Parini makes an amazing Fried Bread Burger. The bun is a freshly made dough that has been deep fried, a Maori delicacy . Home made Beef patties from local beef. It tastes really good.

As a roadside burger joint in a fairly isolated location, this is ideal! The burgers were amazingly good. Brioche buns and tasty fresh salad and yummy sauces. The wedges looked crispy and fully loaded. There are picnic tables with umbrellas, service was quick for us considering it was freshly cooked, and lovely people too. They have Pay Wave.

The food was really good however the 15min wait ended up a 45 minute wait. Also, there was a lady there who very aggressively told people that dogs were not allowed, turning away whole families (it happened twice in the time we were sitting there). However, there was no signage and so how were people supposed to know? They could have a few places for people to tether their dogs and have bowls of water for the dogs too. That way everyone knows what to do and it will have a more positive vibes.

OMG the burgers were epic, this place is well worth the stop on your travels. Plenty of room for parking, enjoy your food at a picnic table or on the grass with lovely views, also toilets nearby to use. Staff were great as well, we had car fuel trouble and were helped out by the family which was very much appreciated. I will stop again.

Between Mokau and Tongaporutu is this delightful little burger bar set amongst beautiful native bush just back from the shoreline. The burgers are delicious and the customer service is excellent. I would recommend this place to eat and relax. Quiet peaceful and pretty..will always stop here now on our travels.

Was here for the sights and sounds of Tongaporutu and while we waited for low tide, enjoyed some coffee and ice cream from one half of the outdoor, pop-up cafe. Hours later (after an unforgettable beach experience) we then grabbed supper. Truth be told I wasn’t expecting much and after some phenomenal meals in NZ, I was blown away with just how good the fish and burgers were! Sometimes the best experiences are simple ones and they’ve nailed it.
