Absolutely delicious food! It was our 1st time visiting Tauranga/Papamoa. Loved the ambience when checked on google and we drove straight to the restaurant. The starters were great and filling, we couldn’t even eat our mains. Staff was friendly. Highly recommended.

Great price and good service. Some of the group asked for mild but said it was still spicy. And we had to ask for more rice as they didn't bring enough out. But still a great meal. Vegan and gluten free options were simple and no fuss to ask for.

I always get a very tasty Beef Vindaloo from here, and the waitress named Zeia (hope I spelled that right) has excellent, personable customer service. She makes sure my food is as spicy as it can possibly be which I love! I love my food very hot and I like being able to order my Indian hotter than "Indian Hot". She makes sure of this which is great.

$36 a head - may seem expensive, but well worth it and when a burger and chips at the pub is $25 on its own... :) We had 2 sizzling platters of samplers etc, 5 curries, naan bread, rice, followed up by mango sorbet and ice cream. We couldn't finish everything between 6 of us :D Everything was fantastic and friendly staff :) Will be back next time I'm in Papamoa :)

We had a quick trip to Papamoa so thought we would go out for dinner. Quick scan of popular restaurants and this had 4.9 stars. Now we have eaten there it's easy to see why. Friendly staff. Great value and most importantly great food. This is one of the best Indian restraints in New Zealand

Our large group was very well looked after at a busy time for the restaurant. The curries were, as always, very very good. Goat is also on the menu if you want to try something different.

Tried their Malai kofta and Kadhai paneer lunch combo take away today. Really enjoyed the garlic naan and Kadhai paneer. But didn't like the Malai kofta though. The kofta was too hard and the gravy was tasteless.

I took my parents there for dinner recently. We had the banquet for 4 people, amazing selection of dishes, substantial portions per person. Attentive staff without be to in your face :-) A refreshingly nice balance. We will definitely be going back. Well worth the drive, even if you live and normally get your Indian food from Mount Maunganui, you should check these guys out.

We booked a table for 6.30pm. Having our grandchildren with us, we thought that was a good time. They were so excited. One fell asleep before the meal was served at 8.00pm. Disappointing.

This has to be the best Indian restaurant in Tauranga area. The staff are friendly, and the food is fantastic. We have been using Great Spice for many years, back when it was in the old Plaza, and we have never had a bad meal yet, jeep up the good work Bishnu and your staff.

These guys are just amazing they do several deals for lunch time and dinner time. Have tried there Lunch banquet several times as recommend the best i had ever tried in many restaurant. The banquet comes with 2 different curries, 2 entrees, 2 naan and served with rice. most importantly the service is awesome. Highly Recommended

We just went for an early starter and drink on a night out. The place was packed - with kiwifruit industry people - the starters came on a sizzling plate with mixed starters and sauces for Samosa and mont yoghurt for the Tikka. Its a meal i havent had often since coming here three years ago and it compared wonderfully to there where there are a lot more choices. We live in Te Puke where there are a number of good restaurants bit i will travel for this one its that gpod.

What a lovely restaurant, right from when we walked in, you can feel how much effort has gone into making your dining experience pleasurable. The decor, the waiter, the menu's are all well thought out. We went for lunch for $16 and it was more than we could eat and so delish. Reccomend this as a must go place.

Food is always good here which I’d say 4 star The recent service was 1 star, We was told to pick order up after a hour, we went then had to stand there a further 2 hours for food, they forgot out order and several other people’s orders, didn’t communicate with us to say what’s happening, the other people waiting had to actually help with organising who’s order was who’s, After a 3 hour wait I still would of gave a ok review until I found out half of it was cold and they didn’t even offer us a discount or voucher for next time, Unsure if I’ll bother going there again
