A. R.They have chunky chips!! Great wide cut chips and friendly service. I've tried a number of fish and chip shops across Papamoa and although this is in Mount Maunganui, it's worth the trip to get there. This is now my favourite of all takeaways.
M. C.I gave this a bad review a few weeks ago, but I've been back twice since and both times the chips were cooked perfectly and the fish was fresh and smelt great. Obviously my earlier visit was an off day, a bit like we all have sometimes.

I. S.We always get our fish and chips from here after a swim at the beach. Great service, great tasting fresh fish and a very reasonable price. The cooking time is quick so no hanging about waiting. Good range of burgers and extras at fair prices.

R. T.This place does Chinese and fish and chips. You can serve yourself with the chinese, or order individual dishes over the counter. It is busy so sometimes you will have to wait. The food is good, but greasy, and reasonably priced. There is plenty of parking, and there is seating inside, but its more for waiting than for eating, so its basically just take away.

Good service to. This is the way to experience kiwiana. By your fish and chips and then walk the 30m to the beach and eat then there. Even got the dairy a couple of doors to get your trumpet after. Only way to improve it would be to serve it in a convertible 70's Ford/Holden convertible station wagon. Must do for mt Manganui.

W.What Constance Danby the woman that complained about (teenage) girls staff being rude was not aware the man in question was very intoxicated and that he had been aggressively making physical and verbal sexual advances towards them.They later had to have him removed by police as he had tried to lunge at one of them so they were nervous of him being there (he came back another day and they had to call police to escort him off premises). Unfortunately this reviewer did not see the previous behaviour by this man who was not a regular and was not only abusive but also frightening to the staff.
