For sure the best restaurant I have ever visited in the palmerston north region. Really good , great service and great food. Food had great depth of flavor, and lots of flavor in every element of the dishes we ordered. The fries are probably the best I have ever tasted, however the Korean fried chicken wasn't that amazing. Drinks were good, limited range of cocktails however the drinks were presented great and were tasty. Vibe was great, decor 👌 and lighting was intimate and cozy along with comfortable seats. Great work guys, we will be back

Great venue for social dining. Perfect portions for sharing 3-5 plates between people so you get to taste a lot. The mash and the mushrooms were perfect. The snack sized beef tataki was well worth it for the punchy flavour. A good mix of fresh and rich dishes to try out. Would have loved to have tried the lamb racks but it would have been too much for two people plus extra plates. Good wine list. They've done a fantastic job of the fit out compared to some of the other dated places around. If you're lucky there's a chef's table where you get to see all the action in the kitchen! Suitable for all adult age groups. Will have to try the lunch menu out to give the outdoor patio a hoon.

Both visits here have been a great experience. Going as a group allows you to get a variety of dishes to share and get a taste of different dishes, works out decent when sharing. The food was tasty, and the steak cooked well. Went as a large group and most people had never been before, at the end everyone was trying to find the next event as a reason to go back. Highly recommend taking a group and sharing the dishes with everyone, also the private rooms are great for larger groups

Second visit & just as good as the first. Good service. Sorry, forgot to leave a tip for the wait staff. Have tried most of the items on the menu now. Aaron never disappoints. Loves the Tomahawk Steak & Rack of Lamb, although I felt that the lamb could have been cooked a bit longer. Will certainly be making anothe visit in the near future. Mmmm.. what haven't I tried on the menu?

I liked it lovely atmosphere. But about slow on service. For what I had thought bit pricie. I think good place to go in group and with a partner not on own. J had different starters.only ask for fries if quite a few of you enough for 3 serving. But would recommend it try and see what you think

Went to Provenance with friends last night. Great eating experience, tomahawk the best steak I have eaten. Service fantastic the restaurant was buzzing for a Thursday night. The owners have done an amazing makeover compared to the restaurant that was there. Will be back for the lamb rack.

Wow- went to Provenance tonight and it would have to be the best restaurant I have been to in the Manawatu hands down. Not only was the food to die for the service was outstanding. Having recently moved back from Auckland I would say Provenance was as good as if not better than any top restaurant we’ve been too. We’ll definitely be back!

Went to Provenance as part of a family gathering over the holidays. Wow, we were impressed! Great atmosphere and stylings. The food was delicious, fresh and unique. The pork belly was absolutely amazing and the burger large but well proportioned. My wife is pregnant and enjoyed the mock tail menu. Looking forward to returning.

Went here with 11 other people, ordered a huge range of food for the table, all of it was amazing! Steak, lamb, pork, chicken, veges, potatoes. All fantastic, staff are friendly and kept the table watered and looked after. After splitting the bill amongst the group it was a normal average bill. Highly recommend to any one that likes to eat and socialise with a group of friends. Will be coming back for more amazing food and great atmosphere!

Great sharing food, top service (thank you KJ – hope I got the name right), sharp interior design, and excellent level of lighting (perfect atmosphere creator). Loved the Beef Tataki which had a super tasty sauce. The special fire broccoli was delicious. The Korean Fried Chicken dish is really good! The desserts (Smores & Lemon M) are lovely but very sweet – good for those who like that. I would love to see a less sweet dessert on the menu (other than cheese). Also has a great beverage list. Was incredibly cheap for my boyfriend and I, we had 3 sides and drinks and was enough to make us both full and happy!! Amazing place. Definitely going again.

Simple but beautifully prepared food, especially the lamb cutlets. Small but good wine list. Only negative comment was sluggish service. But will definitely be back.

Had a wonderful meal here over the holidays. The bruschetta, burger and house-made ice cream were all delicious! A beautiful setting to dine in with friendly staff too. Looking forward to dining here again soon!

Loved the concept of it being a social eatery. Food was stunning to look at and tasted delicious! Chefs did a great job. Tomahawk steak with the chimichurri sauce stole the show for me🤤 Great work Provenance!

OMG, this place is UH-MAY-ZIIIING!! A group of 12 of us went there last night (most were there for the first time - myself included) and were given our own private room which was awesome! We got sharing plates for the whole table so everyone could sample everything, and every single dish was deliciously cooked to perfection. From the chicken to the pork to the lamb and the amazing tomahawk steak; just beautiful! Highly recommended to go with a group and definitely will be coming back again! 😍

Service, atmosphere, ambience all fantastic. Food was great, ideal portioning for sharing! Drinks were good too. Everything was very aesthetic, perfect for your IG stories. 10/10 would socialise again.

Loved the beef tartare and beef tataki but the rest of food was disappointing: portions were too big for dishes to share between only two people like the mushroom dish & it felt like quantity was prioritized over quality. Pork belly balls were nothing more than fried food and the Asian dish in lettuce leaves was expensive for what it was: lettuce, carrots, soy beans, a bit of meat and a nice dipping sauce. But the biggest disappointment was the dessert. 28 nzd for the lemon dessert which was way too big and unbalanced. The ratio of meringue to lemon curd was completely wrong making the dish way too sweet. Would be better to have normal size desserts and people can choose to share them or not.

We have been twice to this new Restaurant, once as a family group and once with friends. The portions of food are generous, flavours just right and presentation is well executed. The meat melts in your mouth. A fabulous place to order several dishes to share whilst trying something off the extensive drinks menu. I particularly liked the range of non alcoholic mocktails to choose from! We will be back.

Wow! So nice to have another awesome restaurant in town. Aaron may not have managed to get far on My Kitchen Rules but the food is outstanding. This is a must go and check out restaurant. Portions not large but that enables you to try a variety of things on the menu. For something a bit different and soooo tasty, try this out. We will definitely be back! We tried the "chefs table" for something different. You're right there with the chefs and you get to see them putting food together. Well worth the visit. You will not be disappointed!

What a blessing, had a nice meal to my self for a change. Steak tartar, beef San choy bow, and finished with a smores from the dessert selection. Heineken on Tap. What more could I ask for? Nothing. Highly recommend 👌

Pure indulgence. The beef tataki was melt in your mouth, the best I've ever had! The lamb was so succulent it was to die for. the bao was beautiful, nice change from it being in bun. Finally a restaurant that can cook Nice one team.

We had a fantastic meal here in late March 2022 - food and service were excellent and the interior is tastefully decorated with various seating options avaliable
