Reviews of Yonder
m.
Yes! Wow. Not a vegan, and still had the vegan skillet. Best decision of the day. Amazing mushrooms. Grabbed some sides. The sausages are home made and look like little burger patties.
Great spot. Shame there isn’t a great lake view but if you choose the right seat there is a bit
M.
Delicious and innovative food. The creamy cashew nut mushrooms on hash browns were great. Vegan pancakes too! Lovely service. Great experience. Thanks 😊
S.
Great for breakfast, lunch and whatever else is on the menu. Coffees, water, beer and of course wine available. Staff are great to deal with and the food of course is definitely worth a visit for.
C.
I had french toast and they are so delicious, so soft and moistured inside. And beautiful presentation.
I'll definitely come back in my next time in Queenstown. Latte, hot chocolate and cinnamon muffin ar also recommended.
D.
Great place to grab something to eat with a lovely sunny courtyard. Staff are very friendly and attentive and the food is great! I had the creamy mushrooms for breakfast which were delicious
T.
We got the Pork Benny take away and it was delicious. I love their lemonade as well. Very refreshing
R.
Good location, staff and ambience. I know that chips are not a breakfast food but I was starving so don't judge! I also had the breakfast BAP and it was pretty good. It was actually really hard to decide what to eat but I had to sensible on this visit since we were going on the Go Orange jetboat ride. I'll certainly be going back the next time I'm in Queenstown for sure and will not be scheduling a jetboat cruise right afterwards!
I went back here twice last month - it seems to be the only reasonable brunch place in town.
J.
Really enjoyed this place for the coffee, food, and atmosphere! Highly recommend either the Full Yonder if you're after a big breakfast or the Pork Benny. They do great flat whites with coconut milk, probably the best I had in Queenstown! We kept coming here for our coffees and they were consistently well-made! I found the menu really interesting and would love to eat there again!
N.
Great for brunch, Jalepeño Corn fritters were a hit. Good coffee great service in a chilled out atmosphere. Highly recommend.
C.
Had Vegan Eggplant Bowl, very impressed with the well presented, creative and delicious meal. Hardly find vegan meal without using tofu and beans as main. Even my meat-lover partner that usually fussy for food is "WOW" with the flavour. Nice design of the restaurant, great for photos. Slightly overpriced for lunch but superb experience, will sure return again.
G.
Had a five alive smoothie which was refreshing. The full yonder (big breakfast) however was not quite up to the restaurant's reputation. Sausage and mushrooms were very salty, bacon was over cooked -very dry and hard to chew. Ciabatta was over cooked that it had lost the unique texture and just dry. Tomato was over heated on the outside and not cooked inside. Don't think I will have it again.
On the positive side, staffs were very friendly
N.
My family dined at Yonder for both lunch and dinner and we were all absolutely inlove with the food and the drinks! I'm the only vegan, but my omni family had a few vegan dishes themselves, as they were so yummy!!!😋
Service was great and very friendly!
Can't wait until our next Queenstown visit so I can eat here again! 😃
T.
Hands down the best meal I had while in Queenstown, which is a high bar to beat.
The Miso Eggplant (I got a side of halloumi) was out of this world and the Mango smoothie was excellent!
S.
We shared a delicious vegan burrito from the counter. The photo doesn't do it justice.
M.
Really liked the food, Space and the over all vibe. Good service and good food. I didn’t take the best photos but the food was better than it looks in my photos.
E.
Delicious food, catered to our dietary requirements easily and with plenty of options! We went back several times during our stay in Queenstown, definitely recommend.
J.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff, suitable for large groups with an on-trend family friendly menu. The Bloody Mary was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had :). Definitely worth a visit.
s.
We had our breakfast here twice when visiting Queenstown and really enjoyed it. The food is yum and the place has a very happy vibe. Plenty of options for vegetarian/vegans too.
O.
Great breakfast. The eggplant bowl is very healthy and its vegan friendly. I am not vegan but still enjoy it. Feels like it serves with pactful nutrition. Very fulfiling. I never know vegan food can be serve this way
T.
What a funky place for brunch, but it works and the food delivers. Most of the other reviewed brunch places in QT either looked a bit pretentious or had dark holes that were not inviting to anyone while Yonder truly had lots of great happy vibing spaces for any time of the day.
The team seemed happy to be there and the food was delicious.
K.
The absolute best vegan breakfast I’ve ever had. Could not recommend this place more. Great vibe. So many vegan options and the staff are amazing! 🌱🥰
C.
Amazing brunch spot! We sat outside and it was so lovely. The pork benny was very flavorful and filling.
S.
Yonder is a must-do for vegan brunch in Queenstown.
We had a blueberry muffin, which was incredibly moist and topped with a just-sweet-enough frosting, a chocolate chip cookie, the pancakes and vegan butty.
Everything was exceptional, but the muffin and pancakes were my favorites.
The only bummer was that their in-person menu was missing a few items that were shown on their website. I'd love to try the vegan scram or winter porridge if those are back on next time we're in town!
J.
The best cafe in town! Great place to recommend friends/family...quality and portion size are reasonable and value for money. Atmosphere indoor and outdoor very rustic and modern...Staffs are quick to make your orders. A definite must try if you're ever in ZQN! Food and coffee was great! Variety of coffee avail including Chai Latte is so smooth and velvety.
J.
The descriptions of items were a little unclear, for example three different descriptions for fries which I believe are all the same thing. The food was pretty good but I felt the flat white was a bit too milky.
A.
Delicious! I ate the best French Toast I had in New Zealand after 2 years. Offering that quality breakfast would deserve a real maple syrup ;) Cheers!
M.
Delicious spot for coffee and breakfast. Got the vegan pancakes which had a strong buckwheat flavor but was balanced with the sweet berries and sauces. Was too sweet in my opinion but others liked it. Corn and jalapeno fritters and poached eggs were also delicious. Bacon could be less fatty and crispier. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the lime sauce was really nice. Both plates were filling. Turmeric latte was smooth and creamy.
J.
Food was mean today. A bit too much ice in my coke to be honest, but that's my bad for not saying no ice. Really good on the sanitising and cleaning but it did effect wait times for ordering food after we got our drinks.
L.
Delicious food - loved the beef brisket, and the fries were best ever! Helpful staff and nice atmosphere. 10/10 - would recommend to anyone.
J.
Great service and great atmosphere. A really nice outdoors area and a charming indoors space. Excellent coffees and a good selection of drinks. The food was nice but not amazing, although their prices are very reasonable for the location and environment.
S.
Great selection of beers, awesome live music and amazing food. The miso, hummus and eggplant dish was healthy and a great combination of flavours. Would definitely be back for more.
R.
Ordered the Vegetarian pancakes and Bap vege burger with Tofu. Tofu was done VERY nicely, we'll seasoned with good sauce. I recommend that. Pancakes were nice too if you are really hungry (too much). Overall good environment to sit and chill. Staff could be nicer but I guess they were over busy so forgot to smile. Would recommend!
C.
Incredible coffee, delicious food, great vibes. Really enjoyed a late brunch here, and would love to return for some late night cocktails!
E.
Supreme coffee, yummy food and a bustling vibe. Cool interior and a nice courtyard. Excellent loose leaf tea and an open fire both perfect on a chilly day.
H.
Wide variety of brunch food. Had salad, wagyu sandwich, French toasts, pancakes, and salmon bowl. All the food were very delicious and the aesthetic is well thought. Ambience is amazing and well decorated with plants, flowers, and drawings. Salmon melts in your mouth, waygu with generous amount of cheese and sweet onions is so flavorful. Open air seatings had heat radiators to warm up the place.
E.
Friendly service, great coffee and delicious breakfast!
They had a good mix of items on their menu (not just your average eggs on toast)! While also catering really well to dairy free/gluten free and vegan eaters!
Thank you Yonder :)
M.
Delicious hip spot in Queenstown. Great food and drinks and live music. Cozy, friendly atmosphere. Can be loud. Has back patio with heaters. They also serve breakfast that looks great but have not tried yet.
R.
Great takeout breakfast, we will be back for a sit-down meal!
Update: We came back for dinner and oh my gosh. The food was absolutely amazing! Try the bao buns, you won't regret it (and it was blue, so cool). The food has a wonderful fresh taste on the palette, not too heavy, but very filling. We'll be back again.....
T.
We ordered the Prosecco and lavender syrup cocktail, the garlic Cheese pull part bread and that was Also amazing, the sauce that came with it was delicious, would definitely buy again.
F.
