Well here's a honest review in Carl's Jr The food even though it was cold, it was pretty yummy with a exception. Would have been much taster if it was hot. When we went in there we where the ONLY and I mean the ONLY customers when we ordered. So no reason for cold kai. A bit disappointing really given the fact that I had Heard great things about Carl's Jr. I skoffed a Jim beam boubon burger and it was good, but and however the lettuce was basic and I wouldn't feed it to my neighbours rabbit... BUT they have these really cool basins to wash your hands before and after having a feeding.

Great place for when you really feel the need for an American style burger I guess. The customer service varies, and the food freshness seems to vary as well, sometimes you’ll get a great hot and fresh nicely made burger and sometimes you’ll get a semi warm sloppily made burger that doesn’t seems to have been drained from the grease at all. They do seem to get the order correct more often than McDonald’s though.

Best burgers ever, travel from Wellington to Palmerston North for this Restaurant. Delicious food and good value. Unfortunately service is lacking though when dining in. Servers can take quite a while to greet you and act like you are not even there.

Food was well cooked and good service, plenty of convenient parking available.

The all star meal for $11 .99 is great value, enough for two people really 😂 Chips are real tasty potatoes, and chunky, drink station is a free refill if you are still thirsty... good setting and EXCELLENT SERVICE, they bring the meal to your table. Plenty of parking, an there is a good drive thru if thats what you prefer. Food is fantastic an a good selection. Just had a thick shake, was excellent/delicious

As usual best burgers. Fries are so good. Cheese and mince on chips are one of our favorite. The new jalapeño bites are new favorites.

I have said this soooooo many times, Wellington NEEDS a Carls Jnr 😔 such a long way to travel, but when we do have Carls Jnr - definitely make the most of it.

Great that they asked and checked vaccine pass, but tables were not cleaned and when the did bring my meal, the seen the mess but did nothing. Chips were not hot. The staff were friendly through and the service was good...even if it was not "fast'.

Food was good but service was pretty slow. No one behind the counter was moving with any urgency considering the line was out the door and the car park was blocked by cars waiting to get into the Drive Thru lane.

Wow just figured out they do all burgers as a low carb option. For those on Keto it is a game changer. The staff are always so helpful and friendly too. My food was at my table before I was. Very impressive 😊 Great service and fast too.

$46 for 2x burgers, drinks & fries... I guess that's what you get when you make changes to the standard large combo? I don't eat fast food all that often; and, I have to say that when I finished this meal (almost), I just thought, Hmmm, wish I hadn't done that!

This goes out to every single man and woman in that sacred store we all call Carl’s Jr. That big Angus double combo was single handedly thee most well constructed burger i have ever had the privilege of devouring. A perfectly orchestrated combination of bread, meat and cheese, simply fantastic. I wanted to savour every bite, but I couldn’t. So beautifully crafted I could not resist. 12/10 Unreal

Always worth a visit. Super tasty, juicy burgers with hand cut fries. Love the choice on the menu. Can't be found anywhere else. Lovely clean restaurant and toilets in Palmerston North branch.

Super fast and friendly service, admittedly some of the burgers are a little overprice but overall love them. If you want a burger that has nice, quality ingredients it's the place to go, verses other fast food chains that have far less tasty and nice food.

My last rating was a 4, but sadly the restaurant this time was dirty. Floor and walls greasy. The tables were being cleared but the place was not clean. I also didn't get the burger I paid for, the criss cut fries soggy. Very underwhelming for a "better" burger chain, and definitely not worth the money this trip. Uncertain I would recommend it until they get back to standards

Today I had a very good customer service experience at Carl's Jr. in Palmerston North. After misunderstanding the advisement which showed a really nice burger from $5, I ordered a few of it but then I had the surprise that the burguer which is $5 is a very basic one and not the one on the big advertisement. Ben who was managing the drive-through orders had the patience to stop and explained that the burger on the photo was not the one for $5, but from $5, he offered me to receive the same lunch as the one on the photo as I explained that I had gone there specifically because of it. Thanks Ben for the great customer service provided. Even though the guys were in a hurry, he managed the situation and kept the customer satisfied. Definitely a place to come back. Cheers.

