The roasted Cauliflower entrée was really tasty with a bit of a bite. Fish of the day fantastic & the pizza so flavourful & the dough fantastic, nothing like the franchise pizza places! Great view & staff as a bonus 👌

Subtle flavour, perfect crust. And a beer while watching the surf is not too bad either. Staff are Kiwi friendly.

A. H.OMFG! A wonderful little place looking out on Taranaki's black sands. We ordered 2 plates: market fish and the 48 hr short ribs paired with the local XPA. Both plates were well balanced and delicate whilst being just right in terms of amount. The kingfish medallions were seared and perfectly medium-rare, paired with capers, egg whites and other deliciousness. The ribs were beautifully tender and well balanced and presented. So, so good. Happy face.
C. P.A fantastic pizza place that produces exceptional authentic italian pizza. The tables inside are well spaced giving a very pleasant ambiance. The deck directly overlooks the ocean which is one of the most pleasant feels any restaurant can offer. Highly recommended to all locals and travelers. I personally had the salmone and loved it. The Chef and staff are really friendly and will welcome you to have a chat if you feel like it, especially if you want to hear the story behind the name of the pizza Salmone!

M. H.Wow, simply blown away by the hospitality, location and food! Our first time in Oakura, and a gentle walk on the beachfront led us to this superb pizzeria and bistro. Martin is a master pizza craftsman and the staff were second to none with their service and friendliness. Although not locals, we were treated and welcomed as family and they even volunteered to take turns with our 5 month old while we ate! Thanks team.

M.Food was impeccable and delicious however I have several recommendations re the overall experience: we booked a table in advance but were advised not long after we arrived that we were on a time limit as our table was booked another lot of guests. This is discourteous and we should have been told this when we booked the table initially. Instead of sending a waitress to tell us a manager or senior staff should have delivered message. Chairs need padding and couple of ceiling fans are needed.

N. C.This restaurant has a great view of the ocean, there are plenty of healthy food options and everything is for a fair price. The fish was delicious and the garlic bread was so good that we considered ordering several plates of it!
They also do takeaway so you can order from home and go pick it up.
It is right on the beach and across the road from a playground and skatepark meaning that you can easily go and relax or play on the beach or at the park after or before eating.
The staff are friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean. I think the blueprints of boats on the walls make great decorations.
M. M.Food was packed full of flavour. Best food we have eaten in years! We arrived without a booking and were given the option of sitting outside. Stunning views but unfortunately the wait staff weren't informed so there was a lengthy delay without any service. Once this was rectified (we went inside to find out what was happening) service was great. Long queues out the door observed for the two hours we were there. Recommend you book to eat in or phone your takeaway order ahead of arriving. One person processing takeaway orders and receiving payments for dine-in customers didn't seem to be enough.

Enjoyed some local beers too ( rocky point XPA) and all in all it was a great evening
Was made to feel very welcome and wait staff did a great job ensuring we were well looked after

N. L.Amazing pizza and fries, friendly but hopeless service! Waited a long time to get menus / order taken / get food. Had to chase up stuff quite a few times, order was just 2 drinks, 2 pizzas 1 chips, took about 2 hours 😆 But waitresses were lovely and food worth the looong wait.

They were great at catering for our dietary requirements.
We had 3 people in our group who could not have dairy so while booking we inquired about dairy free options - the restaurant said that they would try to do their best to get vegan cheese. A bit later they notified me that they managed to get vegan cheese for our group.

R. B.Great care in dough preparation and a fine selection of authentic imported ingredients make these pizzas some of the best I have ever tasted. Wrap this up in a good drinks selection and an amazing view and you have a perfect place to head out to.
Particularly impressed with the chef personally ensured that our meals suited our dietary requirements and spent time explaining the ingredients to us passionately!

J. T.Loved it. We had brunch. Really helpful staff. Great food. The view is spectacular. We were staying in New Plymouth and it was a very short drive to get to this cafe. Thoroughly recommended. Coffee was also very good. We had 2 each, and we are Wellington coffee snobs!
Food was fresh and delicious. It wasn't too busy when we arrived but quickly filled up. Food arrived quite quickly.
P. L.The coffee was great- as always. However we were disappointed with the smaller menu, and especially that the Eggs Benedict had been removed from the menu. We drove out especially to have these.
The reason given was they were taking too much time to make all the eggs - obviously eggs benny are a best seller, so why would you remove it from your menu?
Pizza bases were not at all crispy.
You have lost customers after today sorry.

C. T.Disappointed. Took half an hour and my prosciutto and mushroom pizza was a bit burnt underneath and soggy on top. The prosciutto was cheap shaved ham. My husband got the carne pizza and toppings were very sparse, same deal with the ham.