This is on my must visit list every single time I’m in town on a ski trip. One of the best brunches around, with my favourite being the waffles if you’re into sweet things that look out of this world. Outside seating is an absolute favourite with the heated bench seating and heaters on, while being wrapped in suitable clothing and with even more suitable company. Great for big and small groups (mine was 9 people)
J.
This place is beautiful, an amazing soundtrack and a heartbeat away from the stunning lake which looks like something out of legend. The coffee was the perfect temperature and tasted remarkably good. I also had a beautiful scone which rocked my socks.
HOWEVER, the one criticism is that the food did not arrive at the same time. My partner's eggs didn't come for about 35 minutes till after I had my scones and I was close to cancelling the order. It was a busy place so it gets a pass this one time.
J.
Loved their atmosphere. Coffee was nice. Food was tasty and plating was good too. Staffs were friendly. Visited twice while we were in town. Wanted to try everything on their menu.
C.
Used to really enjoy coming here, but they recently changed so much of the menu. They had some amazing mushroom tacos on the old menu. Firm believer of if it ain't broke don't fix it!
n.
Easily the best vegan pancakes I've ever had! Those berries...yum. this dish will not disappoint. Coffee is good too and the atmosphere makes this place a standout in Queenstown. Decor is modern meets mid-century.
C.
Visited yonder following a recommendation. And it was really worth the visit. Staff was great giving much attention towards any needs with a smile and food was awesome. I had a chicken bun, roster potatoes and at least a smoked chocolate mousse. While the first too were quite good highly recommend the latter as a must. Prices were reasonable, especially given the quality. Enjoy!
N.
Awesome choices for all food types. I had the vegan jalapeno fritters with roast corn - most excellent!!
M.
Nice spot, great food and friendly staff.
I was here with friends - I've day for lunch - the other for breakfast. It was delicious food and the coffee great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back again
M.
This restaurant was one of the best lunches I had in my 5 days in Queenstown. Fresh, beautifully presented, topped up with friendly and timely service. The marinated tuna salad with warm brown rice, ginger and seaweed was heavenly. The pulled lamb on flat bread was pretty good too. We also had 2 exotic drinks: charcoal latte in coconut milk and 7-year sour rum cocktail. Both delicious. They don't call themselves experimental kitchen for nothing. You have to try these innovations! We went in autumn and there was hardly any waiting time. The place was clean, tidy, attractive and very pleasant even outdoors. It exceeded all our expectations.
H.
Lovely staff, awesome food and drinks. Shout out to the very special Amanda and Alex! Can't wait to come back
倪.
woderful place on a rainy day🤩 love it
T.
It took us a while to find the place. It was right in front of us but the map was confusing!
Went in for breakfast. We had the pork benny. The pork was well cooked and seasoned. The addition of chilli and siracha was clever.
The atmosphere was quirky and interesting.
D.
Very nice food but the coffee was terrible. All the coffees we ordered (flat white, cappuccino and mocha) were burnt
Z.
Best vegan pancakes I've ever had.🥞 Amazing vibes. Heated seats. Friendly staff. 😍
K.
Had pretty high expectations for this place but unfortunately nothing really stood out... Blue Cod Ceviche doesn't taste fresh. The eggplants and briskets are both pretty good.
E.
I came in for dinner on Wednesday night and the food was absolutely amazing. We had the loveliest waitress as well. She had black hair and it was pulled back in a clip. She was very accommodating for our needs and made our night very enjoyable. Would highly recommend this venue.
S.
We tried the new menu and it was delicious, good service and great vibes. It’s breakfast done a bit differently. Vegans and vegetarians are catered for very well! It also looks like it turns into a great bar at night!
J.
6 of us went out for dinner and every person at the table loved their food and drinks! Everything was packed with flavour and very fresh. A must do whilst in Queenstown
S.
Oh my gosh! So delicious. I had the Yonder big breakfast and it was super tasty. My partner had the nourish bowl and she said it one of the best breakfasts she has had in a while. It there is a queue don't worry as it moves very quickly.
Epic bloody Mary as well! ♥️
L.
Arrived for brunch around 1130ish in a Friday - not too busy a time, but we were warned that there was a half hour delay on getting food out (we had nowhere better to be, but appreciated the heads up.) Ample seating in the back room. Food was fresh and deliciously prepared - I kept it simple with eggs and foccacia, but the corn fritters (both versions) were also well received. Pretty good cup of coffee. Maple and Mezcal cocktail was a nice brunch drink to balance out the meal. Atmosphere and deco was pretty chill and relaxing, and music allowed conversation.
Would happily return on my next visit to Queenstown.
f.
Trendy place for a snack, meal or drinks. We went there for a few quick drinks during happy hour and got the fried cheesy dough balls as a snack. They were delicious and exactly suited for a cold winter’s evening. Service was okay - not as good as I have come to expect from Queenstown though.
A.
Nice spot for breakfast! Just wished there were some non vegan alternatives as it takes the fun out of the food! Would still recommend!!
J.
Really different breakfast menu, whole family loved it. Relaxed and quirky 'local' vibe, music not too loud, we went to Yonder for breakfast twice in three days! Lovely staff.
M.
Very hearty vegan bowl with every ingredient under the sun to make a scrumptious tangy delight for a reasonable price - ordered the AA Bowl. The vibe of the café took me to Melbourne.
L.
How cafes need to be. Yonder rocks. Heaps of seating inside and out. Great vibey music and very comprehensive menu. Staff attentive and warm. Thank you QT again you impress. Food, coffee excellent as well!
I.
Was looking for somewhere for lunch with a menu that worked for a vegetarian and a lactose intolerant person. Yonder exceeded and delighted. Home made lemonade on the front terrace watching the world walk by came pronto. Good coffee was soon delivered too. Lunches were well presented and delicious and generous. Highly recommend this great, casual place where the emphasis is obviously on good, wholesome food.
d.
Stumbled across this hidden gem! The food is next level quality! Very interesting combo's that work!
The tacos were amazing! My grilles chicken focaccia was very strong in taste, but lovely! The chips were the BOM didgity!
B.
Very tasty, well prepared breakfast 😊 french sweat toste and Benny pork with eggs and jalapeno were very delicious 😊 the music was bit to loud for the time of the day to me, but I guess that's the style of this place - speaking of which - nicely designed premise 😊
R.
Delish. What a fun, funky place. I had the Waygu Skirt Steak which was outstanding. My husband had the miso baked eggplant which was also apparently very tasty.
A.
Love yonder! Food is spectacular and great for vegans! Eaten here many times with many people and always been a win.
E.
Very popular counter service ordering place and in high demand. We came here for coffee and a breakfast, but due to popularity we were told that ordering egg on toast would take 45 min! We than changed our order to coffee and scones. These tasted fine. This place has a nice outdoor terrace shielded from the wind and it warmed up fast. Good ambiance.
E.
My breakfast was amazing!.. I had Delicious pancakes with apple crumble topping and my favourite.. Coconut cream whip on the side... Coffee was so good I had to have two cups.
Really warm and friendly staff too.
B.
Stopped by for lunch after seeing an ad on the airplane. Its located in the McNeill's Cottage (the plaque is by the door). The place was nice and cosy and the staff were really friendly, giving us time to look through the menu. We were sat by the fireplace but there was a door that seems to lead to a larger dining area.
The hot chocolate wasn't bad but it wasn't very chocolatey. The tuna poke bowl was nice. Liked the wakame salad that went with it and the quinoa gave it a different texture to the rice. Nice and fresh.
Having a power plug and USB charger at each table was a good touch so this would be a really good place to spend the day to work and snack.
D.
Great downtown location, enjoyed the meal that I had. It was a bit loud for my liking even though we were sitting outside. Definitely would go back there.
C.
Always good vibes down Yonder, never disappointed! Love the healthy food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner (as well as the vegan/gluten-free cafe treats). It is so awesome that there are different aspects for everyone to enjoy, like yoga in the morning or dancing the night away!
S.
Came in around 11 for brunch. Staff was very nice. Plenty of seating and food was all very good! This was the French toast! A little small for the stroller to fit but it wasn’t a big deal.
M.
Had a great night here. The food was beautiful, the setting was great and the staff were fun! The live band afterwards was unexpected but brilliant! My only qualm was that the food came out altogether and really quickly.
N.
Yonder is an amazing dining experience any time of day. the key point is that they do great food that caters for people with dietary requirements like gluten free, vegetation or vegan.
The vibe of the place is outstanding; its split into the outdoor area that capitalises on Queenstowns majestic views and feel, there is then the cottage which is a great little coffee spot and then the rear bar area which is dominated by a roaring fire.