Had the Guacamole Bacon. Not sure why one would bother to go to Macs. My patty was beef.

I've been an avid CJs fan for a long time now and I still love this place for good ol' burgers and chips. Keep it up team good work.

Love this place, but more expensive then the others but food is definitely worth it.

Great value and good food. I got a great combo with 2 burgers of similar quality to other fast food restaurants for only $9. The problem though, was that the quality was only as good as other fast food places. However, my friends who dined with me ordered slightly more expensive burgers that were of significantly higher quality, much closer to that which you would expect from a good bar restaurant. The service was fast and the dining area and bathrooms were clean and well kept. All in all, my favorite fast food spot and highly recommended. Worth the 3 hour drive, good place to take the bros.

Fantastic service from the guy who was working in the drive thru on Saturday evening. When you see a few cars in front of you you accept the wait but he was very apologetic and kind about it, really appreciated his kindness after a long day.

It's exactly what you expect from fast food. If you want a trashy burger you wanna feel conflicted about after, sure then go for it. Shakes are nice, but definitely not hand scooped like they advertise lol

Clean and tidy, service was quick. Customer service cool. My beef patty was cold, chips were flavorless and coke drink was flat. Would I go back? Probably, not.

We went and got 4 cheese burger meals......my one kid who never finishes a burger and chips,ate it all. Super impressed with the burgers(1st time buyer longtime been wanting to try them), I dont know if many people would understand it when I say that the burgers were smooth to eat not like across the road where they feel rough in your mouth. ANYWAY awesome food. Hope to go back soon and try more out on the menu.

Fantastic burgers! Honestly, one of the best I have had! The service is a little below average however, the staff enjoyed finishing their conversation prior to serving us and when we advised a few younger customers (not in our group) we're making a mess in the loo, they all joked about who would clean it up. The problem is, they had already broken the tap and water filled a third of the restaurant! Anyway, they handled it well. Cheers

Burger was yummy. Criss cross chips were hot, fresh and crunchy, I was happy I chose Carl's Jr to eat at.

Staff were a little not happy to be at work vibe but none the less the food cam out fresh and pretty quickly considering it was busy when we were there. Over all our table had no complaints about food restaurant being clean and tidy bathrooms were reasonably clean as well.

Everytime I come here from wellington I get the best burger evertime just awesome!

Needed a meal after hitting 7 Days at the Regent. Carl's fit the bill. Wasn't too busy when we got down there but rapidly filled with other show goers. Quick service by the counter staff and fast delivery to our table. Did I mention we all tried the ginger L&P, now that's a winner. We all enjoyed our burgers and fries and appreciated not having to do the dishes. Top marks Carl's.

Just went through the drive thru, and ordered a refreshing Mango Tropic ice cream milkshake. Ooooooh!!!! It was delicious in the hot heat!! Also wanted the cheese & bacon cris cut chips, but got some hot sauce on it instead. 1/2 an hour later, I went round for another refreshing cool Mango Tropic ice cream milkshake. Mmmmmmmm!!!

I really liked the flavour and crispness of the chips and the tasty burger. One other group only dining in but people were coming and going for takeaways. The staff member who took our order was polite but not friendly. The one who delivered our meal to the table apologised for the delay. The floor was very dirty and the table sticky. The drinks machine was over-carbonated or something as I had to wait for lots of bubbles to subside after each burst of liquid into my cup

Ok food, speaker was faulty and had to repeat my order once I got to the window because it was put down wrong. Made the waiting process longer. Friendly staff though which was nice :)

Decent takeaways.. Burger choices better than McDonald's I would think. Ran out of ice cream when I visited.

When you live where there is no fast food shops and come in to the big smoke for something, Carl's Jr is such a treat and soooooo much better than McDonald's or BK

My first time at CJ's. Will definitely be going back. Portobello burger was a bit 'messy', real tasty, but messy. Parking was a bit light, but all of the food items ordered were nice.

