Good visit. Food was nice and came fairly quickly. Staff were awesome, friendly and checked in on us through the visit. Watch that long Island ice tea they will catch up on you... Back again for another round, another good visit

We visited in January on recommendation and we are so glad we did! The food was exceptional and the service an 11 out of 10 ! A rare find these days. That lunch just made us happy and we will gladly go back any day. Highly recommend The Bang Bang Chicken Tacos and we loved the Cauliflower bites - and a beer from tap ! The chairs were all new and super comfy, too ! Thank you. Keep doing what you are doing !

Was super surprised with how much the pap house has changed, and for the best, fresh layout, the staff are first class, and the food!!! Not only was it served fast it was amazing! Fresh, extremely tasty! I had food envy looking at the platters! And our son said the Mac n Cheese was the best in the world! The mains are really impressive and so tasty and the desert!! The Pap House cheesecake was a real highlight! Well worth trying! We will be back!!

Whow, what an great find this place was tonite. Nice, friendly team with a very warm welcomed to our table of 4 with prompt service given. Platter ordered as our starter & we were very impressed, certainly got the juices ready for our mains which everyone gobbled up. I did have to get a take home bag as my eyes were bigger than my tummy. Only reason for not giving a 5 star, the pork slider was abit salty for my palate but im sure would be fine for others. Nice selection across range for drinks & overall reasonably priced. Wall mounted TVs for those wanting to relax, have a drink & watch the sports channel on offer was at the other end. Also a center room fire place & cosy nook with deep arm chairs for after dinner relaxing abit longer. We certainly will be back to visit when in Papamoa again.

We went as a family of 8 on a Sunday afternoon, the staff were very friendly and helpful, we was seated quickly, offered a drink straight away and the young lady made sure that the kids were well entertained with colouring pencils and colouring sheets. The menu had a really good variety of dishes and the food arrived in good time, it was great value for money with a lovely family atmosphere. Pap house was fantastic, I would recommend for anyone to visit for a family meal.

Don't order the dumplings if you like steamed or pan fried. The menu says fried but they are deep fried. Apart from that, the food was good, staff were friendly and the establishment was well presented.

Our first time here, the place was full. Thankfully we had reserved a table. Staff were very friendly and attentive. No long waits. Great service. Hubby and I both had salads which we were very happy with. We only stayed an hour as the noise level became too much. We were hoping for a relaxing evening.

Main: chicken caeser salad, i was disappointed as it was drowning in sauce and i was unable to finish it. Good prices, quality pub food and efficient service. We had the Burger specials on Thursday, plus 2 meals from the kids menu, excellent portion size and must make mention of the great fish burger. The only issue is the kids butter chicken, far to spicy for kids. Management was very understanding and offered free ice cream for the 2 kids which wasn’t necessary but well received, will be back.

We aways have the best time at the Pap House, the food is delicious, the staff are so welcoming and attentive especially Bobby thanks 😊… can Definitely recommend eating here or a social drink

From the moment you open the door, you are met with accomodating staff, amazing food and a warm and friendly vibe that transcends your visit whether short or long. We moved over from the uk a year ago and have been looking to find a place where we can enjoy a glass of wine and some food which has the full package. We went to pap house last night as a few people had recommended it and were so happy with what we found. The management were great, friendly and welcoming, and so was the service in general! The place has a great vibe with chilled music in the background, even all the customers were really friendly and we got chatting to several groups of people during our short visit. The food was also faultless. We feel like we have definitely found our new local and cant wait to come back!!

Food was ok. $38 steak was one of those dishes that you order and are disappointed with the size when the other meals arrive that are half the price and twice the size. But if you are OK paying that much for a steak and 8 Kumara fries then you're fine.

Every year we fly out to New Zealand and visit the Bay of Plenty. Trying out new places is an absolute MUST, but if it comes to having dinner or lunch we got stuck to Pap House. For me it is the high quality food, great and friendly service and good prices that keeps drawing me to this great place! Flying back to Holland tomorrow, but next year it is no question where I will be for my first beer and burger...

Good food and service We went here to celebrate a friends birthday. It was a large table yet the food cashew out at the same time. My friends thoroughly enjoyed the steak and fish n chips. I had the reasonably priced tandoori chicken tacos. It was absolutely delicious. Service was cheerful and attentive without being intrusive. All in all great prices good food and service. I had the pleasure of dining here with two friends... And on recommendation... I really loved the food. It 2as cooked to perfection and the flavours were a wonderful blend suitable for any one. But... Im Tongan and Maori. Im hungry all the time. Itd in my DNA. I could have eaten everyone's meal and then ate another!!! Hahaha. So, be prepared to either buy more food or simply drink a little more... The latter was more appealing for me! Please don't judge me... 😆 It was a pub after all... Gosh!

Good friendly service. Waitresses shorts are a tad on the short side...glad none of them bent over in front of us. Caesar salad quite nice although croutons would have been better in pieces as opposed to slices, chicken cut into pieces and poached egg on top and a round bowl instead of long dish as had to keep salad from falling off dish. Thursday night is normally always good. Last Thursday we took some Canadian friends to see if they rated our burgers as good as ours....well when the burgers did arrive they were blown away at how tasty they were....keep it up pap house!!! But it took nearly 45 minutes to produce 4 burgers.....the place at 7.15 pm was by no means busy so I would say the service took a little of the edge off. Also the two waiter who attended our table knew nothing about the beer range...as my friend felt like a 'designer beer' so maybe a little education to staff would be in order!!

We loved the outdoor patio area, and the great craft brews they serve here, like Mount Brewing. The patio smoking is unfortunate, and the service is just alright, but I'd still recommend you visit for a pint or two.

Disappointed. Last time we visited had great local beer selection. They now sold there soul to Moa brewing company Auckland. Moa is a great beer but I wanted to try out the local craft beers again. Shame. Oh well that's business

Enjoyable Food. But I Personally Think that Raw fish should be in a slightly Bigger Bowl. The Small Bowl is too Small. Either than that it's a nice Relaxing Pub.

Amazing staff and selection of local brewed beers and ciders. The food is beyond compare too with very generous portions. Staff are knowledgeable and very friendly.
