G.Hi everyone, highly recommend lunch special (11.00-2.00 any day including wkends) at Mumbai Chef in Orewa. Fantastic choice of yummy curries and naan bread for 12 bucks! Wonderful service & friendly owner with his wife.
K.Best, generous amount and quality food they serve. They make a really nice curry only service is poor. I had best Chilli cheese Naan so far in nz. Never seen such a generous amount of cheese in Naan 👌👌 that u find similar in pizza.
D.It's the very best Indian Cuisine on the Coast. Their Jalfrezie is my go to And their naan bread is fresh and just about the best I've tried whether I was eating out in Ireland , England , Scotland or Australia.Indian food is my go to, so Im lucky that Mumbai Chef is only around the corner , never leave guys you're the best 🏆💯

K.Amazing food here, great authentic flavours, the focus is food with a modest setting and no liquor licence they were busy to the door with 20 dining in and numerous takeaways. Their garlic cheese nan fantastic side to delicious curry's. Also price is affordable $16 mains for dine in, $10 takeaways at lunch time. Don't miss adding this as a regular haunt for Orewa.

a.Hands down the best Indian you will find over the shore and the coast. Ordered indo Chinese was exactly what you would get in Mumbai!! Definitely going to be our regular. Thank you Mumbai chef!! Also order pick up was very timely!
Q.My wife and me just had a lovely meal at this spotlessly clean restaurant. The service is very attentive and genuine. All the food is freshly prepared by a genuine Mumbai chef and is simply excellent and very reasonably priced. This is not a fancy place but anyone who makes the effort to find it at the back of the shopping court will be rewarded with food to remember.

The bad: ordinary taste, no option for "Indian hot", veges seemed to be frozen.
Worth a try, but don't expect any taste sensations.
E.My partner posted on hibiscus coast fb page a wee while ago asking for recommendations of a good Indian restaurant and this got the most likes so tonight we decided to have a curry night and sure enough it gets the 5 stars it deserves, walked in was greeted with aa smile and the food was divine we had the family combo which 2 Currys, 1.5L bottle, 2 samosa Naan and rice, butter chicken and goat curry was to spot on. Great service and happy tummys we will be returning

D.My litmus test for an Indian takeaway is to order the butter chicken.
Unlike the bland cream dish most kiwi's are familiar with - on request, the chef made the REAL THING, an authentic butter chicken in a flavorsome spicy tomato based curry. Best I've had in a while.
I was also offered a free butter naan as they have just opened in Orewa.
If you crave a curry, don't waste your time going anywhere else!
Can't wait to sample the rest of the menu...

The chefs Dishes of full bodied Indian flavours infused with love is a tribute to Mumbai’s cuisine.
