R.We ordered pork with preserved vegetables noodles & beef brisket noodles. I loved the pork and preserved vegetables noodles. Both dishes had a generous portion of meat and the broth was flavourful. I wished that there were more pickled vegetables in the dish but besides that it was really good.

I.Very good food for fair price. They have a take away buffet or you can sit in the more fancy looking area where the food is still very affordable. I can recommend the chicken curry.

J.After trying about 6 Chinese restaurants over a period of a year since our move to Nelson we have finally found our new home for quality takeaway! I recommend their chicken fried rice with some extra spice added, the chicken & vege with cashews added, the deep fried lemon fish and their sweet and sour pork. Faultless is our review - from a very picky panel who can cook most things better than most people at home. Great value and even better taste. 5 Stars from us! See you again soon...

C.We loved this place. The food was delicious with large portions that we could share. Total bill was a trifle expensive though but we did take our own wine and I have no idea what was charged for corkage. Staff were lovely and service very efficient. We will definitely be back.
i.I always love asian takeaway so this place is my go to since the sweet and sour pork has that crunch and they do a well cooked fuyung that doesnt send me to the toilet straight away. 5 star for sure.

B.Probably the best Chinese food you'll find in the whole of Nelson. Young Chow fried rice is just like it would taste at a dim sum restaurant as well as the sweet and sour pork and noodles etc. Whether your dining in or take out, the customer service here is good and they make you feel welcomed and looked after. Wish we had this place and service in Auckland.

J.The New Asia Restaurant situated between Trafalgar Street and Collingwood Street, in Hardy Street Nelson is very popular with their Smorgasbord Meals. Lunchtime Service is between 11.30 am, and 1.30 pm, with Dinner Service between 5pm to Late.
As mentioned above The New Asia Restaurant has a Smorgasbord Meal Service where you help yourself to as much as you like. The meal prices range from $5.90 for a small size plate, $8.90 for a medium size plate and $11.90 for a large size plate.
They also have Small, Medium, and, Large plastic containers for take aways if you prefer to have a takeaway. The New Asia Restaurant also has a Licensed Bar where you can purchase Alcohol Beverage if you want, or you can have fizzy drinks or coffee if you aren't into Alcohol.
If you are wondering why you have to serve yourself, don't panic as there is a cashier to welcome you onto the premises.
All in all, The New Asia Restaurant is a very well laid place with awesome decor, with Mens and Womens Bathrooms. The only down side is, if you are planning to dine there make sure you go as group, as it could be a very lonely and quiet day in the office, oh sorry it could be a very lonely time eating on your own.
But please don't be put off by that, as there are some people who prefer to dine on their own as I had to on this particular day.