We went on a number of occasions trying breakfast, the gluten free pancakes are silky and smooth, the berry compote is cool and tangy. The corn fritters are so tastey you will think your in the US about to get on a John Deere.
For dinner there is live music and possibly the best pork belly in Queenstown.
Overall - if your in Queenstown do yourself a favour and try Yonder any time of day. They even do great cocktails over live music.
E.
Easily the best brunch I have had in a long time. I chose the corn fritters which was superb. The chef is very creative. My partner chose scrambled eggs with chorizo. Her hash browns were off the scale. Coffee was great. Service was impeccable. Smiling, well presented and attentive wait staff just topped it off. Nice work guys.
C.
Absolutely brilliant café /bar /eatery. Food is stunning and the service impeccable. Prices very reasonable and a terrific ambience /music as well. A must visit when in Queenstown, you won't be disappointed 😃
S.
Yonder will do the trick for most occasions:
-Coffee & computer time (they have wifi)
-Brunch with friends
-Grab a drink
Though none of their dishes blow my mind, they do have solid vegan options.
In the evening, secondhand smoke outside is a problem.
E.
The food is delicious: I had an avocado toast. I do wish there would be something else in re plate, maybe a tomato or something. The coffee was really good too.
Most of the staff is super qualified, you could see the bartender defying gravity and the chefs are working so hard but some of the waitresses are definitely scattered. I wanted to get the fritters and make it vegetarian by removing the bacon - which is clearly intended and labeled as an option on the menu - but the lady taking my order seemed completely lost and inflexible and refused to do it. Shame.
T.
Absolute gem of a place! It's a cafe, restaurant, live music venue, and bar - sounds like a lot but it all works harmoniously together to create a very cool space.
The menu changes seasonally but some firm favourites usually remain.
Every time I am in Queenstown this is my go-to-spot to do some work and to meet friends. There is plenty of seating, WiFi, and the staff are so accommodating to all.
Coffee was great, the cabinet food is scrumptious if you're looking for something quick or light to eat but my recommendation is to try something new and different off the brunch menu. This time around I ventured out of my tastebud comfort zone and sampled the widely popular Vegan Butty - and boy was I impressed! It was filling, the crispy tofu was awesome, caramelised onion gave the butty flavour depth and a nice sweet contrast.
If they have a live event on definitely worth stopping by but my personal choice is to always come here during the day for the chill ambiance and tasty fare.
J.
After a friend recommended this place and we randomly walked past we decided to stop in and it was 100% worth it. Good beers on happy hour and we had an amazing eggplant dish that I still think about months later.
N.
Such great food! If you are bored of the standard cafe fare this is the place for you. Their take on bubble and squeak was fantastic. Really worth a visit. Great atmosphere, friendly team and wonderful food.
J.
Big fan of the food here. Lots of vegan friendly options. Need to come back and try dinner!
A.
Great atmosphere, staff and portions. But I don't think the food was amazing compared to other local brunch places.
B.
Definitely a popular spot. Went for lunch on Good Friday was v busy. I think a place popular with Aucklanders. Good service, food okay.
J.
Super yum breakfast meals. Attentive staff and quick service even when a bit busy. Cafe was unique and well decorated too.
P.
Friendly staff and great vegan options. I had the vegan butter. It was delicious. Good coffee too.
H.
I had the nourish bowl & it was absolutely phenomenal, 100% vegan & probably the best dish on the menu too! Easily the best food I’ve had over our 10 days of traveling NZ. My hubby got the Mexican scramble (also vegan) & he said it was better than mine at home which he tells me loves (heh). We are going back tonight for dinner. They have story slam & music nights on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights.
Update: we came here a few more times (stayed 3 nights in Queenstown, ate here 4 times) & we think it’s easily the best place for vegan eats. I had the Mexican scramble & it beats the nourish bowl. It’s SO good. & the tofu bao bun is also delicious. I’d only get the hummus plate if you love all varieties of hummus as they were a bit much for us!
N.
Amazing place to start the day. Great atmosphere and chill music, lots of space, not too loud, friendly staff, quick and helpful service.
Not to mention delicious coffee and food, plenty on the menu.
I will definitely be going back.
P.
We chose this restaurant randomly and fell in love. Outdoor patio area with a live band and great atmosphere. If you are vegetarian, the tacos are to die for here.
A.
Amazing food. Their blueberry pancakes are the best pancakes I've ever had. Staff are lovely and friendly. Totally recommended.
J.
Great food and coffee! Great gluten-free options
c.
I go to Yonder a fair bit and am always happy with the food. Really appreciate how all the staff have been so friendly and helpful. Top notch!
D.
I stopped in for a coffee and bite after reading all the great reviews, and I was so glad I did!
Delicious food (I had the braised pork bene), with pretty plating, and excellent pace of service. The coffee was perfect. I'll be back as soon as I can!
A.
Nice funky decor and a wide range of food options - vegetarian friendly for those interested. Wait time was 45 minutes and the value for money was not great considering the portion size compared to the price.
A.
#trendy great spot with cool beers, drinks and food. They recently changed their menu but when we came they hadn’t fully come up to speed on the new menu so some of the stuff was unavailable such as certain drinks and dessert items. The food we had was delicious though! Great spot to drop into if you’re in Queenstown.
E.
The breakfast tacos here were great. Really good sized cake portions too, so we ate one and kept the other for later!
D.
Great place, great range of food to choose from even at lunch time. Extremely tasty and good portions.
S.
Definetly a recommendation! Super fancy nice looking and delicious food, good drinks, friendly staff and a fast and professional service. Definetly worth a visit if you're in Queenstown.
B.
Fresh, tasty and colourful in a buzzy atmosphere. Lamb flat bread is great and the fried chicken tasted awesome. Good range of beer and friendly service 👍
D.
Coffee is alright, wish staffs are more open and friendly, great location, vibe is good in outdoor seating area, haven't seated inside.
S.
Amazing "The Collab Vegan Burger" for lunch! Delicious and very filling.
Beetroot, mushroom, and tempeh patty. Miso cheese, corn fritter, pickled red onion, salad, special vegan sauce on house baked blue bun.
L.
It is the beautiful place and the food is delicious, I really enjoyed my lunch, it was the spectacular dish with an eggplant and very friendly stuff. Thank you guys for your good job.
Highly recommend this place.
A.
Best mocha I've had in aaaages! Food was also delicious. Lovely staff and cool space.
A.
Best. Pancakes. EVER.
A.
Absolutely love, come here every time I go to Queenstown. Something for everyone. Came for dinner and breakfast two different meals but both so amazing! Would highly recommend.
C.
Pulled pork eggs benedict with siracha sauce, or with Salmon. Devine.
L.
Great vegan options. Had the cookie (amazing) and the vegan butty (also amazing) and coffee (also... amazing). Was really pleasantly surprised to find this spot, as it can be hard to replicate the choice in Wellington! You guys hit the nail on the head! Well done and keep killin it!
E.
Visited Yonder for lunch after googling food places to visit in Queenstown; we were looking for fresh, healthy options and this did not disappoint. Food was super good! (We got burgers). Will be back!
H.
Overall a good experience. I had delicious calamari and bao buns with tofu and shared some greens. My dining partner had the lamb flatbread pizza which she found too intense in flavour (and commented that it would have been better as a deconstructed dish so the diner could mix elements to their taste and manage intensity). Good service and a good price.
Y.
Awesome crowded joint, friendly staffs, yummy food, great location in the heart of tourist area in the city centre of Queenstown & the Wakapitu Lake😘
F.
First time trying Yonder this morning and it did not disappoint! Amazing food, coffee and service. I had the pancakes and practically licked the plate. All dietary needs are colour coded beside each dish, which makes ordering alot easier! Good coffee aswell, so extra brownie points! Cakes looked good also. Unfortunately I had to decline them this morning! An excuse to go back!!(not that I need one!) Top notch!!
I.
We were waiting our order 50 min ((((
Service 3,5 out of 5
Food 4
Atmosphere and location over the top
D.
Came in for a take away coffee. Would not recommend this cafe for this purpose. Whilst the vibe was nice and the food coming put of the kitchen looked and smelled good, the coffee was not so good, and the wait was about 10 minutes.
F.
Went there to have dinner. It's a trendy place with quite a few tap beers and a nice wine selection. The menu is also nice as they try to cater to different diets and have something for everyone. The food was good and the price seemed reasonable. The service was also attentive and overall a good experience.
R.
