Great place for authentic cantonese/Hong Kong fair
Epic roast pork and Peking duck order in the morning or day before for best quality and avaliability.
Spicy calamari is a favorite here and Chinese broccoli and beef.
Wonton soup is a must have for lunch delicious.
Good beer and wine range.
Beware, ensure you book ahead, limited space and service can be stretched, can be very busy.
A.We were in Napier for holiday and went to this restaurant/takeaway 3 days in a row! Food was consistently good even when it was super busy -full house + customers waiting for takeaways. May not be a great place for a speedy feed during dinner rush. Roast duck and wok fried beef/pork are top-notch! We will definitely go back!
D.Ordered Chicken Chow Mein, Egg Fried rice and Sweet n Sour Pork. Loved the Egg Fried rice the Sweet n sour pork was Ok but the Chicken Chow Mein was Bland. No flavour. !!!
G.Good delicious Chinese food but the quantity of the meat is not satisfactory compared to other Chinese outlets. Really liked the taste - it's definitely yummy and different. but coz of the quantity it's only a 3*. Had lot of veges in my combo meal but unfortunately very little meat....

K.The food here is absolutely delicious and the service is great. Don't be put off by the exterior. Would definitely return. Don't worry about the less than favourable reviews below. They have addressed those issues. The best Chinese food we have had in ages.
R.Good food and classic waitress :) they have crispy duck and pork belly but randomly its not available all the time. We were told roast duck is after 6:30 and pork belly after 7:30. I don't know what that's about, but otherwise it was great.
G.Both takeaway and dine in offer the nicest, most authentic and best value for money Chinese in Napier. The usual things to look for in a international cuisine restaurant is nationals dining there, and at Delight Plus, they are plentiful. Not a fan of the rice and often the service can seem a bit off, but they are all lovely people once you "get to know them". We've been there multiple times over the years and continue to enjoy the consistency, and that's what keeps most places going. That's likely why they've been there for longer than I can remember.
However, a few words of advice. If you're in a hurry it's not the best place, or order ahead if you have a menu handy, as they prioritise takeaway rather than diners which to me is the only real blot on the landscape.
V.The best Chinese food I have had. Their beens are just amazing. You might not think much of a place from the outside, but it's definitely a gem. Make sure you make a reservation in the evening, because the tables get booked out.
M.The food was very fast and pretty good. The place does not look much but the good food makes up for the run down restaurant. Staff were really friendly and allowed us to take doggie bags, it is also byo. The air con filters need a good clean, menu is pretty extensive

Delight is the most understated best of the best pure Chinese Moms Kitchen ever. and the staff are like shadows there and the food is the star Pure Delight.
M.If you are looking for style, chic and top service in an elegant trendsetting restaurant... this definitely is not the one for you. But if you want to taste the best Chinese food in Hawke's Bay bar none, give it a go.
s.A genuine southern Chinese restaurant. Have to give the chef a couple of days if you want Peking duck, everything is made from scratch per order, using traditional methods and no short cuts. It's worth the wait if you want to taste REAL Chinese, which is hard to find these days even in China.