The star burger with cheese is the bomb. It was so big and juicy it took me ages to finish First time I loved it. Moist and tasty burger and chips fresh made. Great value for money I wish Wellington had Carl's Jr, because that's such a shame. Its right across the road from McDonald's so you have to decide which drive through but personally u give Carl Jr my money you get so full on one if their combos.

Came in just before closing. The lady served me as if i was her first customer. Informed me of a better deal. Very good service. Burger needed more mayo hardly any so was a dry. Other than that it was good.

Fast service. Very clean even the toilets were reasonably clean. The milkshakes are the bomb got to add that to the meal each time. The big Carl is a go to burger never disappoints.

Wait for about 2-3 minutes to be served as all staff were out back talking even after being told from 1 staff member said that there were customers while ordering told the staff member it was take away about 3 times and the order was still brought to us on a tray had to wait again for them to go and bag it up how ever food was still as good as it normally just the chips were a bit un salted and the coke was flay

Nice food but my burger was a bit lacking in some of the ingredients: only one pickle and none of the onion crisps, plus my fries were only part cooked most were still hard potato. The Patty was very nice though and overall I would try again

Foods consistently pretty good, love the chips.... HOWEVER! 3 Times in a row now when i have gone through the drive thru they have messed up my order and not put everything in the bag(always seems to be burgers). Which is pretty annoying considering the burgers can be around the $10 mark each. Will still go back as its pretty good when im working late but defs going to double check the bags everytime now.

The displayed product appeared much better than the burger I got. Not sure if I got the angus patties I paid for and the bacon tasted a bit funny but might just be me. Service was good but for this visit I cannot give 4 stars.

Yum, yum and yum. I have coeliacs disease and am really happy with the meal I had (burger without buns) . Recommend highly to anyone who can't tolerate gluten

Great place to get a great feed. Excellent selection of burgers that are a lot nicer than other places such as McDonald's. However, they can often be slow, and some of the prices are definitely not cheap.

Everything was good except the loaded fries were bad, I think either the bacon or the dressing had gone off. I informed the staff and they were very good about it and said they would check all the ingredients they had used. Everything else about the visit and the meal was great.

My favorite burger place in Palmy. Nice place, big size (not too big) burger, delicious chips, and a wide variety of burgers. The basic burgers (cheeseburger, beef burgers) usually cost about $5, the good delicious ones usually cost $8-15. The patty is usually pretty thick and juicy, which I love. There's a drive through service too.

I was egar to try the food as I'd never been to Carl's Jr before. However it just felt like I was at Burger King and I wasn't overly impressed. That being said the staff were lovely and the restaurant was tidy

As Carl Jnrs go this is not a good example. Differently the worst of the chain. Poor burger construction and sauces just out of balance. Do not take this store as an example of the chain.

It was okay, but the chicken in their burgers had the flavour profile of white bread... So won't be having a chicken burger there again

Specials were not too bad and pretty quick service, but where can we get some sauce and mayo? Went to ask but line was too long to wait any further as our meals would get cold. You need to have condiments accessible.

Talk about fast food. Ordered , found a table and was delivered in what seemed about 2 or 3 minutes.And that was for 3 people.

That particular day, was very disappointed with our meal, was looking forward to a great Burger as had been in month earlier and it was the best. Today I left feeling disappointed as its not a cheap meal and not sure if I will be back. Service needs work, maybe a bad day... I may be back in 6 months.

Dining in service was nice, food came out relatively quickly, and portion sizes seemed a bit better than competitors.

I've been to other Carl's Jr's in Auckland and the US, the Palmy locations burgers are very dry and under-seasoned by comparison. The staff, however, were very friendly and the order arrived in a timely fashion.

Was pretty good service today. Food really fresh as well. Drink area a little untidy but that's to be expected. Also free drink refills, awesome idea. McDonald n KFC take note.

I have been here twice now and left as soon as possible because it's cold!! Floor to ceiling windows and heating seems non-existant. The food is great, decent size, if a bit more expensive than McD's it's worth it. Limited menu

I really enjoyed my meal here but would appreciate a menu that is laid out better as I felt mislead with the pricing and feel it could be presented in a more straight forward way. I don't live in Palmy and my home town doesn't have Carl's jr so I wasn't use to the menu being displayed the way it was 😅

Most of the time the food is great, they occasionally forget food. One instance the drive through system crashed and they gave us the whole meal for free.

