P.Lovely experience and reasonably priced. The cocktails and kids drink was tasty and well priced. The bbq set up was lovely. The staffs are welcoming and they even gave us a tour when we said it was our first time here. I won’t spoil the surprise for first timers by explaining how things work there but their pancakes are just yummy. Must visit place if you are in palmy

S.A fun place to share a meal, fully licensed with all kinds of delicious options to suit all tastes, even special dietary requirements. The only thing I could fault is some of the depleted options took a while to be refilled. That said, I had a great time and will definitely be returning again.
M.This was my first experience at Gengys, and what an experience. You walk in and are chaperoned to a table, a staff member explains the rules and youre ready to go. Selecting the raw ingredients, theres no way to get what you don't want. You take your bowl up to the busy chefs who's multitasking capabilties leave you in awe and you head back to your table, where a friendly staff memeber brings to you the meal you helped create. Dessert is pancakes, cooked to order, you add your own toppings. In less than one minute upon completion, at times, before you're finished, your plate is whisked away.

R.Food was of reasonable quality and quantity. Nothing very exciting but nothing wrong with it either. If you've never dined at a BBQ buffet before there are good instructions and helpful suggestions overhead. The pancakes were excellent.
M.This isn't just great food, it's an experience. Having been to a couple in the north island this one was my favourite. They had some additional options I hadn't seen before. Always something for everybody which is why this is a great spot for groups. Can't beat the early bird special either.

M.YUM! Delicious food, excellent service. Have deals for students and "early bird" prices, you need to leave by 7pm though. You can also dine for $1 on your birthday 🥳. Was very crowded when we went, but because they cook in front of you. Wait time was minimal.
J.Interesting experience choosing meat and veges, and creating flavours with oil and sauces then watching the meal being cooked. There are suggestions on top of the buffet food stand if you need help on what to put in the bowl. Make sure you put plenty of oil so the food doesn't burn. Lots of choice in side snacks too. Lovely dessert pancake with icecream and toppings to finish the meal. And you dine for $1 on your birthday.
v.Good for an all you can eat just make sure you don’t book for later than 7:30pm

N.Place was packed, which these days would worry you but the staff is friendly and shows you how things work and have layed out a good path for people to follow. They refuse to seat people who haven't got masks, which keeps many safe however I did see them offering some to a couple who showed theirs had broken, so friendly but firm. 🙂

g.Absolutely loved eating here, the kids loved watching their dinner get cooked,bthe chefs were really nice to the kids and they ate everything. We personally had a great waiter (kiwi dude) who was super nice and prompt with everything. Is a must dine for families as it caters for all.

O.Waiting for the cooked meal to serve is not satisfied like chips, nuggets, sausages, fish and so much more on that oven.
T.Good range of food/drinks selection. You pick a bowl select what protein you want with vegetables and oils. Then hand it over to the chief and they cook it for you right in front of you. Some of the seating arrangements are a bit tight for comfort. But the place was clean and tidy as soon a food group ran out they were quick to refill it.
A.Great night out. Food was really tasty, but had to wait for a long time to order drinks, while staff walked in and out behind the bar counter without acknowledging me at all. Good value, fresh and good food. Would definitely visit again.
V.Nice big restaurant, all you can eat. You choose your own ingredients and sauces and they make it for you. Good for vegetarians too, lots of options though they make it on same plate as meat so if you don't like that be warned. Might have to reserve in weekend and Friday nights. Very friendly staff.

P.I have been to Genzyme restaurants previously, but this was our first to the one in Palmerston North. There was a large range of meats including fish. The range of oils was extensive as well. Would thoroughly recommend a visit

P.I've eaten here a number of times, and I still enjoy it every time I go. The food choice is awesome, and I love the fact that each time you go up for another course, you can choose an entirely different dish if you like. The only downside (if you can call it that) is that I always eat far too much and struggle to walk out afterwards :) The staff are friendly and I would gladly recommend it to anyone who asks

R.We went to Gengy's for a family birthday meal. It was our first visit and we were delighted with the whole experience. Choosing our meat, vegetables and flavourings meant that our individual tastes were well catered for and having it cooked so quickly and efficiently while we waited was an entertaining bonus. Younger members of the group had a good range of chips, spring rolls and other choices from the prepared buffet followed by as many servings of freshly cooked pancakes and ice cream as the wanted. We will definitely go here again.
A.I don't know... if comparing to another similar place (i.e. Genghis Kahn in Wellington) then it was very low standard food. If not comparing then the food was a bit ho-hum. Service was good, staff friendly. Oh and the soup was awesome.
J.Food was good cooked well but taste really depends on what flavours you choose, environment was great all the staff were smiley and friendly. It was crazy busy but staff were still organised with restocking plates foods etc. I'd go back just based on the friendly staff.

Although the lady took the water bottle away, we did have 6 people at the table and one bottle would fill maybe 3 glasses so emptied fast. would've been nice if she had offered another bottle of water. Cooks were great. Didnt bother me the plates were wet but clean and rinsed I assumed. Variety of greens to add to main meal, I think there couldve been more. Overall good👍

g.Have been here a few times. The staff are great, it feels like you're right at home because they dont come and hassle you or watch you eat but are always near by if you need. Love the food, layout and lighting here. Sound doesnt echo too much as well so good for groups. Each table feels to have its own space which is great. Only reason I havent given a 5 is because my food had tasted a bit burnt last time.

c.Great for diners wanting a smorgasbord with cooked food an also food you want cooked. Take it up after you customize what you want an in literally 5mins your meal is cooked in from off you on a massive hot plate with a team of people. Would reccomend to come here. My record is 7 plates in one sitting!
P.So delicious and can eat heaps. When I last visited a couple of weeks ago there were heaps of people and whole familys. Interesting to see particularly straight after lock down. I am going again problem is I hate driving in the dark.

A.This place was beyond my expectations after dining at the classic Wellington Genghis Kahn. There were so many more options to chose from, including a burger bar, desert bar, as well as a seafood bar, and.rhwy even made you pancakes! Lol
Tried a couple cocktails which were mediocre but good for the price. They were $10 more expensive than the Wellington one, however, it is definitely worth it
K.Good dining establishment, if you are on a budget. The wait for food to be cooked can be a long wait, if you are dining during their busy periods. The self serve area is definitely a "first in first serve" situation. I would not recommend dining here when their are any major sporting events taking place as the "ravenous" teenage " men leave nothing behind, haha

I.Amazing, would refer our Motel guests there. Don't quite understand the food quality comment as you are preparing your dinner and if something isn't enjoyably "all you can eat" allows you to start again?

S.Certainly a good place food is good but because of how most of it is put to your own creative mind it can have inconsistent outcomes when it comes time to eat what's on your plate that mixed with the thrill of wanting to try ingredients you don't eat on a daily basis could lead the odds of what's on your plate to be not at all what you expected. Beyond that service was very good but just can't help but say it's a little over charged and Genghis Khan that was on the square is surely missed after my visit to gengys
M.All you can eat buffet experience was great. You choose the ingredients and then one of their chefs cook it in front of you. $1 buffet if you are within a week of your birthday (with 3 other adults) is very handy as well.
