Amazing food. Burgers were to die for. You have to go and try the beef and bacon burger. Friendly staff but only little thing was very loud music. That was because of a Xmas party. We were told to book in at 6 as it would be much quieter. It wasn't so we sat outside. Otherwise a straight A

My mother and I were walking past and smelled some delicious aromas, so we thought we'd stop for some lunch. They had great variety on the menu, my mother chose the smash burger which she thoroughly enjoyed. I decided upon the chicken and waffles followed by a deep fried mars bar. Wow, delicious. Will be back.

It's ok. We were lured in by the pretty alleyway and covered outdoor seating around a weekday lunch, but we quickly realised that this bar feels more like a late night place for the younger partying people to come drink basic beer and dance to the DJ (there was a booth) and all-around be rowdy. Now, it was pretty empty at lunch, but judging by the state of the bathrooms (graffiti and things held together with tape) and just how the place felt inside and the beer selections available (not to mention half of the taps being sold out), we were only really wanting to have 1 pint and be on our way. But, if you're looking for all of the night-time things we personally try to avoid in our years, this place is probably perfect for you.

Well well, late afternoon after the Remarkables we stumble into the World Bar on Church Lane. Initially for a cold drink and some warmth. Then perusing the menu my partner and I decide on dinner. OMG that was the best decision EVER 💟... I had the Buffalo Chicken Burger , hot spicy and Delicious, Diana had the Southern Fried Chicken Tacos.. her comment " honestly in heaven, best taco I've ever eaten" .. totally impressed. We will be back 🍷🌮🍔🍽😍 dont miss the beautiful little place whilst in Queenstown.

Had the classic burger with fries. A MAZE IING burger. Easily in my top 5 from the last few years..... This burger straight up wasted every other wannabe burger joint I've tried lately, and without the lame hype and gourmet burger joint branding. I would nail one of these every Friday if I could.... anyway check it for yourself. I'm no Queenstown burger expert but if these guys are slingin burger game this hard for $20 with fries I wonder how everyone else is f^%$ing it up so bad.... RESPECT

Always a great vibe with friendly staff. Awesome outdoor area to enjoy a brew in the sun. Historically they’ve done incredible burgers and took out Burger of the Year in Queenstown in 2016. Regretfully I think the quality of the food they put out has dropped significantly since then. The buns don’t seem nearly as fresh as they should be and the burger sizes have dropped. It’s a good burger, but sadly no longer a great one!

Amazing food, went back three days in a row to try everything. Customer service is great, the bartenders remembered us each day. Make sure you get in early as tables fill up quickly in winter.

Nice place to dine as it is slightly out of the way of the hussle and bussle of some of the other eating areas. Great food with good meal sizes. Prices are reasonable also. Be aware though that if eating here you do need to go in and order, as the wait staff only come to take drink orders. We waited a while before learning this information. However would definitely dine here again 😁

Seems like a decent spot, good atmosphere and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately the happy hour discounts were pretty lame and I didn't enjoy the beer. "Edit" I'm unsure how you thought I was after the 'Absolute cheapest place and lowest quality beer', your happy hour discount is on the lowest quality beer I've ever had, my suggestion was merely to maybe drop 1-2 dollars off a decent drop like the supercharger to be more appealing to anyone who likes a decent beer during happy hour, otherwise don't even offer it.

There was also a great DJ The only negative point was that I ordered a beer and the one I got was DEFINITELY skunked and the bar tender said it was fine it was just sitty beer. I used to be a bar tender and I have had that beer before so I know it was just a bad bottle. Didn't ruin the night though!

I really value good live music. I've been here twice, and both times there was a great mix of young and old dancing and singing along to the music. That's the vibe you want in Queenstown. Great place to dance, drink, and make new friends.

Arrived around 1pm and the restaurant was not very busy at all. Ordered promptly and proceeded to wait over 45 mins for our food. We also did not get a salad until everyone else had finished their meal. Jackfruit burger was delicious, chicken and waffles left something to be desired. Chicken had been fried too long and was dark brown. Ceasar salad, when it came, was exceptional. With better, quicker, service it could have been really good. Price was also very good.

When in Queenstown, have a meal at The World Bar & Restaurant. My husband and I sort of stumbled upon this place and walked in without reservation. They serve some really good burgers and the service was prompt and friendly. Curiously, we didn't notice (or can't recall) that "legendary" rude bouncer so many have mentioned here... I also love the cute way they serve their cocktails - in TEAPOTS! However, do not be fooled by the tame façade... The cocktails can be pretty strong! We really enjoyed the good food and lively vibe. So much that we went back the following evening and the wait staff actually recognised us! Do, however, be prepared to wait a bit for your food and drinks, as this is rather a popular place. Perhaps go somewhere else if you're extremely hungry or in a hurry.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Played the great old school 90s classics. Danced the night away. More room to move around Inside and out. Bar staffs English not the greatest so was hard to order drinks but I'm sure it's not like that every night. And fresh water should be supplied from behind the bar though as having an open jar of water for anyone to spike or spit in is very unsafe. Apart from that I enjoyed my time there.

