Reviews of Leeston Coffee Company
L.
Excellent food, friendly staff. Music could be turned down a bit, otherwise like it. Love the atmosphere. Please do not remodel like so many cafes- restaurants. They are now all alike. You are unique!🥰👍
C.
First time to Leeston & stopped for lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed. :)) Lovely friendly staff and great food selection. Also checked vaccination passport on arrival, all good. ✔️ Only qualm was the staff and 2 separate groups of customers we observed were not wearing face masks when arriving, ordering & walking around etc.
P.
Gorgeous weather day, great friendly staff, enjoyed a very nice cappuccino, pie and custard square.. we sat outside on the pavement in the warm spring sunshine but the decor inside is very cosy and inviting in a rustic way .. can recommend 👌
Just recently visited late Dec 2021: Great value good portions Great atmosphere and friendly staff, couldn't want for more, however make sure you're really hungry or ask for smaller or half portions especially meals that come with fries
S.
Good service, good coffee, lots to choose from the cabinet. Always make a special detours to stop for their coffee & something to eat. Would be good to have the daily news paper.
C.
A huge range of cabinet and menu food to choose from. Plenty of indoor and outdoor dining space. Very friendly and helpful staff.
M.
Really enjoyed breakfast here and you could also get a half a big breakfast which was good I recommend staff were lovely
R.
Generous servings and kind staff. Quieter than expected. Plenty of sauces to go with our food options too. Everyone ate well and even had extra to take home with us. Delicious thank you. Will be back for more.
D.
Great food n the cheese rolls are the bee's knees 😋 n great coffee too
D.
I was disappointed that the cheese rolls weren't hot & when I took them back the lady put them in the microwave. This made them hot but the bread went soft & soggy, not like a cheese roll should be. We were in a hurry so just ate them.
Also, there were no prices on anything so you have no idea when you are ordering how much things would be. They had some lovely looking biscuits for sale in packets but I didn't buy them as I didn't know how much they were. I was going to ask but didn't have time to wait in the queue.
G.
Great food great service amazing coffee. Definitely worth a visit
M.
Great coffee, and pies ,friendly staff and local art for sale

Nice place, with a good choice for the lunch, the dressing of my plate was nice and simple, also the restaurant looks very clean, and the food was nice
L.
Nice reasonably priced foid and friendly service
D.
Coffee was excellent and the Mince Pie, well, even 3 days later I haven't decided whether or not it was good, very unusual taste. May have to return to make my mind up.
S.
always good consistent coffee.
gluten free toasties are yum. there's somthing to cater to everyone. pies look amazing. friendly staff
M.
I feel that I am very generous to give it 3 stars. We were waiting for our hot lunch for about half an hour to be served. We could see our order sitting on the bench for at least 15 minutes before being served. We were the only one waiting for our food and there was only one other couple in the restaurant.
Conclusion : Food was cold!!!
For us it will be the last visit.
N.

L.
Friendly staff, warm fire! 😍 Great food.
C.
The home of the world famous in New Zealand, or at least the South Island, Hilliers pies. Unfortunately Hilliers pies which were once so good people queued up for ages to get one, are now a pale shadow of their former selves, being mass produced and reheated. Beyond the pies, the cafe itself does a reasonable range of meals, reasonably standard fair, but perfectly tasty and good value for money. Skip the pies and have one of the cooked meals.
J.
Awesome service, food is excellent staff friendly, definitely recommend, :)

Cosy and relaxed. My local coffee shop in the country town of leeston. Good range of food at a reasonable price compared with the city coffee houses. Worth a try if you are out this way.

Lovely interesting old building. Friendly staff, great food.
T.
......(continued- please see first part of my review on 'Hillyer's Country Cottage as this review is substantial) stuff gets served to North Island clientele such as myself. In an island which is bovine and ruminant fecundant and a region replete with praiseworthy produce I cannot understand how a pie stated to be laden with meat was just a crusty bowl of inglorious gruel and the salad as limp as a Black Caps top order collapse. Needless to say, we didn't wish to leave the captivating village on a sour note. And we did finding an absolute Bobby Dazzler gem of an eatery named La Wheat which loves "exotic folk", has exceptional service and who create goods which are a credit to Canterbury. The 3 stars are for the gardener and the "one" warm, wise, wispish wonder woman who we do applaud. Leeston, that glitch asides, thankyou for being such a hospitable bunch.
S.
Always stop here when passing through. Very friendly staff. Felt food and interior looks a bit tired. Will try the other places next time.
