Loved the vibe here, very cool to see all the books and how it was integrated into the theme. The pizza were very tasty and well presented in the stacked pizza holder. Super yummy! We also enjoyed the tap beer and cocktails.

Pizza Library is our favorite place in the mount! First off the owners are so friendly, it’s the kind of place you really want to support in the community. Secondly, it’s well deserved! Their pizzas are all so yummy and perfectly made every time. They have a gluten free option which is a big plus for me, and it’s just as tasty! I wouldn’t go anywhere else for pizza - not even tempted to!! We’ve had great experiences for both dine in and takeaway.

There new years eve with our daughter and family. What can I say -- Wonderful staff, so friendly and accommodating. Great entertainment. Fantastic meals. Even bought out a bowl of water for the dog. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back.

Super friendly staff, very helpful If you have celiacs know that they will look after you, just remember to inform your waiter, all equipment and preparation area gets cleaned to prevent cross contamination during food prep

Godfather pizza is yumny! This is a second time we visited here. They were so busy with live music.

Better than any pizza I've had in Australia, and I've eaten a lot of pizza. Pizza does not get better than this. Very cool themed pizza restaurant with a bar completely separate from the pizza shop. Where else can you get a pizza with blue cheese? Nowhere, the answer is nowhere. Check out the pics!

One of the best pizzas I ever had in NZ! Can highly recommend the pizza “peter the rabbit” (?). The atmosphere is very cozy, the staff is super friendly and food is just delicious.

Awesome pizza. Easy to see why everyone I'm Bay of Plenty loves this place! I got the pride and prejudice and it was fantastic. Only criticism (being real finicky here) was that the thyme and cheese were a bit lacking on the starter cheese bread. But otherwise awesome.

Quirky decor with a variety of pizzas on offer (several vego options which is great and from memory offer GF alternative). Came in with high expectations after hearing good things about the food but wasn't blown away. Pizza was satisfying but not delicious.

Toppings are delicious however I found the base just tooooo thin for my liking. The restaurant is very cool, full of character.

Excellent! I have never seen so friendly staff, those people are amazing and the heart of this place. And we had two amazing wood fire pizzas, thin and crispy base with yummy toppings. And the drinks, tap beer or cocktail, all worth a try! Will definitely come back!

Overpriced and food is just a hype. Before starting this bad review I must admit and appreciate their staff was super friendly, attentive and welcoming. Ordered a super expansive pizza which turned out to be a thin, salty, almost cheese less weird tasting pizza. totally waste of money and just a hype. May visit them again for their great ambience and hospitality, but not for food. 0 star for food and 5+ stars for hospitality

Went to the pizza library in the MT last night for tea, I loved the service, the gave us menus straight away, asked us what drinks we wanted once we looked at the menu, and brought them over quickly. Then when we ordered pur pizza it wasn't too long a wait for it. Their pizzas are really good. They came and checked on us to see how our meal was and if there was anything else we needed. Really good place to go to and great atmosphere. Loved the live music too. Definitely will be going there again.

It was my first visit and it was Amazing experience. Yummiest pizza ever. Full of toppings and o could taste every flavour in bite. Curly fries were a hit. Though 16" for 2 was on bigger side for us. Amazing service. Would definitely go again. I am already craving for their 🍕

My family and I recently visited the area for a weekend getaway and we stopped by this place for some pizza. This place by far is one of my favorite pizza places, super fresh and delicious food as well as really good drinks. The owner is very nice and friendly too, will definitely be back! Since moving down to The Bay of Plenty we are in love with our local Pizza Library(Papamoa)! Always greeted with a smile from the groovy team and the pizzas are amazing! Happy lil campers we be!

Fantastic pizza and an absolutely unique atmosphere. You'll be blown away by this well decorated establishment. Lots of thought has gone into the experience you'll receive and to top it off the bar next door is just as great (Vaudeville). For a truly unique dining experience give this place a go!

