pride in organically growing all the vegetables served in the restaurant himself!! You guys should try their entree prawn and pop chicken!! This is out of normal deep fried food. They perfectly fried the food without overcook the meat and they combine it with all sort of vegie that make it fresh on the same time!! It is like tasty, fresh, yummy, fresh and so on!!!! Then try to order the pork belly! Apart from they could make a crispy pork skin without overcooking the meat - which I expect from this kind of restaurant, they could combine the pork with some sort of apple sauce etc. Google, is there any way to rate higher than 5? Honestly, I cannot say anything bad apart from the quality of my whisky sour, and the timing and quality of the main. The mains did take quite a while to bring out even being one of the earlier tables seated, and the gurnard fish of the day was over cooked and a bit bland. However I can absolutely recommend all of the deserts, tiger prawn entree, and the beef main. The service of the staff was all very good, and overall enjoyed the evening

Beautiful food, and the presentation is wonderful. Went with a group of 8 and we couldn't fault it, the pork belly was melting and delicious and the apple crumble dessert is worth a try, those yoghurt wafer things...amazing!

Booked dinner for two. Restaurants main dining area was vibrant and buzing tables of fours and sixes. Maitre d placed us in another area out of the bustles very thoughtful of our alone time. Service is polite and responsive. Beer and Wine list was great. Food came out in a timely manner and was both a feast for the eyes and taste buds.! Would recommend st Georges as a must do.

We had the most delightful evening with friends at St George's last week. The service was very nice and the food exceptional with flavours no doubt enhanced by the fact that they grow their own vegetables organically. They also raise their own cattle so have total control over the whole process.I'm sure there were other gems of information as this really was a treat.

Enjoyed a fabulous meal here with family on a cold wet night October 2019. Food delicious and presentation superb, they grow their own organic garden vegetables which seasonally appear on their very enticing menu. The decor is cosy a little dated but would definitely go back to dine again.

This place can be summed up pretty easily. Nice food; good atmosphere; nice premesis. I'd recommend this restaurant for work functions, or as a night out with a twist on your usual dinner meal. The pork belly and lamb was cooked perfectly and seasoned with pride. If you're looking for something upper class, without being completely pretentious, give this place a chance.
