W.Been here twice in the past month, & both times have had the lovely Jess as our waitress. She's very personable, courteous & efficient. Our party, both times, just wanted her to be acknowledged. She's a star.
The food is pretty flavoursome, & there's a good variety for both mains & desserts. The salad accompaning is yum. There's portion options for some mels which is handy. Only negative is that their prices are a little more than what you'd expect for what is essentially a pub meal.
J.Had the best lunch at Nellie's today food was amazing and the staff we very accommodating and polite had the best experience ever , highly recommend stopping in for a meal !!!

D.Just had dinner here for hubby’s bday. Was absolutely delish. Two delightful waitresses - Jess and Shinae. Absolutely beautiful meals. Presentation and execution top notch!!! Great price too. $24 for the risotto and pork belly and I couldn’t fault it. Highly recommend.

Her service was amazing from start to finish, as so were the other Staff members.. the meal was delicious, and we didn't wait long at all for our Meal.. Keep up the good work. H.I was getting a pint with the lads, and this lovely lad talked to me and said his name was Hayden Scully, he poured me a pint and we had a lovely chat, he honestly made me and the lads night he cracked a couple of jokes while serving other customers which was extremely impressive. He was never behind on work and he never made anyone wait, give this legend a raise. Many thanks Hadley, Peter, Chris, Ronan, Tommy, and Dion.

C.I have to say that few restaurants cook steak to my liking, but now we have found Nellies, and their 'Pepper crusted beef fillet on a potato and bacon lyonnaise', we don't really go to many other places anymore!
Of course, the rest of their offerings are very nice too, and so I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending their fine fare, if you can get in that is!
We live in Mosgiel already, so we are clearly in a privileged position. Happy eating :)

G.I had a great meal here with my steak cooked exactly as I requested. Dessert of apple pie was the best apple pie I have ever eaten. They do not serve Bluff oysters if this is what you want. The meal and dessert for two people with a drink each came in at great value and both were fully satisfied with the quality and quantity.

B.We actually all enjoyed our meals. But when it says one of the vegetables is grilled baby fennel you dont expect tough outer leaves rather than the bulb.
The lemon cheese cake was a hit, but lve never had warm banoffie pie and the apple pie didnt really have enough apple.
The service was fine, and there were lots of other items on the menu we will go back to try.

A.I went to Nellie's yesterday for lunch. I had the Beef filet open sandwich. It was the best Bleu steak I have had in a decade. The whole meal was Devine. The service was outstanding and friendly. Never been before but will make it my go to restaurant everytime I go to Dunedin.