After reading the google reviews we decided to try The Pizza library. We ordered 4 x 12inch pizzas & Curly fries for 2 adults and 2 teenage girls. The pizzas were the Hamlet, Little woman, The Cat in the Hat & the God Father. Well cooked, bases crispy and thin. Perfect amount of toppings and the right pizza size per person. Curly fries were a hit with the aioli. Would come back here again...Delicious!!

Love the decor. Staff were great. Great pizza. Only problem - we should have ordered 2 because the pizza's are really delicious. I can't wait until they open their new shop on my side of town, we'll definitely be frequent customers.

Anything less than 5 stars is just not right. The beers are cold, fresh and served in a cold glass. The pizzas are crispy and thin with plenty of toppings. They may cost more than your usual pizza chains etc but absolutely worth every bit extra. I had a Popeye (Vege) with no feta and it was one of the best pizzas I've had in my life (and I eat a lot of pizza!) Keep it up folks. If I was staying longer in town I'd be back again and again, but I hope someone else can at least experience the same satisfaction as I did.

We absolutely love going to the Pizza Libray! Mark and the team do an amazing job of making you feel welcomed and offer the most amazing service and delicious pizzas! We love their so much that we used them for our wedding catering 😂

I went here in 2016 and it was the best pizza I've ever eaten in my life! I don't know if they still make it but I remember I had the "Twilight Pizza" it was venison blueberry jam, cheese and kumara! If I didn't live 14,000km away I would go here all the time!

First time takeaways from here.. The Pizza Library staff were kept busy by customers dining in and taking out, clean tidy premises with fun, book-themed decor and manned by friendly, busy staff. Have ordered pizza from here a few times and the pizzas are all named after famous books.

First time I tasted these pizzas I absolutely loved them. Love the unusual names. Every time we do a drive thru to Tauranga we try to coincide with the shop hours. So it's a hit and miss at times. If you love pizzas it's worth the time to go try some yummy yummy!!!

If you ever go to the Mount, and I don't see why you wouldn't, go to The Pizza Library. Some of the best pizza I've had has been at The Pizza Library's Mount Maunganui store. The sauce tastes so fresh and authentic. I really hope these guys expand more, eventually getting up to Auckland. Their pizza could take off here. And hell, I miss it.

Loved this place for the liveliness, friendly quirky service and most importantly, the freshest and most interesting pizzas you can find in the region! The beers are refreshing and you can't miss the very original airplane seats. Great for a night out although the kitchen closes earlier than the bar.

I'm a pizza lover, but if I'm going to eat it it's got to be good! Hence for the last 3 years in the Tauranga /Mt area none have passed my lips. Weird for a lover of pizza. Fortunately that pizza hiatus is over, thanks to The Pizza Library's new owners who have recreated their pizzas. The pizza bases are freshly made and nice and crispy, and the base sauce is really delicious and the rest just tops it off nicely. I've had on average 2 per week for the last couple of months. And the warmth of the new owners and the updated fitout make the whole eating in experience very enjoyable.

We were going to order 18" pizzas which thankfully they had run out of because size 16" pizzas was definitely enough. Excellent service and pizzas were great!!

We had visited The Pizza Library not knowing what to expect - It was incredible!! We tried the unusual pizzas on the menu such as the hunger games and mother India. They were the nicest pizzas I have tried. So tasty and such good value for money! The shop is also an experience in itself. Give it a go!!!

Food is great and so are the staff. The redecorate however has turned the place into nothing short of boring compared to before. The books are mostly gone, ALL the suitcases and fun quirky decor is gone. The great uniforms and top hats and movie theatre seats replaced by cheap and nasty steel stools. Seems the customers are gone too- only 2 other people in the place!

open air setting near The Mount and Sea, along with quirky chairs, tables and friendly staff all compliment the incredible pies they serve. The dough appears fresh, assymetrical and not perfect circles with the bottoms having enough of a satisfying char and bite. the base sauce, not overpowering complimented the toppings of the two pizzas I tried; Catch22 (King salmon, capers, spinach, cream cheese, and mozzarella) and the Peter Rabbit (Mushrooms, spinach, blue cheese, mozzarella and fresh herbs). The flavours combine beautifully, none so overpowering. Having a chat to the owners, they cater to coeliacs, vegetarians and vegans, opting to switch cheese for a hummus swirl which we tried on half of the Catch22 - delightful and adding a different depth to flavour nonetheless.

