Great food and awesome location for the lakeside views. 4/5 just because their mac & cheese serving size in their kids menu was not enough for kids. Had to order twice.

The seafood chowder had a very good consistency, but wasn't very tasty. Some more spices would help... The halloumi cheese was delicious. The pork ribs were nor that crispy, and the meat quite dry.... But my steak was excellent!!! Cooked perfectly, soft and tasty. Friedly stuff, nice wines.

We made such a great choice by stopping by and eating here! First off, the views are absolutely stunning. From most seats in the place you get a waterfront and mountain range vista, the best possible backdrop to your meal. Secondly, the food is delightful! I had the fish & chips and genuinely enjoyed every aspect of my plate to the full. The rest of our group had the three cheese ravioli (scrumptious sauce) and the Manapouri beef burger (a personal favorite). And of course, the staff served us with such charm and kindness. A+ to the entire experience. The entrance we used was wheelchair inaccessible, but there was accessible outdoor seating.

Big portions and amazing views, but the chicken was not free range which was disappointing. Also they do not recycle- as seen in my pic, all their rubbish goes into the same bin! We are in 2020, and this is truly horrifying.

Very friendly staff, great food and they even have sasparella! Yum!, great view of the lake, excellent toy selection for kids to keep them entertained while mum and dad sneak off for a cheeky beverage 😁 juke box available for use in the bar area, private function room available for hire, overall a great place to stop in to have a rest from the road. Oh and awesome ceiling fans made to look like helicopters!

Great atmosphere, owner is amazing. Beautiful view. Pool darts, old arcade racing games and pool and ping pong. Get the prawns for an appetizer and the venison burger. Amazing

Very nice place, I slept there for 2 nights and when to eat there. The burger was delicious and the beer too. The view is great. You can go outside and enjoy a drink on a sunny day while looking out on the Manapouri Lake. I recommend the restaurant and the camp right next to it.

Girl at counter was friendly and polite, ordered takeaway coffee and it was so much better than most of the coffee I've had in NZ so we went back for dinner later on. Absolutely delicious. They had an actual chef, prices were fair for the quality of food you got. The burger was outstanding and the lamb shanks were to die for. Cosy restaurant area with a fireplace, and old-style diner booths with fast service. Many people are obsessed with Milford Sound and Te Anau, but Manapouri was a hidden gem much better than either of those other places. It was a pleasure dining here. It had a beautiful view across the lake and mountains too when the sun was setting.

Atmospheric bar / diner. Very friendly lady working here who offered us a private beer tasting. Try the dark beer from tap, it's good! Comfort food; what you hope for is what you get.

Fiordland College took 40 students to the Lakeview Cafe and Bar and Corey was super accomodating. He came in early and sorted extra staff so that he could cook our lunch for the time that we needed. The chips and hotdogs were amazing, and the kids were really stoked with the juice that he offered as well. He also provided delicious wedges and chips for the teachers/adult helpers. We enjoyed our lunch on the grass/picnic tables looking out at the beautiful view. Thank you so much to Corey and his team!!!

It's your classic South Island pub. Staff were friendly, speights on tap, a pool table plus views of the lake. We order some bar food, wedges with bacon cheese and sweet chilli sauce and some chips. The bar food was good, exactly what we expected so no complaints there. It's definitely one of the go to for the locals but we didn't feel unwelcome.

Had roast of the day and dessert. Food, service and value for money were top notch. The setting is perfect with a lake view and there was plenty for the kids to do. Would highly recommend.

My husband's blue cod meal was good . My chicken curry was really chilli chicken soup. A disappointment

A very good little cafe, good food, amazing view and Monteith's cider on tap. Seems to be the town dive bar shared with the cafe which had some cool memorabilia related to the hydroelectric project and an old timey juke box in the corner. A cool spot.

Donna is great! They have pool, foosball, darts and table tennis. And a beautiful view. Full disclosure, they played country music.

My preferred place in the Southland/Fjordland. Tipical Kiwi. Good food and Speights beer. Was there in February. Hope to can come back sooner or later.