I got the dragon bowl and it was delicious! The Pitaya was very cold though. The ambience and decoration is gorgeous.
B.
A must place to chill and eat
Great friendly service with a simple and perfect menu. Massive bonus that the staff here actual understand the food that the chefs have put together and care about it .
Bread dough balls and brisket was a winner.
G.
If it says anything about it, I didn't take any pictures which is quite rare. For a big and small sharing plates restaurant, the portions are laughable like broccolini being like 5 scrawny pieces on a big plate for a huge price markup... Maybe it's for the sauce 🙄. Honestly, I was less impressed than we hoped for with its high ratings and once I realised it was affiliated with the World Bar next door, it made more sense from a brand perspective of what we'd get. Did have live music and a heated outdoor area but still, honestly not going to fuss about going again if anybody wanted
l.
A very warm and inviting cafe. Lots of vegan options, the vegan pancakes were the bomb!
L.
Great service and atmosphere! We sat in the outdoor area which was perfect for the midday sun. The food came quickly but we did not feel rushed to leave, which is always nice. The smoothies were excellent - very refreshing. I ordered the avocado toast, this came out in two slices on ciabatta with a generous amount of avocado, some micro greens, and some fresh lemon slices. It could have done with some salt and pepper - but I simply added this myself at the table. The food is reasonably priced, especially for the location of the restaurant.
D.
DELICIOUS! Plenty of delicious vegan options. Excellent service & friendly staff.
F.
The food here is amazing! The vibes are great! On the slightly more expensive side but totally worth it!!!
D.
Really yummy brunch place on Queenstown and a really nice venue as well. The picture below is the corn fritters which were really yummy. Ask for more of the sauce as there wasnt enough for me!
J.
Service was slow for a weekday morning but the buckwheat pancakes were great. Amazing space and interior with so much lush greenery, most beautiful breakfast cafe in Queenstown.
K.
Great place for brunch. Okay club at night
S.
Best coffee in Queenstown. Nice out door seating area with a smoking section if you need you caffeine and nicotine fix together. Also have indoor and non smoking area. Try the dolche leche sweet. It was incredible and never eaten anything like it before.
S.
Lovely food, well presented and very tasty but the servicer seemed to be a bit confused as to the difference between starters and mains. The food was so good though it needed a second visit.
T.
Excellent brunch spot, sunny patio and outdoor space.
M.
The food was delicious and the outdoor seating couldn’t be beat. Dog friendly too!
A.
Good food and great drinks that are delicious and affordable but it’s the atmosphere here that makes the restaurant one to visit. It’s busy enough to start off a night but not so packed that you feel rushed. Honestly the cocktails here are so yummy - I would say one of the best in Queenstown!
P.
Nice dinner enjoyed by all out group. We dined outside under cover, next to a heater - even blankets supplied to keep you toasty. Good banter with our waiter! Thanks!
N.
Great service. Fantastic coffee. Highly recommended.
S.
Good place for relaxing and have a great breakfast.
R.
staffs were friendly, food were great.
I do love Latte so much.
M.
Awesome food, awesome drinks. Definitely a place to visit!
K.
Great food and service awesome flavor on the vegan burger
B.
Decent pricing great food. The breakfast tacos alone are worth going here!
E.
Amazing food!! Highly recommend. I went for breakfast, and dinner both were delicious.
L.
Amazing brunch here! Service was a little slow but we were told that would be the case when we ordered. The fries are delish!
J.
Love the ambiance and love the breakfast!!! great job guys
A.
Good food with some variety for different tastes, pleasant staff, good setting.
R.
Absolutely amazing food and cocktails. We came here to celebrate my birthday and loved it so much that we came back again then next night. Tried to come back for a third time but there was a function on. Crispy cauliflower bites were to die for. Espresso Martinis were just sooo delicious and the vegan tacos were so divine. Can not wait to come back again!
M.
Wow! This place should be #1 in Queenstown for brunch. Perfect brunch, excellent coffee and a very nice array of seating areas make this a very enjoyable and relaxing place to eat or stop by for a coffee.
A.
So delicious and a great atmosphere! I would highly recommend Thanks team!
M.
Great spot, nice food. It's my favorite place in Queenstown
We tried the brownie and it's awesome!
J.
Very good food! We ordered the corn fritters and pork eggs bene. Came out in a good time from the kitchen. Eggs cooked perfectly, home made english muffin was great. Really enjoyed our visit!
T.
Walked in hoping for a table, got there just as the Chefs were switching between the daily menus. Had a great pint of Guinness while we waited, and was well woth the short wait. Amazing food, and brilliant service. Special shout out for our server (Brittish accent), she made sure our kids were kept entertained and we were happy with our meals. Best chicken tacos I've ever had, regret not being able to finish them all. Wished I'd tipped too! Will be back for sure!!
C.
Had a turmeric latte and a vegan ramen. Perfect spot for a rainy and snowy day in Queenstown. Loved the labelled vegan and GF options!
H.
Unfortunately not worth the hype. Food was lovely, so was the setting but some of the worst service. For a place that has a lot of staff you would think there would be one friendly person however that was not the case.
E.
Honestly the best French toast I've had in my life.
D.
Went for dinner and had the most amazing experience from all the staff. The girl with pink hair has exceptional customer service skills and makes you feel so welcome. Food was amazing too.
R.
Great bao buns, cocktails and atmosphere. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. What more could you want?
O.
Great place for both brunch and dinner.
s.
Really cool vibe. Seems to have cheaper cocktails then the rest of Queenstown while still maintaining the taste and aesthetic. Our waitress was lovely and did a really good job of building rapport. I ordered the nachos, which for the first half of the meal were great. But way more chips than things to put on them and most of the chips turned to mush. Probably could do with a few more mains on their menue.
M.
Great looking venue with plenty of seating options, fantastic menu with a number of sweet and savoury delights including vegan meals. The one letdown was the service. With two young kids, we were not very taken care of. It was guesswork with seating, table service and helping yourself. Spotted colouring pencils on the back wall behind the counter, but nothing was offered to us. Plenty of staff onboard, but not friendly or helpful in our case.
L.
Amazing food and service, and awesome atmosphere - the interior is stunning. The coffee was really good, one of the best I've had!
J.
The atmosphere is airy, welcoming and feels inviting. The staff were pleasant and warm. The order was fritters. Unfortunately, too much flour in the mix, clot and sticking to the roof of your mouth with under seasoning noted. The jalapeño sauce was clever and refreshing. Bacon was cooked nicely and the poached egg was perfect. Coffee was above average. Good work team - taste, taste taste that mix! :D
J.
Nice breakfast pancakes and cappuccino. Go early because it gets busy and remember to order inside.
S.
Awesome place, will definitely be back. Variety of meals to suit everyone, I had probably the best bacon butties I’ve ever had. Lovely staff and great atmosphere
B.
Our go to place for delicious breakfast by the fire. We came here numerous times for the food and great ambience!
Love it
J.
Very good food and coffee.
They should focus on keeping the outdoor tables cleared of food and dishes once people leave the table. The birds are a problem and not a very pleasant experience to be eating while birds a scavenging nearby.
M.
Really tasty food! My partner and I love this place, portions are a good size and they do awesome plant based food too, highly recommended. This is pork benny ❤
t.
Just been there today
Can't speak highly of them.
A must visit while in queenstown.
Really nice staff and the food is divine.
Really good vegan options at a good portion and the level of taste is hard to find.
N.
Great food, coffee, atmosphere and service. The staff were so kind and gracious with my special requests. Something here for everyone!
H.
It was ok. The food was very slow to come out and wasn’t anything spectacular. The coffee was good but all in all the place felt a bit overhyped
R.
A mixed review from me... My partner absolutely loved his meal and the ambience is great! Unfortunately my vege nachos were very, very disappointing which was on the heels of having initially been given the wrong meat version which is pretty gross for a committed vegetarian! The service was friendly and helpful but also seemed slow and chaotic.
T.
Amazing food, great prices and even better coffee. Atomic coffee is already a good brew with food.
C.
Tasty brunch. The french toast is very sweet but super yummy and excellent portion. The corn fritters were different to what I expected as instead of fritters they were small croquette type things with puree'd corn in them. Tasty just not what I had pictured. Coffee was nice and service was good. Nice settings and cool venue
R.
Awesome food, fast service, and all friend ly faces!!!! Will be back!
C.
A great place for coffee, lunch, evening meal or drinks. LOVE the tumeric lattes... can we bring back the charcoal lattes too?!! The food is always top notch. Great vibe and friendly staff. The live music on Friday nights is a great start to the weekend.
