b.The beef brisket was delish. Was there cinnamon on the fries tho. Can't say I'm a big fan. A little too much seasoning for me. Cook time was good so I didn't have to wait long. I would like to see what the rest of the menu provides. Would happily return for a dine in meal. Friendly happy staff

T.We really enjoyed our dinner here last night - food was delicious and staff were very friendly. There was a great atmosphere in there which you don't really get with most places. Was great to see enthusiastic staff that we're passionate about delivering a great service to their customers. The dinning style of this restaurant is to order dishes to share, so we got the fried chicken to share (which was really good and not drenched in oil) the raw fish (snapper was really fresh) and a taco to try (tasty but could have had more sauce for my liking, but that's just me) and also got the chips and guacamole (all the guac needed imo was some lime juice) then for desert we got the baked custard. Omg it was amazing! Would highly recommend going here. Best Mexican Ive had in Napier.
M.My husband and I had a date there a few weeks ago. The food was delicious. The service was outstanding. There was one particular server who had the best attitude. She was high diving her team, had the best smile and you could tell was loving her job. Whatever it is you are doing with your staff, keep it up.

C.Greeted at the door by casual and friendly staff who showed me to a table and whilst I waited for the rest of my group to arrive, brought me some water which they put in old tequila bottles. Needless to say, when my group arrived some were shocked to find me what appeared to be large glasses of neat tequila... But not super shocked.
The decor is lovely, very welcoming and rustic whilst being true to the Mexican theme. Had a couple of classic margaritas, as standard they came over ice with salt rims, AS THEY SHOULD BE. They were truly delicious.
The menu is large and catered for everyone at the table, including me, a vegan. A few options for me to choose from, all sounded great. I had the nachos but found the jackfruit a little bland. Someone else at the table had the vegan quesadillas and said they were amazing.
Really nice to have more than one vegan option. Lovely attentive staff. Good food. Great drinks and atmosphere.
G.I'd have to say that this is one of the best mexican food places I've visited in NZ. We were welcomed by the very helpful and friendly staff. We ordered several tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and later, churros for dessert. All were brilliant and delicious. I would highly recommend the fish taco special and the quesadillas/tacos with the perfectly cooked pulled pork. As far as drinks go, I would highly recommend the jalapeno margarita which complemented every dish so nicely and was extremely refreshing. Whether you are passing through Napier or are a local, it's important that you visit Mamacita.
M.Very impressed with the atmosphere, friendly service, and of course the food. Highly recommend you start with a Si Mamacita Marguerita and move on to the Calamares, Fried Chicken, Braised Beef Brisket Quesidilla, and most importantly the Pescado Soft Shell Taco. So tasty. Will be back.

D.Great food and excellent service. Very friendly waitstaff. Fried chicken was a must and the Carolina reaper hot sauce is legit. Baked custard with caramel sauce for desert was amazing.
G.Very expensive for the small portions. Way too much salt on the waffle fries, not much to the meals that I found myself hungry as my $18 main was more an entree.
Waitress also took away my waffle fries that I hadn't finished, not a good sign.
As for the drinks, $6 for a glass that was mainly ice!
Would we go back? Probably not unless the portions get much larger.
s.Casual dining in the sharing Mexican style. Good menu with plenty of choice. All the dishes we had were very good. The atmosphere is good providing a fun dining experience. The staff are friendly and the service is fine. Well worth a try.

m.Terrific atmosphere, decor and staff. A great buzz. Had a quesadilla which wasn't very exciting, and needed a bit of onion, parsley & lemon relish or something like it for contrast. Just a quibble, still a great place.

H.Chicken is amazing. The raw fish is amazing and fresh, the ribs were fresh tasting , not like they were sitting there pre cooked for days. And soooo tender. Tortilla chips and guac are so good, guac seasoned with salt and lime to perfection. Would be amazing to have the option to buy a slaw or something and burrito wraps on the side so you can create your own burritos as the burritos are quite expensive for what you get. Jalapeño margarita is a must try

J.Just came for a margarita. I had the Mamacita It was delicious and unique. It is a sweet margarita, not the traditional tangy style. It is rimmed with a cinnamon/sugar mix, although I couldn't taste the cinnamon.
p.Fantastic staff, fantastic service, their fried chicken with the no.1 culleys sauce is to die for and the atmosphere is top notch (especially if you're a fan of Frida Kahlo)