Yum burgers are low prices. Have had issues when asking for no cheese (ie, the was cheese in it) when going through the drive through, but otherwise good! No problems when walking in.

Quite busy while we were there, Only 1 person taking orders at the till. A staff member was trying his hardest to keep the dining room clear and get the rubbish bins changed. Despite all this the food was fresh and delicious.

Like a better version of burger King with the slightly burned taste on the patties. Anytime I go through Palmerston, ai will visit here first. 😅

First time I tried Carl's Jr and it has a good selection of food in their menu and their food is a good competition to the other fast food joints. I enjoyed my chicken burger it was tasty.

Love the different chips they have and the bacon on the burgers along with the real ice cream shakes

Carl's Jr. Palmerston North is great. The only burger place I can enjoy with good staff and food. They often have fantastic deals to which really give you value for money.

Lots of options. Food was hot and quick. Place was clean and staff was respectful. Only thing I could nit pick is that sauces weren't readily available which had to be asked and grabbed by the busy staff member

carls is usually pretty good here burgers are decent and the staff are usually pretty friendly but there are sometimes exceptions as anywhere. food is a bit pricey though so remember if you go be prepared to spend a bit.

My family & I visit Carl's Jnr every time we come to town. Our faves are *Super Star* & *Vegetarian* burgers with krisscut fries. The food is always delicious & the service is always friendly.

We got 4 different burgers to have a share of all... The moonshine and Jim beam burgers the sauce was very sweet and sickly... Didn't enjoy at all... The all-star was the best by far

The place was average at best. Tables were dirty. Tomato sauce was left on the tables which had dried up and oil all over the table surfaces. The floors under the tables were littered with food scraps.

Oreo shakes & fries are awesome! However the wait times can get a bit long esp drive through. Other than that no complaints :)

The burger was good but would have been better if it was hotter, the loaded crosscut fries were really disappointing nothing like the TVs ad.

I tried the Palmerston north branch last week from a trip to wellington and the hot dog bread didn't seem fresh enough for me i had the $10.90 combo everything else was great so ill be back again.

A fine establishment, burgers were American style and the 'chilli' loaded fries were incredible. Great customer service for a franchise, recommend highly!

Good food for prize apart from Jalepenos poppers which is approx 5.90 dollars and theres only 5 or 6 of the small things i there... bit of a rip off for money actually... sometimes theres a wait long wait for drivethroughs and we dont even get a compensation or a sorry... somethings they foget napkins or utensils whi h such coz you already drove off and its anther 20-25 mins back to town and by the end you cant even be bothered anymore. Youd think there would be more quality control or costumer service really...

This was my first time at Carl's Jnr. So I have lost my Carl's Jnr-inity. I really loved the Chilli Fries - proper beef mince mix and cheese with the Fries. Well done peeps!

Slightly run down compared to other Carl's Jrs. Not a good place to have coffee. Burger was good as usual, chargrilled.

Memphis BBQ burger cannot be beat, chilli cheese fries and table service. Great place for this and kids, some parts of the menu very reasonably priced.

Really great meals here - best burger joint in town so far.

Was good but they ran out of chicken burger patties so used tenders instead which was ok but they should of offered a discount for inconvenience too.

If you like feeling like you might die if you finish your food, this is the place for you. I'd personally suggest getting a smaller burger and upgrading your sides and getting a shake for a drink.

Eat like you have never eaten before. Let the staff take you to burger heaven. Just make sure you are prepared to walk like you just sat on an upturned carrot when you leave

A little bit slow service at 3:45pm but food was OK. Second takeaway order a few minutes later was very quick so we don't understand why.

It's more expensive than other burger chains and the product isn't that much better. When I went everything was over cooked and tasted bland.

If you after a good quality burgers do not order special cheap ones as they are not tasty

Absolutely delicious food. Mostly let down by the slow service, it's called FAST FOOD for a reason. Also, prices could be more competitive.