M.
Good service and atmosphere, but I didn't really enjoy the food.
N.
The food was yummy and well presented. Great number of vegan dishes. The staff will go the extra mile to meet your needs. Can highly recommend
N.
Love, love, love Yonder coffee. I went back for their coconut milk gingernut lates . . . More than I'm willing to admit
S.
I've found Queenstown is not full of healthy vegan options. Was so good to find Yonder -i highly recommend
J.
After reading up on the best brekky places to go to in Queenstown, we decided to go to Yonder. It certainly didn't disappoint! I 100% recommend the chipotle chilli scramble. It was incredible. We will definitely be back again before we leave.
l.
We came in for dinner, the atmosphere was great and the staff were so friendly, drinks including the homemade lemonade were to die for so front of house top marks 5 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately the 3 stars is for the kitchen, the edamame beans were unfortunately drowning in at least 5 tablespoons of oil with far less flavour than they could have had. The chicken salad was a confusing dish made up of Asian fusion elements thrown into a traditional Caesar salad. The one redeeming element was the fish tacos to which all 3 stars go. I would be interested in dinin there again in the hopes it could be better. However. I would not order the same thing again. Hope none of this is seen as rude it is only meant to be constructive.
R.
Delicious breakfast food that filled us up. I personally enjoyed the steak sandwich. A unique atmosphere that provides a laid-back feeling. Worth the wait--and given its popularity as a morning stop, there will likely be a wait.
m.
Nice to see so many delicious real vegan options on a menu. The breakfast was so nice we returned again the same day for dinner. The cute cottagey front of the building and outdoor area is completely different from the rear which turns into a live music and dance venue in the evening.
We’ll be back.
D.
The corn fritters. Oh my goodness. Way too good! They have a legend for their menu for any dietary restrictions you might have. Gluten-free, vegan, dairy, etc. A must try breakfast spot after a night out in rowdy Queenstown. Great coffee too!
R.
What a complete gem of a place. It was our breakfast go-to for delicious, fresh food, excellent and friendly service and particularly good coffee. Dinner tonight was a real treat with live music and some 70's sing-along classics. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Don't not go, you'll thank me.
W.
Perfect for sporting events with large screen TV's and good at atmosphere
T.
First time I dined here and was not disappointed. Came with a group of friends that are vegan as Yonder had a great selection of vegan food. I also have specific requirements and the layout of the menu was clear so was able to easily see whether dishes were suitable to my needs. Will definitely be back to sample more of the menu. Great atmosphere and great food.
D.
Good service. Eggs Bene was very nice but pancakes weren't to our preference. Worth checking out.
J.
Lovey atmosphere with lots of people. The menu is very large with a great selection for brunch. I didn't receive the coffee I ordered, however the one I did get was still made perfectly and was delicious. Thanks Yonder, see you next time!
⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2
R.
Great morning spot for breakfast. Sun was pouring in outside, heaters on to keep the wind chill down. Great coffee. And best dish was the Chilli Scram.
A.
Came here for dinner with a group of six and really enjoyed the laid back vibes of yonder. The food was good but we could have made better choices - enjoyed the miso pumpkin bites and should have skipped the Brazilian beef - but our friends really liked the vegan tacos. Overall, a very chill, Whistler-esquire ambiance, with come-as-you-are mentality and great service.
C.
Our overall thoughts on this place were that the looks were more important than the taste. The restaurant was beautiful—a gorgeous patio that was full of cigarette smoke unfortunately, and a huge mural inside that we loved! Our cocktails were pretty but wayyy too sweet. And each of the dishes we ordered were well presented and sounded great on the menu. But unfortunately what followed was very average: Cheesey beer dough knots barely had any cheese on them. Japanese fried chicken had been overcooked so badly it had lost all flavor. Crispy smashed potatoes were undercooked and hardly crispy. I could go on. Each dish we had had a similar problem. Several items we asked for were unavailable. Had high hopes but again it seemed that the optics of everything couldn’t overcome the average flavors.
R.
Yonder is such a cool vibe. The cafe has been done really nicely and the outside area provides heating so it can be enjoyed even on cold and rainy days. The coffee is really good as is the food with some cool twists on my old favourites. Highly recommend.
I.
Really yum dinner here and super friendly! Everything was super tasty and plenty of variety :)
S.
Absolutely amazing vegan food and a great atmosphere
R.
Absolutely fantastic service and delicious meals! All came out at once and were perfect. Range of vegan options which suited my sister very well. Cocktails were also super tasty. Great vibe and overall quality dining experience.
J.
Great food. Awesome atmosphere.
D.
Coffee was nice and strong. Bacon butty was also really good. Would rec
L.
Strolled past and the menu looked great. Ordered the flash fried calamari, eat your greens and the brisket. They were all 5/5. So much flavour. Came out quickly! Such great service. Couldn't be happier will come back everyday if we could 😍. Best food since being in Queenstown. The cocktails!
Plus the outdoor seats are heated. 🤯
I.
Loved this cafe! An excellent brunch in a wonderful setting. The decor is great and it was wonderful having four different areas to sit in. Good drinks menu and you're able to enjoy a breakfast cocktail!
J.
A cute and trendy cafe with spacious seating areas. I had a chai latte on a chilly day and it was yum.
P.
Nice Cafe . . . . Heated concrete seats outside were a pleasant surprise . . . Food was good and the coffee excellent
A.
Cool place nice atmosphere food was okay, coffee not that great. Milk wasn’t hot enough so had that waxy after taste. Food was okay but forgot maple syrup for the kids pancakes, forgot the side order of hollandaise and I know it’s picky but butter needs to placed on the toast or on the side.
Service was great though, gave us kids menus, and rectified the forgotten items straight away with no issue.
C.
Had a great lunch here. It's counter service, and the queue can get long (especially with difficult customers ahead of you) however the drinks and food were fast to arrive and our special requests were adhered to without issue. I'd happily return and try a few more options off their menu.
M.
Reallllllly yummy Brunch! We had the French toast and the corn and jalapeño fritters + a long black and latte - would eat these a million times over! Other food looked good too. Friendly service and cool decor / very warm on a cold rainy morning! Loved it!
C.
Had the best bloody Mary there! Great setting in central Queenstown
C.
A great environment, and food was excellent. Unfortunately let down by service. Multiple staff walked past dirty tables etc multiple times without blinking twice, including the manager. Long waits for food and drink. An experience, but unlikely to return.
V.
Breakfast was great and super friendly service.
C.
Best French toast I've ever had.
J.
Went with a group of 14 this morning. No booking. Looked just busy enough at the outside seating but went in to find a great table for us all to sit at by the kitchen pass.
It was amazing food served promptly considering they were busy! Value for money. Staff fantastic! Highly recommend!
Couldn't believe for the size of kitchen how well the staff worked! Cheers to everyone on staff. We will be back. Maybe not all at the same time tho 😉
D.
All diet friendly with excellent presentation. Cocktails are unique and can't go wrong with the beer/wine section. Atmosphere and music was my favorite part. Vegan tacos and pumpkin miso superb
K.
We have had the best time in this amazing oasis. Excellent service.. Great food.. Great drinks.. Great music.. And warmed seats. What's not to love. Thankyou guys. Keep doing what you do 😊😊
A.
Brilliant food, very kind staff. Only 1 star less because the music speaker was a bit loud to have a conversation. Other than that, absolutly recommend
S.
Cool vibe and atmosphere but the food was really average. Ordered fritters for lunch that came out deep fried and pretty inedible (not crispy like the menu). Then we went back for breakfast and the pancakes were dry and a weird texture - again inedible. Staff were friendly but not that attentive.
S.
Lazy breakfast on a Sunday did not disappoint!
Ordered coffees, the raspberry French toast and the bacon and egg butty. Both generous portions, fresh, delicious and the French toast was beautifully presented - or insta worthy some would say.
It’s casual order at the counter service, chill tunes, pastry counter and punchy coffee. Nice outdoor area. We want to go back for their take on the Benedict with slow cooked pork! No wonder this place is a popular spot at any time of the day.
D.
cool service, despite being busy food came out super fast and was amazing
B.
The food was OK and the service needs some improvement. The Edamame twist with chilli garlic sauce was good though. Good selection of beers on the tap.
L.
Finally a good coffee in New Zealand! After 2 weeks travelling around the South Island attempting to find good coffee, we ended up at Yonder on our last morning. Hallelujah that coffee was great 💃🏾 Really lovely setting and staff were nice. Can’t comment on the food but the menu looked good.
