D.Loved this place for breakfast. Very good service and very good tasting meals. Nice vibe.
D.We were in Napier for the weekend and this place was recommended to us by our AirBnB hosts. There was a short queue for a table but we waited less than 5 minutes. We were shown to a table and given menus. It was quite busy and you could tell the staff were a bit under the pump but they were still friendly and welcoming. The food was tasty and the coffee was pretty good too. If I was in town I would come again.

Beautiful food and very reasonable pricing.
Obviously a popular place for dining, and easy to see why.

E.Really good cafe with great and not your typical breakfast options. I had the hangover fried rice which was a bit like a bibimbap.. so tasty, fresh and filling! Coffee is great and service is lovely. You can’t go wrong!
R.Cafe was off the industry area, close to the city. Food was not bad but choices are limited. Nice outdoor area

M.Tasty food and textured decor. In and outdoor seating. We had soup and it was tasty but portion small and noodles not cooked enough. When asked how was the food I mentioned this but nothing was said and waitress seemed annoyed.

S.The food and coffee was good. No big breakfast on the menu though! Weird large "welcome" art which looks out of place. Biggest gripe was that when we walked in, one of the wait staff told us to sit anywhere we liked, so we did. Then another waiter made us move because we had not sat at a "two-person" table. This was totally unnecessary because they were not busy at all and the table we had originally sat down at never had any customer at it the whole time we were there. Without this unnecessary controlling behaviour from the one waiter, I would've given more stars.

Z.Four stars purely for the chocolate brioche - it was amazing! Unfortunately the place was slammed and we couldn’t be seated to try the menu as other tables were reserved.

Gave lunch a try few weeks later. Well over priced for what was served. Waitress forgot to come take order after menus were given out. Pretty poor. Will eat here again but only for breakfast

J.Beautiful food - however service not so gd - had to ask for the menus then took forever to come take our order. Not a good look when the waitress was standing talking to kitchen staff whilst customers are waiting for orders to be taken.
D.We had a bit of a family lunch there; six siblings and some spouses (spice??). Anyway, my chorizo soup was spicy and delicious. Prices probably above average but good value. Good menu items and coffee.

M.Very kind staff helped me out with a very random request to make my partners birthday a special day. I called from Wellington to ask them to take some cake to his table as he was up for work and by himself on his birthday. They went the extra mile and found a candle, went of there way to say happy birthday and then gave the cake as complimentary to his brunch. My partner said the cake was tasty, eggs benney was also good with good rosti! And wifi was good enough to sustain a decent video call for an hour of his AVL birthday brunch. :)

So Great to see an excellent selection of tummy friendly foods looking after V, DF, GF diets.
Bar made lemon/lime and bitters was on point as was the service and attentiveness of the staff.
T TY air time to enjoy the chilled atmosphere and indoor/outdoor seating to suit the seasons.
We will be back and hey, the coconut milk mocha ❤️👍🏽
B.Pleasant ambience in renovated commercial building. Experienced waiting times for service and food in pre-lunch sitting. Staff pleasant. Food standard not quite up to our previous visit but ok.
N.Initially I gave a bad review from some bad service, but when returning on a quieter day, it was a really nice experience. Great coffee, nice vibe. Definitely visiting again
S.Absolutely fantastic. Warm welcome on entry and speedy service. We ordered the pulled pork on potato rolls with poached eggs and it was incredible. The place seems like it has a nice family friendly vibe too so young families should check it out.
4.Good food, but pretty stale service
K.Awesome lunch experience! Our party of five arrived later in the afternoon after the lunch service, just after the kitchen had closed. They kindly reopened the kitchen and served the best pulled pork, the best cakes and gave us the BEST service! Thoroughly recommend.

F.We had the hangover fried rice with 5 spice duck and a fried egg. We weren’t hung over, but this dish was certainly food for the soul... pleeeeeease don’t ever take this off your menu as I’ll be back for this again. Our family of four dined at Smith’s twice in the last few weeks, and were delighted it is back to its usual delicious self with great service having had a disappointing experience a few months back.
G.Good service but a touch pricey for what you get, although the meatballs were very tasty. Was at peak lunch time so had to sit at a metal desk which was cold and stools were too tall so our legs couldn't fit under the table.
J.Near perfect cafe experience. Had a breakfast and coffee with the family. Food was wonderful, and tasted amazing. Coffee was served in a glass, which was slightly inconvenient as it was hot to the touch. Otherwise this is a great spot in Ahuriri you should definitdly check out!

A.Best coffee we had in napier. The food is a little hit and miss - good savoury muffins, however the sausage rolls are so full of fennel seeds that you can't taste anything else.
P.Usually excellent but on my last visit, the woman gave me a menu but forgot to follow up to yake me order! They weren't busy with people either.

L.Consistantly good, recommend Smith's for its good food and professional service/staff. The only thing I'd suggest is that Smith's place soup spoons for chowder than dessert spoons otherwise fab!
