They have chunky chips!! Great wide cut chips and friendly service. I've tried a number of fish and chip shops across Papamoa and although this is in Mount Maunganui, it's worth the trip to get there. This is now my favourite of all takeaways.

I gave this a bad review a few weeks ago, but I've been back twice since and both times the chips were cooked perfectly and the fish was fresh and smelt great. Obviously my earlier visit was an off day, a bit like we all have sometimes. Original review below Chips were over cooked and cool as thou they cooked them well before the fish was ready

We always get our fish and chips from here after a swim at the beach. Great service, great tasting fresh fish and a very reasonable price. The cooking time is quick so no hanging about waiting. Good range of burgers and extras at fair prices.

Absolutely fabulous! Just discovered this place - Gluten free available Thursdays cooked in a separate vat. Best GF fish and chips I've had in a long time. Great service, excellent food. Thank you. :)

Great service, friendly and fast. Had a fish burger which was amazing with very fresh ingredients. Also ordered some kumara chips which were cooked perfectly (these can easy be cooked incorrectly). Looking forward to my next trip back to Omanu.

This place does Chinese and fish and chips. You can serve yourself with the chinese, or order individual dishes over the counter. It is busy so sometimes you will have to wait. The food is good, but greasy, and reasonably priced. There is plenty of parking, and there is seating inside, but its more for waiting than for eating, so its basically just take away.

Why can't I find a chippie like this closer to home. Awesome totally brilliant. It's not fish and chips trying to be something more than that. It's just fish and chips at there very, very best. Good service to. This is the way to experience kiwiana. By your fish and chips and then walk the 30m to the beach and eat then there. Even got the dairy a couple of doors to get your trumpet after. Only way to improve it would be to serve it in a convertible 70's Ford/Holden convertible station wagon. Must do for mt Manganui.

Fabulously clean and organised chip shop with great menu on a big board that's easy to read with just the right amount of variety. High quality ingredients, great taste, and to top it all off great value for money. $36 for 2 kids and 3 adults

What Constance Danby the woman that complained about (teenage) girls staff being rude was not aware the man in question was very intoxicated and that he had been aggressively making physical and verbal sexual advances towards them.They later had to have him removed by police as he had tried to lunge at one of them so they were nervous of him being there (he came back another day and they had to call police to escort him off premises). Unfortunately this reviewer did not see the previous behaviour by this man who was not a regular and was not only abusive but also frightening to the staff.