A.
The Full Yonder is a lot of food but one of the best breakfasts in Queenstown.
R.
Great vegan options however can get busy and wouldn't recommend taking a family there for dinner as it seems to be a popular spot. Love the alcoholic teapot drinks and bar buns were amazing.
B.
Great place for breakfast. Don't be in a rush. Coffee is top class. Powered USB ports at a number of tables is a modern convenience.
K.
I had breakfast there yesterday and it was good but nothing to write home about. The coffee wasn't very hot and not quite right it was too bitter and didnt have a smooth boldness to it. I had smashed avocado on toast with a poached egg. It was a good amount of avocado and the egg was cooked nicely. It was quite busy so it did take time to come out. The atmosphere and decor was fantastic. The coffee was the main let down.
S.
What a great find! Delicious food, very friendly service and a great atmosphere. The coffee was also excellent. Also tucked away from the main tourist streets, which I really liked. Highly recommend!!
E.
Yeah this place is good! Wiki wild wild West.
J.
Cool place, trendy, vibey, cool staff and sweeeet tunes. Coffee is legit! Love me some Supreme.
As a positive dude i don't like being negative but i thought some feedback may help you better things! I got the avocado on toast with bacon and was super gutted. The avocado tasted OK but the toast was dry/cold and the bacon portion was tiny as for $6 (aint gonna feed up a grown man with that) not to mention cold as!! Almost like my meal had been prepared, then chucked in the fridge for 20mins. The wifes pancakes were highly recommended and tasty but quite burnt..
Having checked reviews, heard from others and done our homework, we were pumped to check Yonder out. Not the kind of person to send a meal back especially when the cafe is busy. However, on reflection i thought I'd post up here to give feedback to help you better your food service. Stay classy
C.
Wait staff were very friendly and helpful. However held back by poor organisation/management. Queues out the door while the one person taking all orders is also plating up food from the cabinet. Resulted in a very inefficient process. Coffee was pretty average. Lamb flatbread was okay however too salty with sun-dried tomatoes and whipped feta. Steak sandwich was good. Overall an average experience.
S.
Simple and modern menu with great choices for all types of lifestyles. The atmosphere is very much living with most of the customers being locals. The poke bowls were amazing and so was the service! Finally the dessert options were truly the icing on the cake!
K.
Amazing food. Beef brisket superb, chargrilled brocollini fabulous, and best handcut fries ever!
N.
I came here many times while I was in Queenstown and every time I was greeted with friendly faces and delicious food. I tried the Blueberry stack (absolutely stunning vegan pancakes!), vegan scramble which was incredible, and the turmeric latte is out of this world - best one I’ve ever had and I’ve had quite a few in my time :) the cabinet was always stunning to look st and incredibly difficult to choose from. Great atmosphere as well - all around a stellar spot !
J.
We were looking for a healthier option for breakfast after a few days of treating ourselves and Yonder's brunch menu fit the bill. We both had the porridge with coconut milk. It was a huge portion and had a generous amount of toppings. The decor is fun and seemed like a great place to start the day. We liked that they could cater for many different dietary needs and will be back to try some of the other brunch options.
P.
Not-so-friendly staff with okay and over priced food. I’m surprised this is the best cafe in Queenstown - the staff don’t even know how to smile. 3 star because of the interior design and the live music from the bar next door, if not maybe 2 :-?
A.
Great brunch spot with an extensive and interesting menu. Can highly recommend the chipotle chorizo scrambled eggs and the summer hash
K.
I wanted to cry when I finished eating because I didn’t want the delicious food to be over. As a vegan I highly appreciated the amount of choice the menu had for me. We shared the hummus plate, charcoal bao buns and beetroot gnocchi and holy moly they were all amazing. To top it off we had some ridiculously creative and delicious cookie dessert. The place is funky, the staff are super friendly and the music was really good too.
R.
Great coffee and smoothies. I loved my coffee. The food leaves a bit to be desired. I had the kimchi bowl which was really disappointing. The kimchi lacked a depth and maturity in flavour. The rest of the dish was really dry and needed a dressing/seasoning of some sort. I will definitely order other things off the menu when I return.
K.
The food is delicious, be it a brunch, a dinner or some sweets !
They're drinks are nice too.
Awesome place with different ambiances. You can choose between the terrace, the beautiful cottage from the 19th century or the most modern space with plants and lot of natural light.
L.
The staff were extremely professional, warm and welcoming. Very informative about the menu options. The food was an amazing taste sensation! We went out looking for something different and thats what we found at Yonder. Please come to Auckland. Fabulous cocktails too 😃
N.
Incredible food, it was my favourite spot in Queenstown. Have, and will continue to recommend this spot to anyone in the area. Great atmosphere and in-house created dishes. Perfect for people with allergies!
M.
Wow. Favourite cafe, restaurant and bar in Queenstown. Great staff, such amazing decor, extensive tap beer selection. Food was great, something on the menu for everyone! You know it's been a good night when you go give the chef a hug before you leave. Thank you yonder!!
L.
Exceptional food, staff super polite and easy-going.
We had the Pork Belly Bites, the Squid and the Brisket all to share.
One thing I can say about the pork belly....is it was the BEST I have ever tasted in my entire life. Like, really, just phenomenal.
Brisket...absolutely delicious, just a beautiful melt in your mouth, soft and wonderfully cooked piece.
Great portion sizes too!
Do NOT lose your chef because I am coming back next year, because it’s now my #1 Place to eat ever!
Thank you so much for the experience!
E.
Good food, reasonably priced and friendly staff.
Really accommodated our birthday party and let us bring our own cake in.
Brisket and chips were amazing with good options for vegetarians.
10/10 would go there again.
J.
Favourite place to eat & drink in Queenstown. Atmosphere is incredible, such a cute place during the day and vibrant come evening. Food is so tasty with options for all dietary requirements. My vegan self has plenty of options to choose from and they're all delicious (I tell everyone to get the Nourish Bowl though because it's 10/10). Staff are lovely and very helpful. My top recommendation for where someone should eat and/or drink in Queenstown.
J.
Great drinks, good food, reasonable prices. Bartenders, chefs, and floor manager are brilliant and hardworking. Waitresses were real slow and inattentive - not sure where they managed to disappear to for such long stretches of time.
f.
Great local spot! I had the Tuna Poke bowl and my partner had the bacon butty, both ere fantastic. Loved the coffee too, best I've had in Queenstown. Went back for a few beers in the evening and it didn't disappoint either!
A.
The owner was kind enough to ask for an extended review, so here it goes.
I like the vibe of the place, chill non pretentious place to have a chat with your friends. Friendly staffs too.
Unfortunately, the food does not go on par with the place.
I had pulled pork benedict. It came out cold. And i didnt get the dish as an overall.
My friends ordered some other dish as well, but none was memorable for us.
I hope this helps, yonder owner. Dont get discouraged, myb its just me.
M.
I really wish Google would let me leave a 4.5 star review. The food was amazing, I had 2 serves of the Eggs Benny ( Chilli and coriander on eggs benny, bloody genius) and the service was great. Coffee was awesome and everything came out super fast.
5 stars for food and service
I was however incredibly offended by their attitude towards children with mullets. Every child deserves the opportunity to sport a wild and magnificent mullet. How dare you. 😉 I specifically didn't tip because I refuse to support such a divisive cause. Minus .5 stars.
d.
Service was lacking but food was nice. Would be good if someone came to check the table for the price we payed. Kept having to go up and line up while everyone ate. We had to take our own dishes up to make space on table . No one said thank you as we left even though we said thank you.
R.
Great food and super friendly staff.
4/5 because the menu doesn't do it's job, not explaining that the happy hour only applies to 2 out of about 10 cocktails. Same for beer and wine.
S.
Had the pork belly burger and the big breakfast here and it was delicious. The mango smoothies are also worth a try, super fresh and scrumptious
H.
We went to Yonder for breakfast on a Saturday morning after seeing decent reviews about the place.
The food was slow and extremely average. Some just felt it was reheated and for the time it took then it was a real letdown.
I did have my first tumeric latte which was really good though
k.
Nice ambience and great service. The barista was kind enough to put a fresh batch of filter on for me, and it was outstandingly well made.
R.
Exceptional food, in fact I’d go as far to say the ‘summer hash’ was one of the best brunch meals I’ve ever had!!!
M.
Great outdoor seating and good food and coffee
M.
Awesome brunch, had the bubble and squeak. Best ever! Great service and excellent value, didn’t eat agin till dinner!
