J.Their seafood chowder was amazing!! Creamy and rich! Got a great service from Paula too☺️
S.The people here are really nice and friendly, a comfortable seated restaurant facade but really just a good fish n chip shop out back. The “seafood restaurant” averaging around $30 to almost $40 per main is a bit far fetched. I ordered the speciality fish which was snapper crumbed and it was thin, fried for quite a while I was trying to work out if it was actually snapper. My wife ordered the chowder but it didn’t taste very fresh and I suspect was just made from frozen marinara mix. Bit disappointed we paid seafood restaurant prices for a nice place to eat fish n chips.

R.We had such a crazy experience here! We came for a bite to eat the night after we got married. Unfortunately there wasn't too much my partner could have off of the menu as he is gluten free but we got a couple of small things and some drinks. When the owner found out we had just got married and there was a moment when we were the only people in the restaurant he played our first dance song on full blast. It was a pretty cool experience for us and we got to hold hands and relive the day we'd had. Definitely something we will remember ❤️

T.If your in a hurry and starving then just be patient! The wait is well worth it! Great service, friendly staff & above all Fantastic Food! I have been lucky enough in life to have tried Snapper from Kaitaia to Bluff and this was The best ever! Fresh, cooked perfect and beautiful batter! Resonable prices on menu, good sized portion (little more chips would of been nice because they were so yummy & hand made!) So overall very much enjoyed!!!

A.The staff are wonderful and very helpful with the menu. Explained all the options in detail for salads and how you can have your fish/seafood cooked. The meals were extremely tasty and well proportioned. Highly recommend stopping here if you are ever in New Plymouth. Diffenitly will be back next time am passing thru.

D.Owner treats my 89 year old nan like a queen. Food is great and presented nicely. Pleasant and unpretentious if a bit loud when full. Really popular at peak times so make a reservation.
r.Beauty fish meals, crumbed blue cod thumbs up, battered snapper lovely, shrimp cocktail nice portion great taste, yummy baked cheesecake nice way to wrap it up, finally the pinot gris $13/glass just completed everything!!!

J.Currently top of my list for best restaurant in New Plymouth. Baked Salmon is a must if you love fish. Great service. We had a vegan at our table and they cooked a special meal for her and she commented it was the best vegan meal she had ever had.
T.Friendly staff and prompt service. There is a reason this restaurant has been around since 1927, they have some of the best sources of first class seafood. Be in quick or make a booking as this place gets packed most nights with loyal diners. This is a great place to bring your kids, spoil them with one of Marinovich's delicious desserts.
M.It's really nice and healthy food. We ordered tarakihi, red cod and snapper fish. Everything taste delicious there even chips. The owner and his wife are very friendly, will love to go back there.
T.We had a business dinner here with clients two years ago. The owner promised us the best fresh cut square chips we would ever taste and he wasn't wrong. Two years later and ppl are still talking about that meal! I can't think of any other restaurant that rates like that! Definitely one for the bucket list.

P.My wife & I came here on a Wednesday evening for an Anniversary occasion because of the seafood. Absolutely loved it. Oysters and whitebait fritter entrees, flounder and battered fish of the day (blue maomao) plus we shared a passionfruit and lime baked cheesecake. My wife is still raving about the dessert and the meal generally. With a couple of glasses of wine each, bill was $160. Excellent all round. We highly recommend Marinovich's

Order your takeaways and then sit and have a wonderful gin while you way.
It is truly life changing, you will never order takeaway fish'n'chips the same way again, and to top it all off, it was the best fish'n'chips we have ever had.
It really was that good.