You have to visit this place. Quirky and very interesting with damn good pizza

Flavoursome thin crust pizza with a wide range of toppings. Generous size pizzas (think American sizing). "James and the giant peach" was out pick of the recipes. I wouldn't order kumara fries or curly fries again. Far too expensive for the paltry serving.

Excellent KETO pizza. Best pizza actually I have ever had. Only eating establishment in Mt Maunganui that had KETO food, other than scrambled eggs, bacon and the like.

Great vibe. Quirky. Good service and great sides. Pizza is interesting and although not the best out there, the combination of the entire place makes for a good spot.

Our trip to the mount is always ended with a visit to the pizza library-this became a tradition. Disappointingly that ended today...The quirky vibe is gone, the decor and funky uniforms gone too. The pizza we were assured was the same, however this standard has dropped dramatically too-dry pizza with less toppings and cheese that isn’t even melted. Heart broken... 💔

I love the 18 inch Oliver pizza with additional Anchovies. It's simply delicious and reminds me of the original pizzas I had in Italy way back in the 60s. Just one note, they only open at 5 PM.

Always nice and always my go to place for a meal when in town. Crispy thin homemade dough base and Vegetarian pizza veganised for me with hummus and parmesan cheese in lieu of dairy cheese. Just missed the live music but friendly conversation with locals and a nice drink made up for that. See you next visit.

Disappointed. Expensive - $20 for a 3 topping thin crust pizza. Place felt like it needed a good clean including the glass on the doors. Couldn't fault the service. Friendly staff.

I asked for a large pizza and that is what I received. I was greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome. My pizza was very nice and tasty. With plenty of topping on top. The shop was both warm and friendly.

Amazing tasting pizza. The sides we ordered were fries and calamari. Fries were too oily, calamri was floury. Add a waiting time of 1 hr to get the two pizzas was ridiculous!!

Best pizza in Tauranga by far. Very friendly staff, fair prices. The passion ginger mocktail is very good, as well as the treasure island pizza. Definitely worth popping in if you’re passing through Tauranga.

We fancied a quick dinner rather then a full sit down meal so found this. We got the Pinocchio which was lovely and thin and tasty. Its really querky and the staff were wearing boller hats. Was busy as well which is always a good sign. Would go again.

Quirky place, outside seating in strange seats but above all, amazing pizzas. And be careful, they are large. I had The Bible and am so glad I have plenty for breakfast tomorrow morning, yum yum.

Indubitably the most attractive pizza store I have ever seen. More charm than professor Flitwick's NEWT exam. Mostly takeaway. Sadly no inside tables, but a couple of tables on the pavement. Pizzas are huge and varied. A real gem.

Wow, loved it , dinner at the pizza library, ice cold beer and wine, lovely atmosphere , mouthwatering pizza on a thin crispy base ( like the colonel they aint giving away their secret either ) was so good we took one home for lunch tommorow, however the night is still young it may not get there !

we ordered the Grilled Fish with Salads, and Grilled Fish with Kumara Miso Mash and Broccolini - the fish of the day was Kingfish, and it was perfectly cooked. I was pleased with the portion sizes and for $23 and $26 respectively, both dishes were reasonably priced. The Kumara Miso Mash was also a highlight

Best Artisan Pizza I've Ever Had! I can officially say that I drove to the Mount especially to eat at The Pizza Library. If you don't mind the wait it'll be well worth it.

My FAVOURITE pizza ever, can’t go past the Bible pizza with some Chilli oil - to die for!!

I enjoyed the Vegetarian pizza (I think it was called Jungle Book?). If the girl at counter acknowledged as I walked in to pick-up my Pizzas and not being busy on her smartphone then it would be a 5 star.