A.
Fantastic food, awesome music, great service.
D.
We had a vegan butty and a corn and jalapeno fritters here for brunch. Both of the dishes were great and the service was quick. Really can't complain about anything else.
N.
Good food but slow service
C.
100% best cafe, bar, brunch, event space in Queenstown. One of the only places in Queenstown with authentic vibe and soul. If you don't think they have the best vibes in town I don't trust you. Also I shazaam like every song that plays. GF brownie is a must. Go here.
R.
Really liked this place. The breakfast bowl was really yum. Full of interesting and delicious flavors.
I.
Nice service, beautiful place and amazing food.
Big portion well seasoned and nice presentation.
Z.
Amazing amazing amazing place!!! The love child of fine dining and relaxed/casual eats ... great vibe and vegan options are delicious (get the beetroot gnocchi or just go home.. you didn’t live). Would come here alllllll the time if I lived in Queenstown! Staff are great too
M.
Delicious Supreme coffee, friendly Staff
A.
Average breakfast. Much better can be enjoyed with a bit of googling
J.
Loved the ambience. It was quite busy on Sunday. Good range of meals too. Must visit.
A.
Great place to start your day with Delicious food
Awesome staff very caring
just confirm your order, once you order, as it is a busy restaurant to avoid any confusions
Must try 😊
W.
Very cool place, fantastic character, great coffee, bright staff, vegan options.
D.
Provides options for Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Vegetarian, and Vegan. Ok coffee, but I got my usual single shot and now I wish I had gone for the double.
J.
Highly recommend this place. Lovely setting with music playing. Great vegan options. Something for everyone. Staff super friendly.
K.
Absolutely delicious!! Had the Raspberry, Pistachio French Toast. Honestly best brunch ever!!!
M.
Really really impressed the menu was simple easy to read, great staff I ordered the blueberry stack and it was PERFECT!! Had a coconut milk and hot chocolate soooo nice, if u want a place with no hassle this is it. There is not one thing I would change.
D.
Great breakfast. Coffee needed a bit more oomph. Nice outdoor seating area.
I noticed their own bee box in the park too, so extra points there.
L.
After 4 nights of indulging, my husband and I were looking for something healthy but not boring. This place will not disappoint. The service was phenomenal - a great guy served us and was lively and energetic. Also a lovely girl on her first shift.
The food is delicious - fresh & healthy and lots of great options. We shared the hummus to start (with fresh tomato and cucumber) and then the seared tuna bowl (yum!) and the kimchi bowl - also delicious.
Would happily revisit here over and over again.
E.
Great coffee, and good food. Service was on point. The chef even ran our extra side of poached eggs to the table as I'd forgotten to include them to our original order. Will be going back.
M.
Great place with cool atmosphere, I had the pork bene for breakfast and it was just average. Nice presentation but flavour was lacking. Bland would be the word to describe, I would come back again though to try something else
K.
Delicious food which was easily modified to be keto friendly. Amazing coconut latte. Great service and lovely interior decor.
D.
Food was good, coffee was good!
N.
Nice cafe with friendly staff and tasty food. Feels like the cafes in the inner west of Sydney.
Thanks guys!
J.
Coffee was ok, matcha slice was a little dry. Nice fit out and polite staff.
M.
I loved everything I had here today.
p.
Yonder is an excellent experience...best coffee and food I’ve had in Queenstown. The staff is attentive and very helpful, and the ambiance is a perfect balance of comfortable and chic. Highly recommended!
S.
Food was great. Service descent. Price reasonable.
I got the pork benny and it was amazing. Definitely recommend. The service was reasonable for how busy it was. Staff communicated that there would be a wait for food which was nice so you're not just sitting there wondering. The price was reasonable for the food, especially considering the location in queenstown and the competitor's prices.
A.
Food is delicious, lots of little touches to the dishes that make them stand out from what you'd expect from other places. The Sriracha on the eggs Benedict was a fantastic addition!
A.
Turned up for breakfast, great food and very popular. Had the porridge, very tasty, recommend it. A person in our group had the maple walnut tea. I had a smell and it smelled devine.
M.
Great vegetarian and vegan options for breakfast. Their coffee wasn't bad but ask for a single shot and not double shot unless you like strong coffee. Little bit on the pricey side but a good experience
B.
Great brekkie fantastic service!
G.
Fantastic dinner, the best food we had in 3 weeks on the South Island. Loved the vegetarian charcoal bao buns with fried tofu, the vegan and San Choy bao that had original and creative flavor combinations, and a really lovely mix of yummy roasted root vegetables. My wife also had the salmon and soba and said it was homey and comforting, definitely on point. Service was very friendly too, and not only from our waitress, but everyone in there. A lot of thought has gone into this place, with separate dinner and drinking areas, a menu which accommodates all diets, and a lot of care in the food. Excellent, and highly recommended.
V.
Great vegan option on the menu and we popped in for the open mic which was awesome. Great local and international talent.

Yonder is my go to in Queenstown for excellent coffee and epic food. They offer a comprehensive menu of delicious healthy options (V, GF, DF also) and the food is always beautifully presented. We had a function at Yonder and the staff were really helpful and attentive. I particularly love the fitout and music that provides a good atmosphere and awesome outdoor seated area with heaters where I can take my pooch.

Great casual dining experience. Lively atmosphere and delicious share plates. There was a slight delay with one of our plates, so the lovely waitress gave us desert on the house. Highly recommended.
S.
Very busy, pumping place. Staff working fast and efficient.
Good coffee and a simply outstanding savory scone.
Good vibe all round.

Really nice breakfast, just lacked some brown sauce (sorry I'm English 😜)
K.
The Lamb flat bread! Now the only thing I can order on the menu as its soooooooo good, I can't seem to move past it. Such a great spot to sit in sun on a quick lunch break or to enjoy a few wines.
A.
Was decent. The fritters need more jalapeno, and more seasoning inside the mix. Quite bland on the inside
T.
Great food and drinks but very, very busy.
D.
Really friendly staff.
Great prices.
Delicious food .
Coffee was awesome.
M.
Fantastic food but the food was very slow to be served.. I mentioned this when paying and the gentleman just said yea you get that.. shame with such good food to have to wait so long, was not that busy either. With such a excellent selection of places to eat in Queenstown, the time to get the food out needs work.
L.
Great food, unique menu items, lovely atmosphere.
Z.
Food took over 40mins to get to us and the restaurant was half empty. Waiting staff seem to find it hard to find where food was going ( poor system )
Coffee isn’t what I’d expect in NZ, pancakes were dry and cake like.
We we’re offered a drink on the house for the inconvenience, which was nice.
Maybe they were just having a off day, based on the rest of the reviews.
L.
cool spot!! friendly staff, a bit pricy but everything was so tasty so worth the splurge!
C.
Amazing food. Great options for dietary requirements. Great decor, friendly staff and fantastic coffee. The chai latte was superb. The tofu scramble and mushroom polenta were exceptional!
A.
Cozy little breakfast cafe (which looks like it can open up into a nice DJ/dance scene in the evenings -- but we didn't visit during that time). Food and coffee was good. Loved the decor.
S.
Versatility! Wow this place can be everything. Had a coffee in the morning in what felt like a coffee shop. came back for drinks later whoch felt like a restaurant pub vibe. Then the nightclub kicked into gear later in the night.
Didn't try the food but the beverages were nice.
D.
Good food OK coffee. If all vegan food tasted like the Vegan cinnamon scroll I could be tempted to eat a little less Meat
D.
Popped by for a coffee and something sweet. Tried the chocolate and beetroot square from the cake counter. What a great combination. Only just finished it, should have shared it but then again... Americano was full flavoured and served quickly. Overall great experience. Coming back seeing the band later.

Loved this restaurant. Ryan, the manager, was so lovely and friendly and made sure we had a great time. The food and the drinks were delicious. We liked it so much that we came back the next night!
A.
Well worth a visit if you're in Queenstown! Delicious food, great service and a lovely setting.
R.
We came here for dinner and loved it! All of the food was delicious and there was a great atmosphere. There are lots of great dinner spots in Queenstown, but I would recommend coming here.
D.
Great little place for snack and drink in the sun. It seemed to be very popular with all of the outdoor tabked full.
Staff were excellent. Very friendly and wonderfully helpful.
H.
Lovely coffee. The jalapeno muffin could have done with little pieces of jalapeno and not great big bits. Quick service.
C.
Hands down the best brunch spot in Queenstown! The raddest staff and quality food. Was even drawn back in to catch the live band later on and some evening bevvies. 10/10 would recommend.