This bar had great vibes and was overall a very unique and fun experience. I was having a great time until one of the bartenders weirdly kept staring at me as I ordered my first beer of the night. He asked me if I was “okay” and I was confused why he was asking me that, but I explained to him that I was totally fine and completely sober. However he still continued to blatantly stare at me for more than 10 minutes straight. He accused me of being on drugs when I was completely sober because he thought my mouth was moving in a weird way when I talked. I am from New York City and apparently I move my mouth more when I talk then the locals here in Queenstown. However the bartender made me feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable about it and acted as though I was very intoxicated just because I spoke differently than the average person he has encountered. It was such an awkward and unusual encounter that I left shortly after. It definitely took away from my overall experience of the bar and generally I would not recommend going here due to the lack of experience and rudeness of the staff.

Nicely decorated place to visit. Although it does say on the menu below the cocktail list they offer the regulars they didn't have the ingredients for a pinacolada so I asked for a white Russian and was asked what's in a white Russian - how I'm supposed to know that being a customer I haven't a clue. She then googled it and figured they didn't have the ingredients for that either and so I asked for bailies and she wasn't sure if she had real bailies of the new zealand version if it. So all in all a nice place but not a proper bar as they don't have a clue about cocktails.

We had burgers & fish & chips and they didn't disappoint. We always pass by this restaurant going to & from our hotel ( Novotel Queenstown Lakeside) and we noticed that there's a crowd everytime. We didn't mind and thought this was really a bar for just drinks and all. So, one evening when we were just too lazy and tired to walk around Queenstown, we decided to try it out - on our last night for dinner! Great decision - food was quite good and we like it. Ambiance is also nice and the wait staff are pretty friendly, accommodating and warm. We were seated inside the bar but there's a lot of "outside seating" - I guess more for the smokers and if you want some music and big chats to go with it. It was a little subdued, a little dim and quiet inside the resto. We loved it and we thought it was the best decision we made rather than sit outside. Will come back here if we will visit Queenstown again. Would highly recommend it, too! Best location: Just beside NOVOTEL Lakeside Queenstown Hotel so if you're checked in here or thinking of checking-in, it's worth trying this place.

I have to agree with the comments that the girls behind the bar are exceptionally rude. I've been here four times and on all four occasions the girls employed at the bar have THE worst attitude. I'm a New Yorker and can handle not having a peppy server but at least be polite! Nevertheless I have been 4 times because the food is that good (with the exception of the veggie burger :p) and we're usually seated by an upbeat guy who's a host so we put up with the negative Nancys pouring our drinks. World Bar, get some new bartenders!

The World Bar - a Queenstown classic. First up, the teapots - simply cocktails served in teapots. And you don't just get a couple of shots from the one pot. And lunch or dinner, they have got you covered - brilliant burgers, including the Mac-Daddy with the mac'n'cheese patty or the award winning mega burger. And the heart stopping, chicken & waffles is my go to for lunch. Great live music and tunes keep going well into the night. An all round great bar and restaurant.

As with everywhere else in Queenstown you cant drink outside after 10pm so if you want a few drinks outside before heading indoora get there early :)

I wanted to takeaway their chicken tacos so I rang them and the WAITRESS told me that they don't do the takeaways for tacos and I believed her and decided I will get it from somewhere else. Then one day I wanted to eat the tacos and I told my partner that "The World Bar" won't do the takeaway but he said that they do. So he rang them and put them on the speaker phone. So my partner asked if we can get the "chicken tacos" for takeaway and the guy on the other side of the phone said "YES YOU CAN" and my partner got the tacos, brought them home for me and I could not believe that the WAITRESS LIED TO ME THE OTHER DAY ABOUT HOW IT'S NOT POSSIBLE FOR TACOS TO BE A TAKEOUT AS THE CHEF SAID THAT THEY NEVER DO THEM AS TAKEAWAY " plus they don't have takeaway boxes to fit the tacos in. This behavior from a staff seriously effects the reputation of the business because I then told my work colleagues that they don't do it and later on that the staff lied. Not a good experience. We have been going in there for meals for years just this one time I felt like for a takeout and I was lied about it. The three stars are for food and the honest guy over the phone. I would have given it 5 star but again it is due to the bad customer service and lie from the waitress the other day.

Well, a fire shut down The World Bar before I was able to experience it, but The Find is its substitute while repairs are made. They still have the teapot specials at 9 p.m. and the staff was friendly during my visits. The bar is a few blocks north above a bar called Loco's.
