Definitely worth trying. Pork springs rolls were really good. Too much onion in my Saigon noodles. Almost filled a quarter of my bowl. Pho broth is very tasty, beef was pretty good. Just missing the side dish of lemon herbs and beansprouts to make it perfect.

Highly recommended Vietnamese restaurant when it comes to travelling to Queenstown. I had Vegan noodle soup that came with fresh seasonal vegetables, soft tofu and yummy soup. Honestly, I did think that I made a good decision. Besides, I ordered some Vegan spring rolls for my starter, it's nice also. The restaurant was opening through Christmas.

Way better food than I expected considering it was relatively easy to find seats for a group of 5 people, during ski season, and around 7pm. The serving size of the pho is on the smaller side but tastes good. I think it's a bit of a modern or western twist but tastes good. Really glad they had a good vegan section too, would recommend the vegan curry.

Ecstatic to find authentic Vietnamese food in Queenstown. After leaving VN 🇻🇳 a few months ago, we had our first bowl of pho at this restaurant. It didn’t disappoint! The decor, the vibe, the taste of the food and the hospitality.. every little detail remind us of Saigon. The staff are friendly and we learned that the chef is indeed, from Vietnam. Can’t wait to come back for the Bun Cha and Vietnamese coffee. Highly recommended.

Excellent restaurant with a few vegan options. I tried the Vegan Noodle Soup (which is basically a vegetarian Pho with tofu), and it came packed with veggies and full of flavour. Also tried the Vegan Coconut Milk Curry (had to add a small bowl of jasmine rice) and again, it was really tasty. The service has also been very attentive and the atmosphere of the location is great. The restaurant seems to have some special offers at lunch time. I would definitely come back :)

Been here a few times for lunch, and now one of my go-to lunch places in Queenstown. The staff are friendly and ever helpful to everyone who walks in. Excellent pho, about as good as any in NZ. The stock is critical, and they've got that right, with a good balance of flavours. Pho Bo (beef pho) is the best, in my opinion.The sliced beef is tender and delicious. Ask for the fresh beansprouts and coriander to add to your noodles. If you're hungry, ask for an upsize to your noodles, for just $2 extra, which to me is good value. If you like punishment from hot chillies, ask for some fresh cut chillies. For something a little unusual, try their Vietnamese coffee (see photo). It's not just a gimmick, the coffee has a distinctly Asian flavour and had been roasted the way they like it in South East Asia, which is to nuke it super dark. If you don't like coffee that's 15/15 dark, this might not suit you, although I'm a coffee addict who likes slightly darker roasts, so I liked their coffee, which I'd describe as dark and different. It comes with condensed milk at the bottom, stir it or leave it, your choice. Recommend the lunch "set", which is prawn crackers, mains/pho and coffee - excellent value at $17 (+$2 to upsize). By the way, they also sell bubble milk tea next door, the "pearls" were the perfect chewy texture, but a little sweet for me, though not objectionably so. The tea is unusual, and tastes like it was made from Vietnamese tea leaves, although I didn't turn back to ask. Don't expect it to taste like either green tea or English breakfast tea, but it's nice in a different way.

I love the design of the store, the artsy wall and details, the beautiful bowls on the table, the bamboos and the lighting too. Staffs were friendly and fast. I tried Pho Bo (beef) and Chicken Pho, both of the broth were light and nice, not so much cilantro in it but not a problem. The superb one was the Crispy tofu with Kale something (i forgot the exact name of the dish), It was Amazing!!! Soo good, please try it if you visit this place. I also ordered (take away) fried rice for my 3yo daughter, she ate it at the hotel and loved it.

Stopped by for dinner and had a huge group so we split into two tables. Our table ended up ordering a whole lot of different stuff to share. We ordered a couple of different things from the menu but my favourite was the grilled tiger prawns. The prawns were cooked nicely and was just so easy to eat. The curry had nice flavour and the whole deep fried fish was also quite tasty. I personally thought the portions weren't the biggest. Service was friendly.

Staff were very friendly and there are bathrooms in the restaurant. Ordered the pho bo (beef pho) regular sized from the lunch menu. Bean sprouts, lemon, cilantro and mint leaves are available as well but you will need to tell your waiter/waitress that you want them. Beef texture was amazing - tender and juicy. The noodles used were thinner than the traditional pho noodles and soup base tasted a bit herbal but overall, a very delicious and filling bowl of pho. You can upgrade for bigger portions as well. I would definitely come again for more!