C.
“Ok that was delicious” Mom says. We agree with Mom.
A.
One of Queenstown’s gems. Yonder is relaxed, modern & unpretentious, but still delivers some of the best food you will find in Queenstown. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options sit comfortably alongside the signature Beef Brisket, meaning this place truely caters to everyone. Order deep and share - everything is delicious! (And the wine list is small but on point). Highly recommended.
C.
My favourite place for breakfast in town & favourite outdoor spot for a few wines in the sunshine! Go check their menu out - it’s unreal! Bonus points for not using plastic straws!!
H.
Got the raspberry french toast - absolute perfection. Excellent coffee also. Great decor and excellent brunch spot, not to be missed
H.
Lovely brunch menu and great coffee. Food took a little while to come out but worth the wait. Fritters were delicious!
J.
Simply awesome, food was fantastic, cocktails were great and the service was awesome. Will definately be back again next time we are in Queenstown.
B.
First of all, very good food. Nice and fresh great flavours with Good serving sizes and prices to match. However both times I have been to Yonder I have had a hard time with ordering food and drinks, on both occasions the waiter has forgotten a dish, starters came out after mains. 50% of the beers on the menu were not avavible. It would be good to hear What's happening on the menu or how things work prior to figuring them out. Ie, just to let know we don't currently have all of these beers. Also please be aware starters typically come out after your main ect ect
C.
We had the kimchi bowl and pulled lamb flatbread. Both were exceptionally prepared and filling. This was one of the best options we came across wondering through Queenstown and was really well priced given how high quality it was and how expensive the other restaurants were for less being offered on menu. The music was good and there was an area for a live band to start playing at 9
B.
Great friendly yet efficient service, nice atmosphere, great food, great coffee.
L.
Hollendaise sauce and shredded pork with the egg Benny was great.
Home made Pork sausage was too salty and dry
The poached egg was undercooked
j.
Breaky, lunch, dinner, you name it this place is the bomb diggity! As a vegan this place offers a great menu, even for deserts!!!! I highly reccomened the drink the makulu sour it tastes just like PEZ!!!!! I will most definitely be coming back to this place the next time i visit.
C.
Share a briskett!
Two people can enjoy this happily. Only thing is that they don't remove the fat from it. You are only talking about 5% tho. You do get this food quickly as they are very popular.
The service is not great here. So expect a wait.
There is outdoor seating with heat lamps so you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets of Queenstown.
J.
We enjoyed a nice breakfast and coffee at Yonder. Good staff.
S.
Food was fine. While the staff were friendly they were not attentive. We would have gladly ordered more drinks if anyone had come to our table. It wasn't that busy in the grand scheme either. Shame.
M.
Yonder is probably my favourite place to suggest for people to visit in central Queenstown. With a friendly large space inside and out, beautiful surroundings, lovely staff and the most amazing food. We have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and enjoyed each as much as the other.
The menu is full of great, healthy, indulgent, orginal flavours and foods. The Dukka avacado and Kimchi bowl are two of my faves from the brunch/day menu, you will not be disappointed! The staff are passionate about the food too which always makes the experience more enjoyable- my waitress on one occasion offered to pay for my hot drink if I didn’t like it because she wanted me to try it so much, it was a coconut milk hot chocolate- and let me guarantee you she did not need to pay, it was as good as she said it would be!
For dinner, we have been with both large and small groups and they have catered equally as fantastic for both. The brisket and the lamb flatbread are both delectable for the tastebuds, but there hasn’t been a thing we haven’t loved from the menu yet either.
On top of all this, with regular entertainment and gigs, and a lively culture day and night, can you imagne why it’s such a crowd favourite? If you are in a Queenstown, Yonder is a MUST visit!
J.
The vegan wild grain salad was AMAZING! Tasty, interesting, and a very hearty size. Will definitely come back again. A decent number of vegan options.
I.
the vegan scram is delicious!
H.
Yummo, will bring the family back when in Queenstown next.
L.
+ Lots of vegan and vege options on the menu
+ Quality dishes served in perfect portion sizes
+ Located conveniently in Central Queenstown
+ Fun vibe indoors and outdoors with lots of space, light and colors
- Freshly made juice options on the menu were minimal
V.
Good vibe. Reasonably priced.
M.
The food is tasty and my friends plates were full but I was disappointed by the size of the vegan Mexican scramble... very very small I left still hungry even after cookie and coffee 😕 still likes this place very much just won't order this dish anymore
h.
Best cafe ever in all of queenstown! Friendly staff/ service, WiFi is unlimited, great drinks/food, awesome vibe with good music. I definitely recommend this cafe if you need to get some work done.
C.
Nice place. Food was average. The pork on our braised pork bene was cold. Not sure if this was intentional, however it wasn't pleasant to eat. Coffee was good.
V.
Good food let down by its service, which was far from friendly and not particularly welcoming. Could do with a front of house who welcomes people. Staff not very knowledgable, not knowing what things were on the menu.
P.
Amazing food and atmosphere lovely friendly staff we were recommended this place by someone and it was perfect for brunch good food and we had a lovely french waitress who was whistling while she was clearing up table behind us happy and friendly a bonus for this cafe to have great staff like her and the rest were friendly as well including those on the till taking orders would recommend this place to anyone visiting Queenstown
H.
Good brunch cafe.
L.
Great food and reasonable prices. Nice selection of cakes and freshly made pastries. Never had issues of getting table here. Try cocktails and sharing platters for dinner.
j.
Great breakfast, this place is very popular with people so we experienced a 40min wait but the guy on the till let us know and the coffees were quick so no big drama for us.
N.
Great food. Coffee's are on the small side. Order two!
C.
Place was ok. Staff were friendly enough but it wasn't a place with great customer service. Food was ok. Nothing really stood out here as above ordinary.
T.
Great atmosphere and food. Loads of great vegan options
T.
Probably the better of the 4 places we went to eat in Queenstown. Lovely service and breakfast. Definitely a better place to come to
M.
Lovely place to dine in - great atmosphere, flavoursome food, nice range of beers and wine and service is great.
TUNA PLATE is really delicious and TOFU BAO BUNS are also good but quite chilli.
P.
Yummy food and great service! I'll come back! 😋👌🤗
A.
Excellent tasty and fresh meal with a couple of lovely cocktails. The beef brisket is to die for and there is definitely enough for 2 people!
J.
Such a fun place and good food. Big fire place is nice in winter time
D.
Why did it take me so long to try this place? One of the best vegan brunch menus in Queenstown, decent coffee and excellent service.
I would say it's very Melbourne, but is that a good thing or a bad thing 😋
G.
Well priced with good options but had to wait way too long - over an hour for food to arrive.
S.
Amazing food and service. Will definitely be back. Nice to see a range of vegan food 😊 eggplant emoji was delicious!!
D.
A great find, with nice beersies
G.
Great coffee at good prices. Went on a Sunday and there was live very nice music being played by a guy in the outside area
D.
DINNER WAS SOOOO GOOD
Recommend getting small plates and sharing. Squid and pork belly were sensational! The greens were fresh and weren’t overpowered with other unnecessary flavours.
Great selection of beers.. as they say, when in doubt - pick an XPA. The rule never disappoints.
Decor was on point. Only disappointment is.... there was a curtain covering up a neon sign? Everyone loves a little neon.
K.
Loved the Chipotle scrambled eggs.
M.
Service was fine, but I would not recommend the salmon. It was drowned in some green pea paste and the flavor was not pleasant at all...especially for $25. Unpleasant to say the least.
S.
Food was yummy and came quick. Portions sizes are SMALL!!! Ancient grains salad was tiny. We were rushed out of our table.
V.
Scrumpdillyicous! We had breakfast here this morning. Rex and his crew bammed up some of the most delicious breaky. Flowers on the food is a neat touch. Also one of the few places in NZ that call it ketchup like us Canadians. 5 meals, 5 smiles 😁
A.
Great coffee and amazing healthy super food breakfasts
E.
Amazing food and friendly good service. Found the coffee a little watery. Great decor, love the plants and wallpaper.
J.
Very creative menu, best spot in queenstown
S.
Very impressed. Diverse food selection, all beautifully cooked and presented. Outdoor and indoor spaces are very comfortable and welcoming.
K.
Omg must try the pancakes and add the bacon! Delicious!!! What a great versatile restaurant/cafe/bar/club!
P.
Massive beef brisket for two. Almost too big to eat! Very tender and decent sauce. Fries very average however, thus one star reduction.
