Little India is a cozy place with wonderful ambience and great tasting food. Each dish has an individual taste and unique in its own way. Like all good things come in small packages this was a wonderful surprise of great hospitality and a burst of authentic flavours. Well balanced spices and quantity for the price. Great chef

I travel around the country and always have to eat out with my team. This was the best experience i ever had being in NZ for 11 years. The Chef cooked food in REAL INDIAN STYLE without compromising spices and quantity and quality. Every dish tasted different and this has been BEST RESTAURANT we have ever been in NZ. Proud of this Chef and the restaurant’s friendly staff. From reception to the kitchen. A perfect example of how great service can be given without compromising quality. Other Indian restaurants should learn from this. Great to see that we can still experience real indian food and the essence of indian cooking and taste hasn’t died. There is still hope.

Such amazing food and amazing customer service! Even though it was already 9:30pm by the time we arrived, they had said there was no rush, which was great since we were all starved from today's events. The food is like no other indian restaurant I've eaten in, it's a different and unique taste altogether which makes it even more enjoyable. Not too sweet or too spicy, it was the perfect blend in my opinion. Will definitely be returning here again soon whenever we come back to NZ. It's a shame I didn't take anymore photos of the food, but I must say the atmosphere was incredible as well!

Great food, friendly staffs and good service. On a busy lunch day, food can take up to 40 mins. On a quiet dinner day, food came out in 15-20mins. Portions are decent and prices are not bad, would recommend!

Without a doubt the best Indian food I have ever had in Australia, New Zealand or England. The restaurant was well presented, as was the food. The depth of flavor in the different curries was incredible. The trouble the staff went to was amazing to ensure we got the best dining experience possible. I could not fault anything. Staff even offered to split the bill, but it was my turn to shout and I gladly included a tip in the eft transaction . Little India Palmerston North was a dining experience which makes my top ten dining experiences ever.

Food was yummy and service great. The staff were friendly and helpful. I've recommend this place to a few people now and they enjoyed it too. Been there a few times and always the same courteous staff and awesome food with lots of choice so don't hesitate to go. I'd recommend the Butter Chicken, not very adventurous I know but it's so nice!

Last Saturday after a long day of dance competitions, I took my family out to dinner at Little India. 2 x teenager's and 2 x adults. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. I was actually blown away at just how amazing our dining experience was. We will definitely be back next time we are in Palmerston North.

We were In Palmerston North for the weekend & had a takeaway on the Sat night. Both dishes were delicious & just the right amount of heat (we only had a medium). When we picked up our takeaway the restaurant was full, so that has to be a good sign. Would definitely go back there when in town next :-)

It is a little restaurant with a cosy atmosphere, for intimate dining , or small table groups from 2 to 8 people. But will accommodate larger groups that can book ahead of time. Good dining experience, but be aware of the mild to hot N.Z. style, as opposed to the Indian mild to hot. Very Different Indeed!!.I was there with a group of friends, and had a wonderful time. Do try the onion bhaji, tandoor chicken, lemon flavoured chicken, and lamb chop cutlet. They were delicious. I tried the Mango Chicken, which was nice with rice and butter naan. They others had paneer curry, Dhaal Mahkri, and Butter Chicken with rice and butter naan bread.

Beautiful, authentic flavors, food delicious.. First try of the tandoori mushrooms as a starter and will definitely get those again! Staff all had lovely smiles, our waitress did get a bit muddled with our drink order but such a minor inconvenience we blamed my boyfriends accent!

Had dietary changes required, Little India called to confirm everything etc - great customer service. Meal was astounding, appearance and taste looked like authentic spice based curry, not the standard indian curry paste and mix fare. Saagwala was very authentic and "dry" clumps of spinach clinging to the abundance of lamb. not a soupy mess at all. also had the tandoori platter, very nice. Thanks Team.

After a bit of research and an opinion from an experienced gourmet friend we duly made a booking at "Little India". Wow, what an experience, everything was beautifully made and served and the tastes were just outstanding. It didn't take me long to realise what I had been missing for all these years. I have definitely found the true taste of Indian, and I love it. We will definitely be going back to Little India time and time again. Thank you "Little India" for educating me in the true taste of India.

Beautifully presented restaurant, decor is industrial with a hint of India - very cool. Service was outstanding, waiter was kind enough to recommend starters which were spot on for what we felt like. Best Indian we've ever had in New Zealand... our 6 year old twins had their very first Indian food experience and they loved it - especially the mango lassi's!! Oh and the bathrooms! Spotlessly clean. The waiter was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend and will be returning.

Best restaurant in Palmerston North serving North Indian Cuisine. The spices are so good that it rejuvenates your taste buds. I loved the garlic naans, they were fluffy and yumm! Paneer Aloo Tikka is a must try, they were really good. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Delicious curries with good service. Sauces are thick and tasty, with a generous amount of meat, unlike many cheaper places which have a little meat sitting in quantities of watery sauce. Decent drinks list. Kind of cool atmosphere too.

Best Indian meal we have ever had. Hands down fantastic onion bhaji. Enjoy a wonderful butter chicken, tasted buttery and creamy, no sugar. Great service. Fast cook times. Craft beer. Good wine selection of wine. Looking forward to coming back to try other starters. Pro tip, order the onion bhaji takeaway and use them as patties in a burger. Thick slice tomato, thin betroom, melting cheese, ice berg lettuce, mint yoghurt dressing with a soft sesame bun... Yum

It's like Doctor Who's Tardis! Looks small from the outside but actually very spacious on the inside. Full of charm and well decorated. Lovely private booth to sit in for the five of us dining. Lots of choice on the menu and delicious food. Very good service, particularly being able to arrange the starters for five people. Will definitely be going back again.

Beautifully delish Indian cuisine. My favorite curry is the saagwala and now it's the saagwala from Little India, it's so fresh and vibrant, so authentic and it makes all the others seem so bland and unappealing. Edit: after coming here after my first review there was a huge difference, curry tastes the same (no sugar like other places) but this time the waitering was on point. Warm and friendly atmosphere. The male gentleman waitering for us was excellent, the young lady waiter needs to work on her sentences. The curry was decent but there is better in Palmerston North, the price didn't justify what i recieved as opposed to other curry places in Palmerston North. On top of being more expensive than other Indian restaurants, i thought the EFTPOS machine asking the amount you'd like to tip was rude, perhaps you could have a small money jar giving the dinners an option if they have change. I understand the restaurant is new in Palmy, i will visit back there in the next few months and hopefully my review will change.
