On the way back from Waihi we stopped in Morrisville to get something to eat. Few places open and we decided to try this Village Kitchen. Just 5 of us there, no other customers. But the food was fantastic, I ordered the prawn salad, my kids shared the smoked shrimp pasta and my wife picked the salmon. Everything was tasty and well served. Staff very kind and efficient. Price wise is the cheapest , but considering the quality and flavors, it was totally worth.

Visited as a family group on Saturday night. It was busy, but not packed, so a nice atmosphere. Good service, prompt and polite. The entree, garlic bread, was big and two was too much for five people. The mains were all nice; tasty and well presented. The desserts were amazing. Maybe a little expensive, but definitely worth it. We'll come back. Update - visited several more times, still very good.

Both my husband and I have been here a few times now and I thought it was about time I write a review. The hospitality is fantastic and staff are willing to do anything to make sure that you have a great experience. The food in my opinion gets better and better every time we come in. Prices are very reasonable. This time we paid just over 100 and that was for 1 entree (Chicken Pate with Cranberry) to share, 2 mains (Pork ribs and pork belly) 1 dessert (Crème brûlée) also to share 1 bottle of wine and 1 bottle of beer. Atmosphere is nice with a good selection of background music. The only thing I can suggest is maybe dimming the lights a bit this would defiantly help the atmosphere side of things. Cannot wait to dine there again and highly recommend trying it out.

Tried out this restaurant on my daughter's birthday, great food, the atmosphere was relaxed and calming, and ambient. I had the lamb shanks which was delicious and my daughter had the burger with fries... Worth a try, and will be back again.

We were a group of 6 ( 1 under 5) and had booked ahead. Our table was ready and the service was friendly and welcoming. We ordered drinks and food promptly, as you do with a 4 year old.....she had chosen fries for her dinner. Our entrees arrived and it would have helped if her fries had come at the same time, but they arrived shortly after. For our mains there were 2 steaks ordered and these were declared amazing by the recipients, 1 lamb salad which was devoured appreciatively, a chicken roulade, the accompaniments were a little disappointing and the beef tri tip, unfortunately this was so chewy and tough it was sent back uneaten. Dessert was fine. Overall a pleasant experience and we will come back, but choose differently next time.

Simply All-round Fabulous! We booked a couple hours beforehand for 7pm. Warm attentive staff, all our meals were delicious. It was a fairly busy night and our table of 7 was well looked after, wasn't too bad of wait for dishes to arrive all on time and they all looked glossy magazine worthy and we're enjoyed immensely. Our entree's were: Shared cheesy garlic bread (thin crust pizza style) & Calamari! Our main meals were: 3 x surf & turf, 2 x lamb shank, pork belly, triple meat burger. The menu is extensive - including dietary requirements - and your spoilt for choice along with a list of sides to custom design to your taste buds. Thank you for an enjoyable evening. We'll be back soon!

Came here for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Staff were fantastic, attentive but unobtrusive. Wine menu was good and selected a superb Malbec that complemented our mains of lamb shank and eye fillet, which were both fabulous. The starter of pate was superb and we were treated to a complimentary desert to celebrate our special occasion, what a wonderful touch and reflects how the owner takes care of his patrons. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommend this little gem to anyone looking for an intimate but special restaurant.

This is the best meal my 4husband and I have ever had. The 3 cheese garlic bread is superb. I had the lamb salad which was too die for and my husband had the burger which he said is the best he's ever had. I want to make an excuse to come back for more as we live in Whakatane. Thanx heaps guys 😁💗👍

This is a nice little restaurant in Morrinsville. The food and Service was both fantastic. I would highly recommend for small dinner group as I don't think it's big enough for big groups.