Best Pho Ga I’ve had in ages. Really really good pho, with a flavorful broth, tender chicken, and crunchy vegetables. Would highly recommend coming here. The large portion is a good size, I might get the extra large one though next time. Prices are very okay as well for all their meals. Tip: they currently have a lunch menu where the phos only cost $12 (only during the week and between 12 and 14:30)

Saigon kingdom comes in with good reports for the four dishes our family tried. The service is quick and friendly, the venue is clean and beautifully furnished, the prices are reasonable. I was too slow with the camera to get a complete image of the soup, sorry.

Really delicious pho, if you like spicy like me, then get the chill oil added. Their sister company in Frankton is also great. This one is nicer to eat in at decor wise, however unfortunately they both play terrible music most the time. The first time eating in at the one in town they had nice Vietnamese music but after that it was pop or Disney soundtracks. If they could stick to the Vietnamese music that would be awesome, however I’ll still give them 5 stars because the food is yum!

We went for dinner here when visiting Queenstown. The place was heaving, which we interpreted as a good sign! The staff generously managed to fit us in despite being very busy with every other table full. We ordered the seafood platter which was outrageously tasty, and also a cool cultural experience as the waitress told us about some of the typical Viet ways to eat seafood. A platter is a fun way to eat, and was good size for two people, and perfect to go alongside some really fun and creative cocktails.

We also had their Vietnamese Summer Rolls which were excellent... so excellent, in fact, that we returned for dinner a few nights later. If you’re looking for Vietnamese in Queenstown, or a cheaper bite along the foreshore, Saigon Kingdom is the place to go.

The food was wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing with authentic pho flavours. Made me feel nostalgic for home-cooked Southern Vietnamese pho using thinner rice noodles. Came here about 4 times during our Queenstown holiday! Servers are so kind and happy to stop and chat with you (when it's not busy, as it can get pretty packed on the weekends!). Would have loved to see more variety of herbs provided with the pho (though its understandable as most people usually do not ask for herbs). Would recommend going here for anyone visiting Queenstown, it's clearly a local favourite.

We had an excellent dinner at Saigon Kingdom! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food came out quickly. Food was delicious - we had the soy glazed tofu (a highlight of the meal!), lemongrass and chilli chicken and the five spice beef. Lovely flavours in all of them and the staff and chef were excellent in dealing with several food allergies - they were able to adapt all three dishes to cater for allergies. Typical Vietnamese restaurant with traditional cuisine. Our group had beef pho, several spring rolls, mixed meat noodles and stir fried chicken. Not the type of restaurant you would expect at a highly touristy spot at the dock for the Steam Ferry. But I guess tastes are changing. Their food was good and everyone was happy. Their prices were also very affordable. They are also open for lunch unlike the other restaurants beside it.

I ended up pouring Sriracha into the soup. And since that was the main dish, I pulled a few stars. Fresh spring rolls were great and they had Vietnamese beer, which was a nice touch. Service was hit and miss. Great at the beginning.

Had the Pho Bo here. Priced at 15 NZD for a small/ regular bowl, it was quality stuff and quite generous serving of angus beef slices. The noodles were done just right, the beef slices were tender and the broth was really flavourful. A great treat for a cold winter day and something not too heavy as well.

This is hands down the best food i've ever had. The summer rolls and glazed tofu are to die for, we had the satay and the chilli noodles both times because they were so good. Would come back here every time we're in Queenstown. Wish we had asked the waitress's name she was awesome and accommodating both times we went in. Not particularly authentic, more Asian fusion with a heavy Thai influence and the chef uses pre-minced garlic, they lose a star for that; not only is it lazy, it has an aftertaste and it's disrespectful to serve paying customers that, even with food priced so reasonably, I did mention it to the staff, no idea if it my feedback made it to the kitchen. Beef soup was tasty but as I said, more Thai: cinnamon and star anise flavours, instead of the meat broth, aromatic herbs and acid lime kick I expect from Vietnamese (not a sprig of mint in sight lol). Service was friendly, place is attractive, comfortable and clean.

Some of the nicest Vietnamese food I’ve had outside of Vietnam! We had the Pho Ga and the Chicken Laksa noodle soup (the laksa was exceptional) with a glass of NZ white wine. The food arrived very quickly, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are excellent too compared with nearby restaurants. $12/£6 for noodle soup and you can pay an extra $2/£1 to make it an extra large sized portion.

Have had a LOT of Phô in my time and theirs was okay (maybe needed more star anise?) but nothing great - BUT - to be fair vietnamese places seem pretty rare in sth NZ so it was still nice to get some and some cold rolls. What brought it to 5 stars for me was the nice surrounds, very friendly staff and service (some of the best we have had), and nice jasmine tea!
