r.One of my favourite places to go in South Wairarapa, best most tastiest smorgasbords ever, yummy fish and chips and you pay for quality! Highly recommend this place for a decent meal.
M.Fresh fish crumbed or battered at reasonable prices. Fish of the day changes constantly and the added fare of assorted deep fried treats are available. Also avail yourself of the Chinese fill your own container.
Chip portion could be bigger but an otherwise clean and consistent experience. New found favorite and happy to recommend 👌

R.Amazing to have 5 types of fish on offer. Was pretty good but I was expecting better from an award winner and it could have been better. Fish was fresh n tasty but a bit over firm. I appreciate Warehou is a nice meaty fish but this was a bit chewy. Should have put chips in a separate tray as the steaming fish laid on top of the chips made them go soggy by the time I got them home.
Hope for better next time.

Hi again, review previous still stands for that experience. However a visit just today left me delighted as the fish (Warehou) was fresh tasting, very nicely battered and cooked beautifully. The kids are the harshest fish n chips critics and they Wolfed it 😋. Took my own advice to have the fish n chips wrapped separately and that made a big difference. Still think the chips could be better though. Perhaps a change in supplier is needed.
Well done on the big improvement.
Again amazing selection of fish including Hoki, Warehou, Terakihi, Blue Cod and even Snapper!

L.Always the best Fish and Chips. My friend Betty (who sadly passed few months ago) introduced me to Mac's few years ago. We would have F & C often!! So, when I'm over Masterton way it's not uncommon to have Mac's for lunch or takeaway for dinner.

C.Really good range of fish, beer battered chips are lovely. Theres a fair few things on the deep fry - expected stuff like sausge, spring roll and hot dogs but there's also doughnut&moro bar. Burgers and family packs too. Some seating inside for waiting and a few tables for those who need to get stuck in as soon as possible, theres also a toilet inside. Not greasy, very tasty and well priced . Plenty of parking outside

k.Best cooked kaimoana in the Waikato’s area. Their are fish options and this was cooked perfectly. I love my fish just cooked so it’s still juicy and tastes like fish and they have this mastered. Also had scallops and the cheaper oysters and both were cooked to perfection so they were still soft and delicious. The place is very very clean as were the toilets. Definitely will be our go to for fish and chips in the Wairarapa area.

C.Best fish and chips I had in a long time. Unexpectedly got stuck in Masterton for a couple of hours and found this gem. Will be a stop whenever we're out that way now. Seating available in the place. Prices really good considering the amount of food you get. Food is tasty, particularly the beer battered fries.
J.Heard it was good from some locals, gave it a go and was impressed with the quality of fish and selection. Great service and our large order was processed quickly. Worth checking out, would definitely go back.
