A.Absolutely loved dining here!! Our waitress was new and still learning a lot but very kind and sweet, the food was amazing and filling, drinks were great and the decor inside was absolutely amazing. It wasn't too busy but everyone that was inside looked very happy and comfortable. The owner(?) an Italian man behind the bar was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend!
Đ.From start fo finish, every single plate is amazing and wonderful.
Seafood platter with muscle, clams, calamari and fish was flavourfull.
Risotto and carbonara was tasty with creamy and rich sauce.
The desert: *chef kiss* amazing.
Definitely recomend and we will come back for more.
M.We love going here, the food is fantastic and it’s the only real Italian restaurant in Palmy. The tortellini and the pork with masala are my favourites. And you can’t beat their tiramisù. I also really like that they have real Italian wine, try the Sangiovese , it’s so good! We have been going here for years, the owners greet us like family now.
D.Amazing restaurant, Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service. We travel from Wellington to Palmerston North just for this restaurant. The manager and team that were working tonight (21/5/22) were so wonderful. They were extremely busy tonight and I mistakenly hadn't booked prior to arriving. Before they even knew we had travelled here just for this restaurant they made me feel so welcome under the stress of catering for their busy restaurant. They were at capacity and so busy, an hour to closing time so they were no longer taking orders but they made an exception for us. Appreciate it so much. Will be back for sure as soon as we can. I highly recommend anyone coming to PN to stop here! Palmerston North is very lucky to have this restaurant and team.
B.Right from ringing Portofino to make a reservation and the whole dining experience. I absolutely love the food and this place. Gives you a sense of family. So friendly, expressive and passionate. This experience makes me want to go to Italy. I will be back. Highly recommended and rated A+++++

We were three people arriving without a booking and were delighted by the pleasant but comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff and manager - they really went the extra mile to be helpful. We all chose pizzas and they were excellent. We will definitely be going back next time we're in Palmerston North. Thank you Portofino!

L.I went by myself this past Wednesday night. Tommy was wonderful, gave me a seat by the window. The Carbonara was the best I have ever had in my life!! and the vanilla Panna Cotta was amazing. A 10/10 evening for a holiday treat. I will go back in a heartbeat next time I am in Palmy.

A.The staff are very friendly and lovely. The food is always displayed in a lovely manner. Have food for everyone, with plenty of vegetarian options. And a nice drinks list to accompany the meal. Price range for mains range from $20-$45. Totally worth a visit. Tortellini alla panna $27.50, was a very creamy and scrumptious. Pollo alla parmigiana $35, a sweet but sour tomato dish with chicken breast wrapped in ham. Torta al cioccolato $14.5, was very moist and rich chocolate. Was Devine, a must have for chocolate lovers.

S.Awesome options! I often visit places and struggle to find things that I want to order or am familiar with on menus however I no where near that that problem at Portofino. They have several classic options like Spaghetti bologna and lasagne, as well as several other pasta dishes that are amazing too. As well as that of course they serve several different kinds of pizza so can cater for pizza lovers, children or fussy eaters alike. Slightly higher priced but I definitely wouldn't say overpriced and I found based on volume of food it was worth it, we definitely didn't go hungry.

R.We took a walk through Palmerston North looking for an early dinner and spotted this place purely by chance. It was excellent in every way. We were seated at a table in the window. The menu is reasonably wide ranging. The food was outstanding and service and price were good. If you like Italian cuisine eat here.

If you're going for an evening I recommend getting all three courses as the mains alone aren't portioned quite large enough to fill on their own. Really recommend this place!

N.I live 6 hours drive away from here but would make the trip to eat here again. We arrived just before closing for a very hastily arranged family lunch the lovely owners kept open for us and I'm glad they did. The veal and mushroom dish was amazing.
l.This place did not do for me.about it. The service left a lot to be desired. But they did have some very that. Looked delicious. They dosteak. The management was pleasant so was the staff. Just with there being a group two tables. Should written for on table one and for table two. People seemed to enjoy meals which is good.

I was attending a birthday dinner with family & they didn't go the extra mile with the birthday person's meal e.g. no Happy Birthday decorated dessert. I have been to other restaurants who have done that for people dining there for their birthday. Safe to say I was disappointed in this lack of acknowledgement. Such a pity!
T.Tonight was our third night coming to Portofino and we loved every moment of being there. Food was delicious, service was friendly and fast. Nothing bad to say about this place. Will definitely be coming back again :)

S.Another enjoyable meal had. We have found the food, staff and service excellent each time we go back. Their Fettuccini is delicious. Our meals last night started with the garlic pizza (yummy) followed by Lasagne, Fettuccini and the Ravioli we all thoroughly enjoyed them.
