A.Hosts started the night with a huge welcome and the night improved from there. Wanted an Italian experience and left with no complaints. Lasagne was fantastic as was every dish served. Meals were beautifully timed to allow a really positive experience. Will definitely return.

B.food was delicious, drinks were a miss. Wait times are huge, seating & space is compact. However the reason for losing 2 star is the service. It seems their service and hospitality is designated to their regular and family visitors only.

H.A good place for dinner if you like Italian food. As an entry we had Spaghetti marinara with sea food, then the fish of the day and tiramisu. All very tasty, not extrairdinary, though. The Service is very friendly, however, as a foreigner it was hard to understand their accent. The repeated all sentences many times with patience. All in all it can be recommended.
Q.Amazing menu and very friendly staff, Really good and highly trained chefs,. Food is perfect and I'm never disappointed. Highly recommend if you travel to Taranaki.
B.By far the best place in New Plymouth and very highly rated in my own favorite restaurants around the world, genuine Italian family food, great hospitality, lovely atmosphere with Frank Sinatra playing in the background, top of the line Food and and Drinks.
I've been to Italy 4 times and this place was a little taste from Europe and Italy. Honestly forgot I was in New Zealand for a brief moment. Go give it a try I promise you won't be disappointed.

j.Aside from the wait times between meals. Absolutely delicious!! 😍 Every order on our table had something different, and everyone was super stoked with what they got. From entrees to dessert. Service was great. Atmosphere is cosy. They have a takeaway service if you're not into dining in for the night.
X.One of the Top 3 places to dine in or take out in New Plymouth, the food is amaz-balls and the people are awesome with friendly faces. I recommend the Fettuccine. 10/10 everytime my partner and I have been.

L.Our food was excellent: an antipasto to start, seafood risotto for my partner and grilled calamari for me. Tasty and good portion sizes. The restaurant seems very dark on entry but your eyes gradually adjust and then it seems just right. It was busy enough on a Thursday night not to feel alone, nor too crowded. There are some interesting Italian wines available by both glass and bottle. Warning - the white Sangria is very sweet!

H.While travelling through New Plymouth NZ, have just had the most sensational Italian food I've experienced in a long time. Food and Service were exceptional, as were the staff. Can highly recommend this restaurant as the place to eat in New Plymouth.

Food was wonderful, chef not afraid of big flavours, which we loved, & as good Italian food should be.
Service was very attentive & friendly. Price was good, wine list really good, plenty to choose from.
And even though 2 of us wanted a dish that on the menu had no meat in it, when we asked for them to add a chicken breast it was not a problem. Thank you guys.
Wonderful food, wonderful people, we'll definitely be back, & definitely spread the word.

D.Spaghetti carbonara was well cooked, sauce was nice, ham was undercooked and excessive . Staff were lovely. But having eaten at many countries this basic meal was average at its best

b.looking forward to a lovely meal out for 35th wedding anniversary a treat as I always
cook for everyone and am a real foodie. Turned into a disappointing evening, my meal
came chicken cacciatore and couldnt hardly cut the chicken breast, my husband had
a ok meal with a entree and main and was finished,I sent meal back to kitchen, and waitress
came back with an apology....she was very nice, said would I like to re order...I was pretty
over it by then and said no... the establishment didnt offer a free wine or a free replaced meal
which I thought was pretty poor.sorry Portofino you are lovely people but seem to be worrying
more about the till than the customer.

Pricing seemed a little steep for the location but as a tourist it's unclear if that is typical of the region.
